We went from essentially one of those, a single celled organism, to inventing the device on which you’re watching this video right now. Mind blown.

@@xyrene7189 there’s no evidence of it, only unproven theories based on assumptions. no missing links found. so no not sarcastic. Also this video is of an hamster embryo not a single celled organism so the statement doesn’t even make sense to begin with.

@@Conflictus honestly fair. the theory of evolution is often misconstrued as some kind of absolute truth, but in reality is just one of the many theories out there. but i’d like to correct you: there *is* evidence, but i presume you meant actual sound, incorrigible evidence like being transported to the past to see the real thing, haha. i guess it’s up to us whether we wanna believe it or not. :)

Prophase- -chromosomes condense and become visible in the nucleus. Nucleolus disappears and nuclear membrane breaks down. Pair of centrioles move to the pole to the cell. Proteins begin to form spindle fibres which attach to each centromere of each chromosome and the move to centre of the cell
Metaphase- Spindle apparatus is complete. Chromosomes are lined up on the equator(centre)
Anaphase- Centromeres divide into two and spindle fibres shorten which causes the sister chromatids to move to the poles.
Telophase - Sister chromatids are at the poles and spindle apparatus breaks down. Chromosomes uncoil back to their chromatin state. (DNA coiled around proteins called histones) . Nucleolus reappears and nuclear membrane reforms. Mitosis is complete and the cell proceeds into cytokinesis
Cytokinesis - The central cell membrane is pulled inwards by the cytoskeleton which creates
a groove or furrow which gradually deepens. And eventually the membranes fuse to form two identical cells
