I really like the idea to fix the vanishing wars that Lotus suggested. After 3 vanishes it gets faster so it gets more difficult to pull off. That way you don't have to sit there for a minute waiting and we get hype plays when players go over 5-6-7 vanishes.
I kinda like how Raging Blast 2 did it. The up and down charged smashes were always different in timing, so you could vary up your timing ever so slightly. I think what Lotus proposed is pretty good to prevent ki from deciding it all.
This is not a good fix. Where the “cliff” is for the speed up is whoever will lose 99% of the time. Meaning if it is after the 3rd vanish then whoever is on defense, meaning the player who vanishes first, will always win. Player 1 = gets rushed and vanishes Player 2 = vanishes the vanish (2nd vanish) Player 1 = vanishes again (3rd vanish) Player 2 = loses 4th vanish because timing suddenly changes. This works until the timing is figured out. If the timing change is consistent and works the same way every single time, then eventually we end up right back where we started.

Making the vanishes harder as they go is a good idea. Something I thought about was how Dissidia on psp handles the chase follow-ups, where each player gets 3 chances of landing an attack and after that it just resets to neutral. In a dbz case it could be one of those big clashes where they just flip backwards after it or something.

8:52 those speed lines indicate when an attack is Unblockable and Untechable. Smash attacks while in sparking have the same affect and can only be Vanished. Normal grabs can also be teched out of even if you are in hit stun

First off, great video and I’m loving the content you are putting out. I watched one of your recent videos and you mentioned having preset teams to create and choose from before a match. I was hoping they would have already had something like that when the game launched, but I would love to see that in the near future.
You always use vanish follow-ups like many others. Those are easy to vanish by the opponent. You can also dragon dash chase them and that is way harder to time the vanish. You can also mix that Dragon dash chase up by pressing the ki blast button while dragon dashing towards them
The sketch lines on grabs do mean they are command throws and cannot be broken. So you do have to side step or use vanishing assault to get away from them.
3 suggestions for the vanish war 1.The attack can charge choosing between 2 attack speeds essentially (ability to delay) 2. The speed increases each hit as you said 3. The attack can choose not to attack and dash out but there a small window where you can burn more ki to chase down said attacker 4. Include all 3 It’s definitely boring to watch I skip through most of them because everyone seems to have the timing down. As far as super counter I like it but idk y think it should break everything especially mid combo(in gaps it’s acceptable) that’s my opinion atleast.
Few tips.Loving the videos but to clear a few things. Too let you know a few things after watching your vids The zoom in for the grabs, means it's a command grab. So you can't tech it. Which is also why it's slower Tag in right on your opponent is based if your opponent is in hit state So knocked away, stunned, down, and etc. you will switch and teleport right to them. If your opponent is in a knockaway, switching will make you appear at your opponent and and do a vanish attack. And super perception cost one skill bar. This is also a good way to force an enemy to use a skill bar, take guard damage, or straight up damage. If they don't have a bar, they can't super perception
For the vanish battles/super counter: I think the super counter is fine as a mechanic, but it's just too easy to pull off. Make that shit a just frame type of thing, so it's actually cool and hype when it gets pulled off(and I agree about revenge counters being able to work both in front and behind). As for vanish battles, the speed up thing is a sick idea, but it would also be cool if you could empty vanish to mix up and do other things besides the vanish strike. I laugh in the face of viewer retention, I saw those losses
I think one thing they should tweak is how the skill gauge fills. I think it shouldn’t go up with each hit,maybe leaving it with gaining 1 whenever you lose a bar but i think it should just go up over time
I would say by balancing Super Counter after 4 counters it's starts to speed up and harder to time the counter at that point less Ki would be used as well

On BT3 after the last vanish in an equal vanish war even if you ran out of ki instead of it being an automatic punish after the last vanish it would automatically vanish you with space a few feet away and reset the neutral that’s also something to could implement to fix the boring/toxicity to vanish wars also people just hold perception same thing make that cost a bar or something a skill bar or blast stock or ki something so folks can’t just sit there holding perception the whole time even if you’re across the map that’ll force use of other mechanics etc but that’s my take🤝

The anti super counter sentiment is confusing, the difficulty to hit warrants the "strong" reward. It also doesn't appear to be that commonly hit during tournament I've seen. Me personally I'm okay with the vanish war but I can see where people's complaints are coming from. However the solutions i've suggested have been I think overly complicated, and a simple back hit or allowing step in or out after a vanish with a similar window to vanish will solve it. allows for more of a guessing game as you can be punished.

My idea for the vanish wars would be that the timing not only gets SIGNIFICANTLY faster but after 3 vanishes there is a quick time event or clash mechanic. Like a vanish clash instead of a war. Like in the broly movie when paragus is talking to Frieza. Vegeta and broly are blink clashing across the screen with circles everywhere. And whoever wins gets a bit of added health and the loser gets nothing
like the idea but not the health bit, timer stalling and regenning characters already annoying rn lol. maybe just get ki back or a buff. not a damage buff though, maybe a movement speed or defense buff for a bit.
The vanishes easily have to be the worst thing about this game, 70% of the combat is pressing r1 or whatever button you use to vanish. I think it getting faster which each one is a great idea for players to stay away from using it as much and more exciting to watch.
As much as I like DBFZ the pursuit to make the characters different makes some characters like DBS Broly not exactly how I’d think. But this game does a good job of giving them pretty cool looking swinging animations. Same with Z Broly who historically sucked. Even in BT3. Maybe especially the game lmao!

I think if we want to remove super counters there has to be a way to defend against back hits, that's why i think it's a necessity to have it
A decent fix imo for the vanish battles is to just give all characters the same sidestep/dodge mechanic that base trunks and tapion have.
Majority of players don’t even do the other follow-ups that are harder to vanish and super counter like the homing dash and z dash folllow ups
