- Cashew farming is a long-term project. It is highly profitable provided you grow it properly with a right marketing plan. In addition to that, cashew plantation project demands an adequate amount of land for cultivation. So, if you have agricultural land and you want to go for a farming business, then cashew farming is just perfect for you.
Basically, cashew is an export-oriented crop. You can grow cashew for nuts. It is highly delicious and nutritive. Therefore, it is popular as ‘wonder nut’. The scientific name of cashew is Anacardium occidentale L. And it belongs to the Anacardium family.

Thank you from the United Kingdom. I had no idea such hard work went into getting the cashew nuts. I'll certainly look on them in a different light now. God bless all who work so hard for me.
The fact that so much of that is done by hand - every single nut, handled individually at least twice, before you pick it up is mind blowing!
Your telling me, that they handled deez nuts?
When you eat a cashew , it just take one or two second , if you can feel the labor behind it ! you gonna respect the worker behind it ! Good video , thanks for sharing !
SİÇ,EWA!
Amazing, love cashews more than any other nut
I was even ashamed eating a bag of these while watching this :-/
@Hannah Bobandy The sort of occupational pathology you're describing does happen but less so with time. There's gloves from the olive and grape harvesting shelf that are exactly the right combination between tactility of latex and protection from excoriation and callosities. Rather than forgo a most excellent nut just go for a product that is traceable and look into the indicators for the region. In any case, I think with the cashews it's a question of chemical burns rather than toxins, per se; the video spent no time for the toasting phase which implicates tat aspect. Howdy, Hannah
@@lucusinfabula In addition to a certain amount of acidity, the ergonomics is alarming. And I don't think they are paying a deserving amount from this. How would one go about finding out ways to advocate this type of farmland increase in compensation with less effects to negative transfers of costs, especially to valid women's job securities.
I appreciate eating Cashew now, it's really not easy to prepare, and I also knew the right spelling hehe Thank you and to all who work hard for the product may God bless you.
So much behind the scenes work goes into so many things we all enjoy! We are all so spoiled! Everyone needs to know where things come from and maybe people wouldn't be so dissatisfied with life in general! A lot of work goes into things we can simply pick up off the shelf and enjoy!
cashew trees donot require much care.
Coconut oil extraction (manual)is triple times difficult than cashew shell removal.it's just similar to shrimp export or marine food processing unit.
Really hope u have'nt seen a real cashew farm in ur life. If u made to pick cashews from the trees one day u'll realise wats real back pain is. Farms shown in this video is clearly curbed and cleaned but in reality cashew trees were large and bushy.

@@ItispurplecatitS not the trees that's the problem, they are toxic when raw and cause terrible skin allergies to workers hands plus child labour used, this is not the full story😅 white washed for PR.
Cashews cost so much but I bet these workers only get a few pennies per hour of hard work. :(
Boycott cashews!
They do the work . when employees ask for to much money they get replaced by machines .
@@MrZeaos so easy for you! Think about these farmers...
@@MrZeaos Yeah, then they won't even get the few pennies....that'll learn them.
The intensive manual labour involved into harvesting just one cashew nut is the reason why it is still a expensive nut.
I know a shop where I buy 1 kg of good tasty cashew nuts for just 8 euros. That still seems way too cheap considering all the labour. But then again 8 euros is more then most people around the world earn per day.
Never th0ught about how labor intensive it is to provide us with cashews. I'll appreciate them even more now.
This video is but one of millions that EVERYONE Should See!!! It is a very "Humbling" video! We All take for granted the Convenience of Everything that is in the stores where we shop! We do not Realize ALL OF THE HARD WORK it takes JUST TO GET THESE PRODUCTS HERE!!! I would like to THANK ALL WHO ARE INVOLVED IN THE AVAILABILITY OF THESE PRODUCTS!!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!
I love them. Now I appreciate them even more seeing all the work that goes into raising and harvesting them. God Bless all the workers!
I will never complain about the price of cashews again. God bless these hard-working people who don't even have a table to work at cracking the shells with a stick.
And tha secretion from the covering of the nut burns the skin if it's directly contacted
@@wathsalahewaganinge6172 I just wanted to cry seeing the extremely difficult labor involved in the final cashew product. I appreciate those people so very, very much. I saw the lady with what looked like a bleeding finger. 🙏🏽
I will think of these people, tomorrow and everyday after that, whenever I enjoy a cashew.
Or maybe don't buy cashews anymore?
@@PeaceNoWar288 I'm not sure it's that simple. Don't have the economical knowledge to say whether a transition to another job is possible or this is their only chance. I see your point though, but I'm also uncomfortable with the idea of buying a product that physically harm people producing it..
@Jean-Baptiste Dupas
How are they being physically harmed? They aren’t.
What about farmers??

