- Tonight we're drawing and explaining a spacetime diagram of the entire universe.
The universe is far larger than 14 billion light years, and expanding way faster than the speed of light.

I used to always find it somewhat comforting to be able to simplify the universe to one image (with the cosmic background) but as I learned more about it, it almost became more mystical and curious… uncovering the universe is truly mankind’s greatest mystery and mission. Loved the video Rich!

2:02:26: 🌌 The green spheres represent the Hubble spheres, with each one being a multiple of the speed of light away from us.
2:12:47: 🌌 The furthest distance we can see in the universe is about 4 billion light years away, matching the particle horizon.
