@Oris: This perfectly shows that you make great watches! My BC3 Day Date (2011 vintage) has been to war two times and numerous visits to Southeastern-Asian jungles! Still functions and looks great. Fantastic watch...
What I really, REALLY like is how you don't try to eliminate ALL marks. The deep marks still show. Eliminating them would change the shape of the watch too much.
Thank you, Oris and the team for this video and the love you seem to put on it. I am waiting for my dream BC3 arrival! It will be similar to the one in this video, very dirty. I would love to have the equipment for a professional cleaning but I don't have it. Anyways! I am extremely happy I finally found a good one, it will be with me until the end. ⌚❤🐻
Check our our strap shop, just need to key in the reference number of your watch for matching straps. www.oris.ch/product/strap Alternatively, do get in touch with our local agent / service centre for further assistance.
I have a BC3 back in 2003, first automatic Swiss watch I had, loved it, used It well, but the service cost from the authorized service center in the Philippines is almost buying a new one... and it sat in my safe ever since... awaiting for the right direction to have it serviced in the future.
The watchmaker did a great job cleaning it up. Still, can't say I'm a fan of the polishing and hand replacement. Scratches and wear shows that the watch has been used and cherished, polishing all that out makes just another safe queen.
I disagree. They didn't over-polish the watch and it still maintains some of the deeper dings. The hands in particular are a functional piece that they were right to replace. Lume fades over time, and unless the owner wants this to be a safe queen then the hands will need to be replaced for the watch to maintain full function in the dark.
I'm surprised the person maintaining this watch wasn't wearing a haz-mat suit let alone gloves. Interesting to note that this owner replaced the original rubber strap. I wonder if their strap also split where it meets the lug, as it did on my watch. Any reason as to why the rotor is plain silver instead of red and silver as in my BC3?
Very interesting video. I've got exactly the same watch and I love it❤. Mine is not dirty and well serviced, but it does have a lot of scratches😊. But it runs perfectly. Only the lume is kind of poor now.. am thinking of a re-lume.
Cost depending on movement type and any replacement parts involved. Best is to contact our local service centre and provide the reference of your watch for a quote.

I love this Oris BC3 watch...but mine has a dial indices of 3, 9, 12 and bars on it only. I wonder what model or year it was made... if anybody can tell me some info about it is much appreciated...thank you.❤

I love these videos. They show how Oris watches are truly a lifetime investment that can be passed on for generations to come.
I've got exactly the same watch since 2000. You did a great job restoring this piece.

Always a pleasure seeing these restorations. Thank you.
A sheer pleasure to watch perfectly timed precision work.
Some of the watches you restore should still be available to buy today because they are amazing and the restorations are fantastic

Fantastic to see that watch was used and brought back to a new near condition❤
Uwielbiam oglądać takie przemiany zegarków ORIS. Ta systematyczność, precyzja, czystość doprowadzająca zegarek do piękna czyni mnie szczęśliwszym. Dziękuję.

Omg. It is strong and beautiful.

This is an early BC3 before they adopted red rotors. I used to have the same model with silver rotor.
ORIS-💪
This is so satisfying to watch
I can see why they charge around £300 to repair and refurbish my BC3 now, although it wasn't as bad as the one featured!
Like the comments below, I just love these videos! They are just hypnotic seeing a well-used watch being given a new lease on life.

Awesome ❤
Love it :)
So not all Oris have a red rotor?! I learned something new today. Great video
No not all. I have the same watch with the same rotor.
Beautiful! How would a watch restoration cost, nothing severe maintenance, no bracelet change, no glass nor bezel, just maintaining the movement?
Cost depending on movement type and any replacement parts involved. Best is to contact our local service centre and provide the reference of your watch for a quote.

Do you still make the big crown pointer date 40mm in green (with red pointer).
Did you replace the movement?
It was serviced and cleaned.
