@@Eeowna sometimes I wish I’d looked into prices of games more before I actually purchased my switch 😂 I’ve also been stung before by spending £40 on a game that then runs like poop on the switch :(
@@emilymills4832 i always check written or video reviews for game performance on the switch, I don't trust them after buying my first game that ran like crap on the platform, especially since Nintendo are garbage with refunds. The prices are just nintendo being money hungry which is disappointing
Nintendo has this policy, they want people to at best immediately after release buy and play the games they like. One of their officials once said if the prices can drop people will wait for the discounted prices to arrive before buying a game, so they did this to get more people to not wait on a discount. It is also probably profitable for them.
Check out DekuDeals to track games you want and get notified if there’s a good sale! Especially for indie games lots of games go on deep discount
I'm sort of hoping they'll turn Pokemon Concierge into a game. I'd love to run a hotel with Pokemon and I have to complete tasks to keep them happy and have them leave a 5-star review. The show is so cute and it would be a great crossover to a game!

I absolutely love Sky: Children Of The Light. I started during tbe Aurora era and I miss that so much! Being able to wait for a 'concert' with literally thousands of players is so fun 🥰
My partner is OBSESSED with Pokémon Cafe lol, and it’s honestly super adorable. They haven’t spent a dime on it, and it makes for a great cozy bedtime game
I have played Palia for more hours than some of the most expensive games I've bought, it's no joke 😂 it runs very smoothly on the Switch Lite and is such a calming experience right before sleep ❤ On the other hand...Sky...gave me lowkey motion sickness, that camera is moving like CRAZY. I tried to stay for the graphics, but it just kept making me dizzy so I deleted it. Sooo here's a little disclaimer for Sky~

I really like these recommendations! Could you also do some budget game recommendations some time? Maybe one more people might like: I've been playing a lot of Vampire Survivors lately, I was introduced to it through the free trial game that Nintendo Switch Online offers from time to time. It was less than €5 and I feel like it's cosy/relaxing once I understood the game mechanics
Been obsessed with Guardian Tales for a while now, and it's free to play. It's one of those games where it's good in short bursts (15-30 min a day), but it's beneficial to play daily.
Tetris 99 is the game I play the most often on my switch. I've won 1st place quite a few times, but last time I played I ended up 2nd place like 5 times in a row and I rage quit lol.
I would love a remake of Pokemon Puzzle League, but I’d love more original/different spin off games as well.
Got a Switch Lite last holiday season... and picked up the obvious Nintendo exclusives like Zelda and Mario, but surprisingly enough, I spend way more time playing free titles like Pokemon Unite and Guardian Tales over any of the games I paid for! Some other games I absolutely love are Moonlighter and Cozy Grove... these do cost some $$, but they go on sale quite often for as low as 7-12 bucks!

Hey there Eeowna!! Have you tried the *Atelier* series ever? I feel like you would love it!! I currently have experienced only one of the games in the series and absolutely hated it personally lol bc I'm not much of a "cozy" gamer (Atelier Ryza 1), but!! upon a deeper dive into the rabbit hole, I've discovered some of the other titles seem more appealing to me!! Namely Atelier Totori, Lulua, and Meruru!! Although initially I thought Atelier Ayesha and Atelier Shallie looked cool, I didn't vibe at all with the snippets I saw of the intros on UA-cam aside from the music and some aesthetic choices, so I chose to take a peek at the others xD Definitely the non-Atelier Atelier games in the series that take a completely different rpg approach are the most/only ones that appeal to me(Iris and Mana Khemia), alongside some originals (Lilie, Judie, and Violet entries, although these last 3 have not yet been translated to english) ~ the Atelier series is cutesy slice of life/magical girl/coming of age visual novel with light rpg elements, collecting, crafting, and depending on the title, time constraints/management as the core fundamentals! It might quickly become a new comfort series for you, so I thought I'd share!! :)
If you're a Disney fan, Speedstorm is worth playing for the music alone! The only game where I have voice and sound effect volumes turned way down, and music volume cranked all the way up!

Tetris 99 is awesome, though I tend to play the (non-free) Tetris Effect much more these days (endless "purify" mode is great for distracting from pain).
I got sucked into Sky: Children of the Light for a long time, but eventually the expensive passes required to get the coolest stuff got to me and I had to quit playing. It's great if you don't care much about cosmetics, but otherwise... be careful.
Warframe is another huge, free game, but it has a relatively steep learning curve. Not exactly a cozy game or one I could get into, but I know a lot of people get sucked into it for many, many hours. Great graphics, too.
If we're talking free racing games, Asphalt 9 Legends is the best you can get on Switch. Amazing racer.
Pokemon Quest was my go to switch game for the longest time! The graphics are cute and I was so confused when you said it was micro transactiony 😂 when I'm broke i am INCAPABLE of seeing buy options. But yeah, I recommend Pokemon Quest, it's fun and a good game to play while watching tv :)

I would actually recomend Guardian Tales too , I love this game , its super cute and I love the hero collection 🙂

Hey so I found a really good cozy game it’s called Blanc it’s about a deer and a wolf pup who have to adventure through the snow it can be played single player or 2 player I highly recommend.
Pokémon quest is completely different in China. They have so much more added on to the game
Palia is a problem. In the best possible way. I've spent entirely too much time on this game, and I haven't even gotten into too much decorating,which is the reason I started playing in the first place. I do hope we get more areas to explore soon though.
But I cannot believe this is a free game.

I play Pokemon Cafe on the Ipad and I love it! It's so cute. Running a Pokemon daycare sounds so fun! And cute lol
Fallout Shelter is also free to play! I've been playing it since it dropped on mobile back when Fallout 4 was released in 2015. And in 2018 it was released on the switch as well 😊. It also has microtransactions but you can totally play it and enjoy it without paying for anything. It's a post-apocalyptic managament game set in a vault! You're the "overseer" and your job is to guide the people aka dwellers, you need to asing them jobs and keep them fed and happy! I'm sure most have already played it and forgotten it but it's still fun and very addictive! 😊
I went to check and couldn't find this game in the store, is it no longer available on Switch?
Edit: I also checked through my phone and the app store said the game isn't available for my country, so maybe the Switch version isn't available for Europe or mainland Europe

I don't think Deltarune ch 3 and 4 will be free. Chapter 2 also wasn't going to be free initially, but Toby changed his mind because of the pandemic, as in, he gave Deltarune ch 2 for free so that you could spend the money on other indies. But I've always assumed the rest of the game won't be free.

This might be a slightly controversial pick, because it's a port of a mobile game (and therefore, has a lot of mobile game features - including microtransactions, gacha characters, and worst offender, a stamina system) BUT all that said, I really like the game Guardian Tales. It's an old school Zelda top-down style with a mix of combat & puzzles, but the fighting & exploration just feels better on Switch than it did on mobile!
I just got my switch and tried to play online.. shocked because I have to pay again.. yeah, broke me.. now got broken hearts lol like wait I paid for my Internet and cartridge then whyyy owning a game is not enough.. kinda regretted spending money on switch

then i found out it wouldn’t turn on so i had to send it to nintendo for repair 😢😢😢😢