The labor force are just staggering. Salute for all of the workers so that we can have these delicious produce. Thanks noal farm for the vids 😁
Sulli Adi I was just going to comment on that. In comparing tropical nuts to those that grow in US like Walnuts, hazelnuts, and pecans, the price may seem high to us but harvest and shelling seems quite labor intensive. I can’t imagine how little the farm workers actually make. I love nuts of all kinds no matter the price. If we want to eat products that grow outside our residential region and/or don’t want to grown n farm, have to pay someone else to do it! Just wish the field workers made more.
@@evelynwildman1290 How can we make sure they do? Like, more permanent ownership of properties (from compensation portfolios) for them (women) first and then their family to keep it in parities through economic collaborations.
Such hard work by those ladies...truly impressive as well as sad. Thank you!
God Bless these hardworking people ! 🙏🙏🙏
What hard labour these people go through while we in the Western world have no idea about the laborious process cashews are grown and harvested. Now I appreciate every cashew I put into my mouth.
Sweat shops to cheery music -- gotta love it!
It is beyond me how anyone could sort nuts more than an hour without going blind.
I have a friend who spent years picking radish seeds from a conveyor belt.
I remember when I saw a cashew tree for the first time and since then I have been wondering how they remove the shell from the nut without breaking the nut.
Today I learned something new. :)
Thanks to all of the workers for their hard work. I appreciate their labors. Blessings to all who work in any industry.
I won't be shoving a handful in my mouth at a time any more. I will savour every single morsel!
There’s a lot of back breaking work that goes into harvesting cashews. Helps me to appreciate all the hard work that goes into getting cashews
Cashews sell around $8 a pound in the U.S. It's expensive d/t labor costs.
Dang I feel like a Shit for eating them so fast!! amazing what it takes to get such a small product to the stores!! Gratitude for the Hard workers all over the world!
Eat them as fast as you'd like. More cashews = more purchases = more pay for those workers
dopeviibes Actually the guilt is those workers get hardly any of that.
SoldierPrince Then why don’t they ask for a higher salary? Or just quit and find a better paying job? Chances are this is the best they can do. If an employer agreed to hire them for a certain amount, and they agreed to get the job, then it is fair.
dopeviibes you really want to understand the game then snap out of it, don’t have the patience or time to explain this one.
Cashews and Almonds are my go-to nuts. Thank you for your hard work. /salute
Another wonderful tasty gift from the Nature.
I found this channel 2 days ago can't get enough of your videos
They are so exotic looking. My favorite. I could eat the whole can!
Excellent farming and processing of Cashew Nut- Thank you so much Noal Farm.
OMG, the work involved in harvesting and processing of cashews is mind-boggling 🤤! I had an idea but not until I saw the video, did I realize how labor intensive it is. I don't know if the US uses more machinery instead of manual labor but I feel sorry for the workers shown here because I imagine they get paid very little. Next time I eat cashews, I will always think of the hard work they put in to get the cashews to our table. (I won't complain about their high price ever again).
it seems they do not grow in north america. there grow where there are lots of people who need work a lot... sigh . they ought to cost a million dollars a pound, i agree.
I appreciate that so much to know that they are very important people they are the first place in the world no farmers no civilization
Many thanks to all the hard working folk there . 😀
I never knew how much work went into harvesting and preparing this for consumption, I now have a new appreciation for them, the cost and for you the workers. Thank you for sharing and God bless! ..from America.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm salvadoreño and black there almost every single house has more then one tree and we also eat the fruit too we make aguas jus like orchat
No wonder they are so high priced at the store
Their price in the US and EU is more closely related to California water right laws. Production, harvesting, packaging, labor and shipping is no more costly than locally grown products in either country. CA has both cornered the market and has relegated water control to those who own the land, allowing growers to astronomically inflate pricing per ounce. Also, the fruit isn't mass consumed in US or EU, driving the price even higher. Interestingly, MX and Asia learned centuries ago how to neutralize the fruits' potential poison and use it's pulp or meat in different desserts.
It cost under $1/lbs at Vietnam but the cost to ship it cost 130%( shipping + tax ) more so that’s why it is more expensive at most market in US
They are a high risk to manufacture. They contain the same family of oil on the shell that is in poison ivy and oak. That's why they need the masks and gloves to shell them.
And this is really strange that mechanical engineers did not develop machines to this production process so far.. almost all is by hands !

