What are you saying about Sonic the Werehog? Those stages are more bearable in the Wii version.
@@brannycedeno6823 they're shorter and have less enemies. But not because of the difficulty curve, because the Wii couldn't load that amount of enemies/scenarios. Actually it could do lot better than It did, but they had to optimize it for the ps2, so the upgrade it recieved was minimal (textures, some lighting, models). That and bad control mapping (i have no idea why they segmented the boost, or forced motion controls) Made this game a more bothering experience than it should
As much as I love Sonic Unleashed on PS3 and Xbox 360 I can't deny how much more satisfying boosting is on the Wii and PS2 versions, limiting the boost makes it so much more fulfilling to use it, it's like, you're playing awesome! here is your reward! rather than, you collected a ring! press X to blast through the level and pummel through enemies completely invulnerable!
Dimps the only thing that I hate so far. They ruin the main title of a few sonic games.
yoyoyoshio267 That’s literally the Wii version too. You could only boost forward and boosting takes a bar and the land you use it in doesn’t really make it anymore useful. Imo the Wii boost was just trash. Still respect your opinion tho.

The boost mechanic was different in the Wii version than all the other modern sonic games but so much more satisfying
This was the first ever game sonic started boosting
Actually, Sonic Rush was the first boost game, but this was the first 3D boost game.
And yeah I prefer this boost waaay more, I love how he does a spindash at the same time aswell, It really gives you a sense of speed

Same. I first had this game for the PS2 since I didn't own a Xbox 360 yet. I loved it, then I finally played the Xbox 360 version and loved it just as much. I decided to buy the Wii version to get a little nostalgic from playing the old version before

I found daytime stages in the Wii version better compared to the Xbox 360 version which I am currently playing for the first time. And I don't mean graphics, but physics and gameplay design. Add a good level design without abusive difficulty spikes and you have a better Sonic Unleashed like the Wii version. It's a shame we didn't get as many daytime stages and some regions were completely eliminated too.
Eh these levels seem much more dumbed down and lack the involvement and timing required in the HD versions. They're basically racetracks with little to no actual platforming or memorable unique setpieces. This is from someone who has played both versions.

I love how the Wii and ps2 versions of the game have better, longer and more immersive 3d level design than the ps3 and Xbox 360
Long hallways with occasional wide turns and a few enemies here or there is totally immersing.
You must kidding this version of the level is boring as hell compared to the hd version. All you do is run down an empty lane and homing attack a few enemies and run down an empty lane again. In the hd version you go much faster, there is more platforming challenges and parts of the level that require quick reflexes, and keeping that speed to beat the level which what makes the hd version of levels really fun. All you do is run forward here. All the Wii/Ps2 day stages and even the night stages suck compare to the hd Ps3/X360 version.

@@mizzix The straight line level design only appears in Forces the other boost games had alternative paths for you to take and you do a lot more in them that keeps you active. Also I rarely see any platforming in the Ps2/Wii version day stages, all I see is most of the levels being, spacious and empty open lanes where all your doing is running look at Act 1 for Apatos for example. In the HD versions your doing a lot more platforming and reactive gameplay that makes it a joy to play through. The Wii and Ps2 version is pretty boring.
SUCCESSFUL JORDAN yeah, the Wii stages are mostly straight hallways, but so are the first few levels of the 360 version (which isn’t even in HD, btw)

I've played and beaten both versions Not gotta lie I have a soft spot for the Wii version. Kinda reminds of sa1 and 2 when I use the gc controller
Also sun and moon medal collecting was much more tolerable in the Wii version imo

I guess, but the Town Stages and Level Up Items in the HD Version give me more Adventure Vibes. And the Sun and Moon Medals normally aren't a pain for me.

I never beated it as a kid because i gave up at 13 olds. I should have kept going though but i certainly Wlil beat it at 19 years old!!!! Cause i hate not finishing games a long time ago I WILL COMPLETE THIS!! And on the Wii. Because i dont have a Ps3 for sonic unleashed. Or a good controller. Because the classic controls and the wii remote. They are bad. I doubt skilled players with 100% reaction time will be able to beat the game on the hardest controls and thats Wii remote. I hate the wii remote but its iconic obviously
