WiiUnleashed is an underrated game that also has its strengths compared to the HD version. We can notice the absence of constraint where you have to collect a certain number of medals to reach a specific level or the Werehog levels which are shorter. Well, this version of the game may seem inferior to the HD version but in my opinion, both versions of Sonic Unleashed have their strengths and weaknesses in that they complement each other. In Sonic Unleashed, you don't have to just press the boost button and go for it blindly. Here, certain sections of the levels require some thought and therefore, sometimes you can be surprised. The concept of the boost has been better balanced than in the HD version. The idea of playing a Sonic game is to finish a level as fast as possible, but it shows that Sonic Games are accessible to everyone, even to those who are not absolute fans or casual players of the franchise.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are definitely the definitive versions of the game. In so many aspects, the Wii version feels like an afterthought. The hub world is a glorified menu screen, Mazuri and Empire City were entirely skipped (besides a boss fight), there are no Tornado Stages, no DLC was made for it... I still like the Wii version of Unleashed but I don't think it was even remotely close to the quality of 360 and PS3

For my part, I played the PS3 version and it's clear that it has nothing to do with the PS2/Wii version. I mean technically you can play unleashed HD (360 and PS3 version) on xbox one and other higher xbox consoles using backwards compatibility but yeah Wii version remake would be nice but I doubt they would remaster the lower quality one, like how they remastered the sonic colors Wii version and not the DS one
Although the switch is weak it is WAY more powerful than a 360 /ps3. It would probably look like the ps3 / Xbox 360 version with some slightly higher res textures and more consistent frame rate. I reckon it could even do 60 fps if optimised correctly
It's actually mind boggling how the texture somehow brighten up the game. Also, why weren't you running as the Werehog? D-Tap the control stick in the direction you want to go.
Man I haven't played this version of Unleashed in such a long time since I'd be playing the HD version the most but Unwiished was my childhood before I were there were two versions of the same game. Never forget I got it as a Christmas gift when it was out at the time

Even though this is the inferior version it definitely gave us the best spindash sound effect. It was also a cool gimmick to automatically spindash when hitting a dash pad while boosting and I wish they would've kept that in later games or made Sonic's boost just a straight up infinite spindash

I love the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, it is my favourite one. 😃😃😃👍👍👍 And also the graphics of it looks really good for a Sonic Unwiished Ultimate and it would look good on a Nintendo Switch system, then again if Sega was making Sonic Unleashed Ultimate I bet they would also add in the Wii Version of Sonic Unleashed Ultimate as a DLC to it.
I don't get why the HD Werehog U.I. doesn't include your time when it's shown at the end of the stage. It's even more questionable on Crimson Carnival where it appears and disappears depending on what form you're in.

I don't see how these graphics are better. Sonic looks bland now, just like the PS2 version. Plus, nothing else but the HUD was even touched. What a mod.
Now all we need is someone to mod the boost so we won’t have to press the Boost Button every 5 seconds, because it’s insufferable. (And perhaps remove/make the missions optional as well probably…?)
i just dont like that all the fantasie world is been gone, and they try to put in a real world kinda background.... i see this recently in almost all games and it destroys all the fantasies... i really prefered more the fantasie worlds from old retro sonic. worlds that you cannot find in reality. why do gameproducer produce games that are similar to reality? games are about fantasie and imagination. im not a friend of realistic looking games and background such as worlds in games. i hope they turn back to be more creative and create more fantasie ... i personally wouldnt buy it. ~ i miss the crativity. where is it gone?

I am in love with this mod! With Unwiished being my 2nd favorite game of all time, I'm glad somebody could give this masterpiece a proper remaster.

They made the Boost system different because it would be too much for the console to handle if it's like HD Version and they had to work around it.