Incredible video! I love cashews. I hope I NEVER take them for granted again. The processes & people that work so hard to bring cashews to the world. God bless you all & THANK YOU! Great video! ❤👏👏👏❤
Next time I have some Cashews, I'll spend a little time thinking of the people who have made it possible for me to enjoy them! Excellent video.
What a sweat shop ! Couldn’t imagine working there!
Wow I have a new appreciation for the people that work so hard to prepare these delicious nuts
It's like someone put happy music over slave labor footage
That is not slave labor. This is how it's done in other countries.
Lol the USA is slave labor. You ever work in a factory in the US? US workers are the most productive of the world by about 14%. Remember workers from Russia had runaway because of how Americans are expected to work nonstop.
Slave vs paid job. You should know how differentiate between them.
@@MrKamei You mean compensated vs paid job they are both slaves. Slaves were offered a place to live in and food. Their conditions differed according to their owner's treatment just like wages. Some were given good wage/treatment (minority) others were not.
@@subfreak1621 then, what are you? Bro. Ask yourself 😊 if slaves are paid then how is slaves different from employees?? Paying a slave is not compulsory. But paying an employee is compulsory. We all work in a company,or government departments, earn money and bring the food on the table for our family. You want to quit the job? Does it not make you happy? Then, you can leave the job and look for another job which suits you best. But in case of slaves, no you have any choices. The master own your life. Now, let's go back to your ideas. Are you a slave? Am i a slave? If yes, then, did they treat you the way the American treated the black slaves back then. If no, then don't call yourself a slave. You don't deserve to be a slave.
God bless the workers. I will never frown on the price of these nuts again.
In Indonesia so cheap
I like to use roasted & salted cashews to make cashew butter. I chop them to a powder in a food processor, then combine the powder with coconut oil a small amount of raw honey to make the butter. Delicious! Thanks for providing cashews to the world!
whoa !! I had no idea or really gave any thought about where a cashew nut came from ....huge thumbs up !!!
Sooo much respect for this farmers. They do a hats work for every singel nut🤲🙌
These products is uniquely handmade..thank you very much!
Beautiful farming👍👌
Wow. A whole new appreciation for the cashew nut and those that enable us to eat them.
But the beautiful fruit is just as delicious as the nut. In Brazil the people make the most wonderful cashew fruit juice... It's soooo filled with Vitamin C as well. WHAT A WASTE!
THEY ARE BOTH RED AND YELLOW FRUIT. YOU CAN EAT THEM RAW OR JUICE THEM.
😭💔💔💔😭
WELL,. IF THAT'S PART OF THE PAY (SIDE) BENEFITS OF THE WORKERS, THEN BLESS THEIR HEARTS.
HARE KRISHNA 😋
Wow... I've only just googled how cashews are grown today. This is absolutely amazing.
Be grateful to these highly skilled tradespeople for their knowledge of the cashew as it's both difficult to shell and if not pre-treated before shelling the toxic fumes and oil can rob you of you eye site, scorch your throat, poison you to death. Cashew farming is risking business, not only does the business depend on Mother Nature but on precise science and knowledge.
Much more labor intensive than most people understand. Great video. I have had jam and wine made from the fruit, but it's hard to find here in the U.S.
I want to try a cashew apple, it sounds like it would be tasty (I read it tastes like cucumber, strawberry, mango and bell peppers). But I’ve never seen one here in the US. Wish they made them more available (I read that their skin is super fragile so the cashew industry focuses on the nut instead of having to ship the apples which is lame).

Cashew tree or kasoy is part of my childhood😅, thanks for this video
My back was aching watching this and I'm sitting in my comfy computer chair.
Now on to how pistachios are made because those things are expensive too...
Thanks for sharing, now I know why the process is so long and I have be told that the acid of the nut while processing, is so aggressive to the skin, seeing the gloves the ladies and gentlemen wear in the process. I enjoy eating these nuts and I am extremely grateful to all these people for making it happen 👍
One prayer per cashew I eat for the hands that harvested them and prepared them. God bless you.
Thanks nice video ❤️
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Ca, ca, ca, CASHEW! God bless you.
Interesting, thanks.
Wondered the price of cashews too high....now I understood the video of people works. Thank you all of cashew employees for their hard work from the tree to the store. Bless them. Without them...we will miss eating cashews!!! I do make cashew cookies for Christmas only and sometimes snack. I would LOVE to visit the farm and processing for thanks for hard work.
Salute to all workers, and God will bless you all.
It looks like a lot more work goes into farming cashews than I realized. I had an idea but I took it for granted
Talk about a hard day at work, bless those people for what they do.
oh my God. it's a very hard job
i dont why im watching this at 2.11 am...
I will never look at a cashew or any nut the same again. You guys work very hard to bring us this delicious product. Thank you. Is the apple part used as well?
Thank you cashew workers!!!

Very good ☺️ I learned something new today 😊
I think eating Beef has less of a negative impact than eating Cashews! A lot of work, emissions, and human labor!
Manual processing, takes time.but still amaze specially to workers
