I honestly can say after decades of watching in car racing footage it is SO bizarre watching this and only hearing the tires squeal……well done on the track :) thanks for sharing this.
All I5 are RWD, this was just the smaller 58kwh battery version which has a slightly lower power too. Check your local track regs, a lot have clamped down on EVs now due to danger when crashed.
Thanks for the info, I realize all single motor I5s are RWD but some here in the states are AWD. I missed the fact that this was the lower hp model, I think the 225hp RWD performs well enough. I will look into my local track details, great vids BTW 0:02 ! 👍
I am surprised there's so little tire squealing, is the torque vectoring so good or did you not push it that much? Or is the wind so loud the microphone does not pick up the tire sounds well?
There was plenty of tyre squeal especially on the hard turns but the mic didn't really pick it up so it gets lost in the road noise. Less high pitched squeal that traditional, perhaps down to the foam lined tyres?

It was equally bizarre inside doing it
so wild not hearing anything or seeing any gear changes. what a time to be alive.
Oh those poor tires 😂. Great runs! The silence is amazing. Surprisingly capable car even after some poor coffee.
Those tyres were not expecting it
Not hearing the roar of a combustion engine still feels weird to me... nice run👍
That was awesome to watch, nice that you got yourself some Crewetube licenceplates as well :D
Stuck on with the world's stickiest tape.
Looks like a good time, would that be the RWD model? If so I think taking my RWD LR to open track should be enjoyable.

It is soooo quiet.
to be fair, that guy was driving a 308, so all the cheating in the world will not change that.
Actually a woman, elderly one at that and wife of an astronaut....
