See, I think the thing people hate isn't necessarily the characters, but rather the playstyle they encourage, and we can see that in Yasha vs hikari: from how Yasha plays, you can tell he's stuck with the team for a really, really long time and plays the team because he knows them extremely well and knows how to play to their strengths. You see him make specific decisions in response to specific situations in a way that indicates he's being extremely deliberate with his button presses and weighing all of his options. With a player like hikari, though, he just presses a handful of unbalanced buttons (i.e. 6S) that cover a massive chunk of the opponent's buttons and just kinda hoping it works. That's why even though hikari doesn't know how to actually play fighterZ, he still is able to get solid results because he's learned the poorly balanced buttons and is able to abuse them without too much thought and then just learn whatever the highest damaging combo sequence is. The best way I can put this is while Yasha could have performed well in Season 3, hikari couldn't have because no characters carried you as hard as the Yasha team does back in season 3. It's unfortunate that this is no longer the case and we just need to watch this tumor of a community member brag about results he shouldn't be getting, but I suppose we just have to deal until either the fusions get shot or hikari gets bored. With how boring his playstyle is, I'm sure the latter won't take long.
Feels like the guy just uses them because they’re top tier, he’s not doing any smart decisions or things specific for the team, which he can use easily, but he’s mostly throwing stuff to see if it works, not even thinking of how to use his team effectively.
8:17 it's their favorite character because they're top tier. i have a friend whose favorite characters and things in video games are whatever they or someone else determines is top tier, they value winning and success over "playing for fun" and i think a Lot of people are like that, which i don't understand. i'm a vegito player, been a huge vegito fan since the anime, he's always been my favorite fusion.
To be fair, only SOME of the top tiers are my favorite. I remember liking and playing Vegito Blue AND Gogeta Blue before they got super popular and overbuffed. Of course I'm happy they're strong, but I don't like Android 17 on my team, so at least I'm not playing the annoying green shield man lol. Not to mention, I try to limit it to 1 fusion per team I play, since I know how annoying it is to play against them. For example, I like playing - Vegito Blue, SSJ Goku, and Super buddy (he was also my favorite on release btw)
Play whoever tbh. I personally can't complain - I started coincidentally playing with low tiers due of their unique drawbacks, but now it's to the point where now I tend to deliberately choose them and make up for their shortcoming by implementing better fundamentals or using their best strengths. My loss is on me though; I've never blamed the character I chose cos I knew what I was getting into. But the low tiers are just SOOOO much fun! A weird thing that I found out is that I do however, pick high tier characters in platform fighters like Smash Brawl, Smash Ultimate and Brawlhalla. This low tier thing was when I eventually went into DBFZ, Guilty Gear Strive and Xrd.
i think ppl play this team mainly bc top tier and favorite character is just a side effect of fusions being popular. been playing Gogeta Blue/Vegito/Goku Black because it feels good to mix with every interaction. team is just fun to play. it’s fun to mix and it’s fun to KILL
I gotta say. The fusion are my general favorite i Terms of Artsytle and abilities, i played them nerfed aswell. 17 is one of the things that people play because it makes the team "easier".
Like, I get it that the "what if it's their favorite characters?" question is kinda dumb, but what if ONE of them is their favorite and this is probably the best team to play them? Like, kefla is my favorite and trunks is really good with her, so I'm learning trunks. The rest is just gravy
Imo, it’s simply “optimal” I guess. I wouldn’t play woth the team cause I don’t particularly enjoy any of them, but their neutral is pretty dominant especially the fusions and with a literal shield and cannon as backup, Its like vergil dante in any mvc game. Lol I like the baldies!
What sucks is that I love all of these characters and would play this team if 17 was better as an anchor and it wasn’t used so much I’m currently playing Kefla-Janemba-18 though, so I’m gonna keep having fun with that team
I'm a bit sad they un-nerfed and buffed the blue fusions... The meter penalty was a great way to disincentivize people locking both of them. Only absolute madmen like Yasha were able to still make it work. Ya'll think the buffs to other characters lets them keep up with the blue fusions?
I feel its a bit of both in regards to the team question cause vegito is my fav fusion and i like 17 and miraculously they go well together so i use them but the team is good so it is what it is
ALSO I think at 18:45 I'm pretty sure you were fine lmao. I think it was your opponent who clicked the OK, since he probably thought you were gonna do level 1 into 3
I mean, fusions are popular so they could very well be a lot of people's favorites. So when they're also top tier it's kind of unfortunate for the rest of us lol
I personally like that team except I use Adult Gohan anchor so I can have fun doing his level 5 fast fall combos. Hate 17 with a burning passion cuz my friend always kept spamming the rekka and I just pray to get bars for guard cancel/dp to get out of that rekka pressure. Other than that team I main Superbaby2/Gogetablue/AGohan ever since meter nerf and it’s hella fun performing their rejumps/combos
This person is clearly just playing the team cuz it’s top tier lmao, they don’t even seem to know what they’re doing. I also hate the bad rep 17 is getting cuz of this team 😭 I love Android 17 and he’s my fav character, but anyone that plays this team is primarily a fusion player and they only kind of know how to play 17
I am the only one that thinks that baby B is kind of a meh assist rn? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a solid one, but it’s not the “lockdown” assist it used to be, it misses a lot of the time or gets hit now, where a lot of other assists are busted and remains untouched Krillin Rocks are really oppressive and stops whatever you are doing in a lot of angles, and if you get hit the hitstun makes the confirm very easy 17 A still dumb Ginyu B is really strong but at the same time takes a considerable amount of skill so I don’t really care Adult Gohan dp gives you five years to confirm meanwhile teen gohan has ok hitstun? (I’m not saying buff teen gohan please not) my point is, I’d rather play baby C rn than B if my team composition is not running zamasu or something that benefits a lot from B
I think the fusions hate is so forced. People just parroted what their favorite player/streamer said about the fusions until it became the norm to outright hate them. When it was Wawa vs the world the fusions were cool, then Yasha and Fenritti used them and it was slightly less cool but not the worst thing, then all of a sudden when Hikari started using them they became the plague of the earth and braindead characters.
I think people like this team because it’s strong and requires less fundamentals than when meter penalty was a thing. Sometimes we just like teams that feel strong and there’s nothing wrong with that.
I mean I definitely wouldn’t give most players the benefit of the doubt when they run the exact team with 17 but I feel like their reign as top tiers made people forget that the blue fusions are plainly really cool characters. It’s completely different from a character like ssj goku where you can confidently say that this is almost *nobodys* favorite character.
dude i love ssj goku his combos are so saucy and the original ssj look just goes hard. But yeah its sad that all people hate the fusions so much i think gogeta blue is actually an interesting char (vegito not so much) that just gets mad hate because he is on this team
That Android 17 barrier back up. XD
All im saying is that every team is good, it’s okay to play whoever you want. Just find what you enjoy most
8:17 it's their favorite character because they're top tier. i have a friend whose favorite characters and things in video games are whatever they or someone else determines is top tier, they value winning and success over "playing for fun" and i think a Lot of people are like that, which i don't understand. i'm a vegito player, been a huge vegito fan since the anime, he's always been my favorite fusion.

