14 years ago a friend of mine made me listen to katatonia..we are no longer friends anymore but I gained an obsession for this band that will never die.
One of the only "live" songs where I hear a good voice (and not a tired one or excessively edited by studio) like album's one. Awesome singer, awesome band!
@Jballs218 I was at that concert. Your band played a spectacular set. It was great to see you playing alongside this amazing band. I'll admit that I originally went mostly for Swallow The Sun and Orphaned Land, but Katatonia stood out the most in my eyes.
Great Cold Distance ... one of my all time favourite albums.. every song is brilliant !! ... somehow I've always felt this song too would blend perfectly into it... and maybe tonight's music too :D
he sings amazing live, he killed it in toronto on friday. you guys dont realize that the tuning is usually different for the songs live then on the album so he has to adjust for that. soils song is in drop c on the album and live theyre in drop A# which makes a difference. plus you stand infront of a huge crowd of people and be perfect.

i really like this song on live, isnt the better song of katatonia but song sound like the way they do, and they show on live that they have a lot experence and more to give us
@Koulnis My band, Dusks Embrace actually got to play with Katatonia in September. It's a shame though, i'm just now starting to get into them. I hadn't even heard of them until I found out we were playing with them. They were still really good though!

He sang the wrong note in the chorus. Its supposed to be a 9th suspended over the harmony. Its what gives that chorus such power and tension - and he flips up to the minor 3rd!! Don't have to be a music geek to tell something isn't right in that chorus. Sad
Nice but the main rhythm guitar is a bit too low..or is the lead line too loud? yea..too loud, the best live performance of Katatonias' I've seen yet. GREAT BAND!!!

I love that they chose to detune their guitars to B Flat, it adds so much depth to their already doom laden sound.
