- Inquisition is one of the most important American black metal bands of all times. This two-part interview was done at Steelfest 2022 festival with Dagon. The 2nd part of the interview will come out a week after this one.

Helps that Jerry is probably the opposite of 99% of interviewers. No fake shit just honesty and music with no hidden goal or motive to hide behind. I can't remember a single interview where Jerry dropped the ball!

Definitely one of the most special Black Metal bands of all time. Easily top 5 Black Metal of all it's different forms.
Seen them twice, first time almost over 10 years ago in New Orleans. One of my good friends is a huge fan and personally got them to play the gig. They were my introduction into back metal and although I'm not the biggest fan of the genre as a whole I LOVE this band and have supported them since the night I met them. My friend gifted Jason a real found goats skull and Jason just stared at this thing in reverence the entire time before they played. Smoked a J with Tom the drummer in the back alley, really friendly guy. Jason didn't partake and didn't talk much and was very stoic the entire time but i could tell he was serious about the thing he was about to do and wasn't going to be influenced by any unwanted external force. They played, no make up and on a local bands equipment, and blew me away. Epic band. Epic dudes.

Absolutely awesome, Dagon is one of those guys that speak with intelligence and coherent arguing, I've been friend of him for long time here in Colombia we've share some few times discussing about Metal and drinking a beer, Inquisition it's one of the most original bands I've ever heard. Total respect!
Can't wait for the coming second part of this inti, and hopefully we (Witchtrap) will share stage with mighty Inquisition here in Colombia on early Oct .

Dagon is an really interesting dude. Inquisition is one of the greatest black metal bands to ever exist, and is certainly the best American black metal band. Thank you putting this up.

I saw Inquisition live in this tiny community center in Victoria BC with several other great bands.

I probably could have, but never tried to meet the gentleman behind Inquisition that evening..
I never knew Dagon was such a well spoken, thoughtful, intellectual type.
I found his deep thinking and analytical approach refreshing, and very enjoyable to listen too.
As is often the case with metalheads (specifically) they are much more than meets the eye.

Ambrosia theatre? 2010 and that was a great show and I was in the band gyibaaw supporting them and along with the whole tour across Canada haha was a blast

Those pure holocaust riffs are absolutely underrated.

Thanks for the interview! They really are black metal legends. Never have I heard such beatifuly made black metal, which can evoke such a wide array of emotions. Althought I wish to hear what Incubus has to say too about his process in the band and in general of his relation with metal.

I've had a great time touring across Canada with inquisition back in 2010 and getting to know Dagon and Incubus was great. Very well spoken and a attentive listener! Even a simple conversation, he speaks like this for sure. Great interview as usual my mang and hails from Canada Eh 🇨🇦

I'm loving this interview because it gets deep thought by the interviewee. Other metal interviews are short and shallow, just about alcohol, drug abuse and personal conflicts. This one stands out. Great job, Rauta!