8:18 probably top tier
I am part of the collective groaning 🤗
Man, I miss casual fighterz online. Maybe its time to take a break from Magsentistormcablelocke vs Capcommando 2.
Definitely true about reacting to super dash. Played yesterday after taking a month off. Felt like I was swinging at afterimages
Play whoever tbh. I’ve been watching horror movies since 10/1 and this is the spookiest thing I’ve seen since 😂
With a game that has so much character variety it does suck to see so much of the same 3 characters
i think ppl play this team mainly bc top tier and favorite character is just a side effect of fusions being popular. been playing Gogeta Blue/Vegito/Goku Black because it feels good to mix with every interaction. team is just fun to play. it’s fun to mix and it’s fun to KILL

Love seeing some good content good work 🔥

9:17 defense lmfao (and ur just casually talking about some other shi xd)
Imo, it’s simply “optimal” I guess. I wouldn’t play woth the team cause I don’t particularly enjoy any of them, but their neutral is pretty dominant especially the fusions and with a literal shield and cannon as backup, Its like vergil dante in any mvc game. Lol I like the baldies!

That's how broken Blusions are nowadays, they put the server into maintenance to stop you from using flight mode.
I mean, fusions are popular so they could very well be a lot of people's favorites. So when they're also top tier it's kind of unfortunate for the rest of us lol

The sudden *ATTENTION* lmao
I am really hoping for the day Aco beacomes famous, so we can have Ginyu EVO Finals and everyone tries to copy it
Gogeta blue is fine, now can even be played on other teams than yasha’s
But the other two are not normals, both in the top 3 of the patch lmao
I like gogeta and vegito separately. Together tho, ive seen enough of it in tournament
Gogeta is one of the most toxic characters in the game.
I wish there was a game where the fusions weren't good, really wanna know how many really love Vegito and Gogeta when they cant carry lmao
when the meter penalty was in effect they pretty much disappeared from the match maker, now they're back lol
only thing i play is 17 and blue gogeta but on different teams
This person is clearly just playing the team cuz it’s top tier lmao, they don’t even seem to know what they’re doing.
I also hate the bad rep 17 is getting cuz of this team 😭 I love Android 17 and he’s my fav character, but anyone that plays this team is primarily a fusion player and they only kind of know how to play 17
8:22 just for the top tier.
Thats hirokis fave team
It might be just me but I haven't met someone whose favorite chatacter is 17.
When I see this team I suspect there a skin walker
I am the only one that thinks that baby B is kind of a meh assist rn?

Fourth comment
