Limak Dallaf A walking foot allows you to sew evenly through multiple layers of fabric. Or to work with a "piled" fabric such as a plush which would otherwise travel and move as you sew. By applying pressure from both the top and the bottom of the stitches the fabric is less likely to slip apart.
