Rumbling through the Valley • Metro North at Cannondale (Wilton)

With some nice weather finally heading our way, this past Thursday's excursion out to Wilton, CT proved to be the perfect railfan outing. Welcome to the affluent suburb of Wilton/Cannondale where most of the celebrities and CEOs live and commute from with their families. The old station house looks like a scene out of Madmen. Metro North operates here along the Danbury Branch from Grand Central and South Norwalk in both directions. Rush hour trains tend to use the majestic GE P32 diesels while afternoon trains have the Brookville BL20GH which also runs along the Waterbury Branch. I've taken this same train to Danbury multiple times however this is my first time at the station.
