someone has to tell Rourke that his stance, constantly half-swinging in the zone while the pitcher is halfway through his windup is KILLING him. He's having to pull back AND swing WHILE the ball is being delivered. It's destroying him. It's such an easy fix and he'll be a masher in BB 5 if he makes that one adjustment I swear.

Couldn't be more correct. It's something that has driven me absolutely crazy since the very first AB I've seen from him in the warehouse. Those ill-timed practice swings kill his whole approach.

My less obvious turning point: Jack deciding to hit Rourke second. Rourke left the bases loaded in the 1st and I have to imagine Jack would have wanted himselc up in that situation instead. Rourke's two other ABs he broke the dang strike zone, which enforced a lengthy delay in Jack's ABs, which I think could have been at least a partial factor in him not having a very good day at the plate.
The turning point was the second time Joez was called out for being up in the net this match.
For insanities sake, my floorball hopes are: The Breakdowns 4th - 0 Points, The Story 3rd - 1 Point, The Goodfellas 2nd and win regular season - 4 points, The Rippers 1st - 5 points. Overall would be a 4-way tie for 1st place (10 points each) and everyone will have won once!
That would be utterly hilarious.

Next tiebreaker would be second highest finish and so on! First place regular season finishes could also factor in.

The turning point in this game was actually Lou's walk in the first, which brought up Dan to ground out. Lou was the Rippers' best chance to do damage and a walk wasn't enough
Also imo Rourke felt like an automatic out after that first K. He's just too emotional up there. Shelfy couldn't find the zone, the previous batters showed how to take and walk and Dan comes up and immediately hacks angrily.
Also make this another zone broken. He broke the BIP zone too. Kinda unacceptable. I agree that fines need to be issued.

Rourke had a rough game, but neither of those fielding plays were really gettable (maybe the double if he hadn't taken a step forward, but even then that catch is insanely hard on its own)
@@sebastianbaquero7227 The single would have been tough but if you watch the wide angle replay back at 29:06, Rourke is not ready to react to a hit when the Doyle is pitching. His feet are crossed up as Shelfy hits it and it's been well established that the fielders should really be playing to stop side wall singles. If he blasts one up the middle, so be it. But if they're playing towards the corner/side wall to begin with and if he's actually ready to react to the hit, I'm pretty sure Rourke at least gets a hand on it. He was a step and a half away from it as it was.
@@erica8863The Rippers were not really making this adjustment. They were still setup like most teams in the beginning, moving toward the center for fly balls off the ceiling.

Turning point was Rourke breaking the strike zone the first time. The break to fix the glass threw the Rippers off and they never came back from it.
Turning point was Jack Doyle walking Jolly to load the bases even though he had 2 strikes and Jolly admitted to being in a blender and not knowing what Jack was going to do. Dan Rourke miss timing that jump to stop the double set up the rest of his blunders for the rest of the game. Lou and Lucas were perfect.

Massive props to the production team!! This championship game was somehow presented better than any other warehouse game I’ve watched. Keep improving yall are the best
Huge redemption story for Jolly Olive.
Grabbing Dalton and Shelfy ended up paying off. People questioned the Dalton pick but he was arguably the 3rd or 4th best pitcher across the entire league. And Shelfy found a way to make it work. Pitching wins and in the championship game, Dalton/Shelfy outpitched Doyle/Lou.
Boy oh boy I hope Doyle drafts and captains well enough in floorball to somehow steal his way out of last because the idea of him being relegated to pool player is just depressing.
But I believe Jake has the 1-1 which gives him Luke O and a huge advantage, and Jimmy knows hockey and can play as well.
Jolly has 6-11-12 in floorball though so it might be tough for him. If he gets skunked then all jack needs to do is either win the reg season OR make the finals and he stays
I am looking forward to it. He’s the least strategic of the four, and I think goofs and gaffes are a lot more fun when you’re not the boss.
The turning point in this game was when Dan chose that batting stance.
So Rourke absolutely fell asleep in the field, totally letting Jack down. Then at the plate, he just took hacks at everything, and threw a tantrum. What a joke, Rippers absolutely choked.
The Storiale bat flip is a classic.
Turning point has gotta be Lucas throwing ball 1 in the top of the first. If that's a strike he doesn't get pulled, Doyle never comes in to give up those three runs that ultimately cost them the game.
I think the turning point has to be when Zack Esposito played Master of Puppets on his phone speaker, ripped the bat out of Jolly’s hands, and absolutely cranked a 5 run homer that landed in I believe Timbuktu

The turning point was Dalton's double to open the scoring with 2 RBIs. The Rippers were no hit in the championship game after previously being unbeaten. So The Goodfellas never looked back after that play.
Rourke needs to completely rebuild his swing. He’s still pulling his bat back when the ball is already on its way.

My other, more direct turning point: Jack walking Cohen in the 1st. He let the Goodfellas' worst hitter get on for free and he holds them to zero runs if he gets Cohen out instead.
