common sense where i come from. Sad it need to be mentioned, but good that it did. Too many inconsiderate nature detached jerks leave their cities a couple of times per year in order to ruin our nature. Then they go home and brag at the marketing meeting between aluminium cup coffeemakers and vegan 3 day beard manikured product manager about how they spend so much time in nature. Those of us, who live 24/7 in the bush - like myself, have then to collect their trash from OUR neighbourhood. greetings from the artic forests of finland.
I find the Pajero to be a very overlooked vehicle. I am happy with my NP diesel and still own a NA which is still chugging along with over 400, 000 on the clock.
I love the NP Pajero, the best looking and awesome design ever!! Bought a 2018 exceed but still had my 2004 NP and couldnt get rid of it so I sold the new 2018!
absolutely love the locking mechanism on the rear bar!! love the garbage bag answer!! I'm not normally fond of Pajero's, but i really like how this has been built up.
Well said! Always bring the garbage bags! Always have a few in my car and always picking up other people rubbish when I hit the track and trying to do the right thing! There are the small percentage that ruin it for the majority of us.
The Pajero is very under-rated as a serious go-anywhere 4WD; but having owned quite a few Toyota 4WD wagons, we now own a Pajero series IV/V98, and it constantly surprises us with its ability to get the job done. My parents series III/V98 is now 14 years old, and it has proven to be TOTALLY reliable, so we knew what to expect. We have found the Pajero to be very sure-footed and predictable to drive. Our Pajero is very comfortable, and for such a great highway tourer, she is incredibly capable off-road. The standard Super Select II and excellent traction control on the later series III and all series IV Pajeros (NP, NS, NT, NW and current NX), allows Pajero to go where even a 100 series Toyota 'Cruiser would be having serious trouble moving, particularly in low-traction conditions - the Pajero finds grip and keeps on going.
@@petersajkic6749 sorry I'm late to the party...but how's it a blasphemy to compare them when Pajeros have proven their off-road capabilities in rallies such as Rally dakar the hardest race in the world..
Good setup mate. I like the rear bar with the jerry can holders. My Pajero is rocking the Rhino Platforms and when not towing the van, we use Jerry Can holders on top of the roof where it is exposed etc. Great point about garbage bags.
Mate, love that rear bar. Awesome piece of work, especially for a self job. Love the electronic locking on it, the integrated winch and how it meets the wheel arches. Top job!
Just watched, great video. Just bought a 2000 Paj DiD LWB 5spd LHD a few months ago. 395K on the clock...had to do the injector pump and injectors. These are tuff rigs!
Great choice for a Modified Video, a lot of people wish to step down from a big Landcruiser or Patrol and wonder what kind of off road cred the Pajero has. No doubt they probably are a much nicer vehicle to live with on the road for the rest of the time :)
Hey Ronny, I'm 18 and I recently brought my first 4x4 its a 2008 Toyota Hilux dual cab can't wait to modify it and get out on the tracks and trails hopefully my first trip will be to my old home town of Esperance.
What a sweet rig, that rear bumper is genius. I also like the fact he has 2 batteries under the hood. I'm thinking about getting one also. Too bad they didn't import those to the states. Cool vid.
What I love about the Pajero is that, when naming the vehilcle, Mitsubishi clearly didn't do very comprehensive research to see what "Pajero" might mean in other languages - particularly Spanish-speaking parts of the world))
It Great to see modifications you have done on your Montero car. I too have a Montero car of 2007 model need to interact with you. Regards, oli from INDIA
I love your NP, looks sexy. I have same in Canada just 3.8 V6 gas. was looking for ideas to make bumpers etc. I definitely found few for sure. Well done mate
11:15 I know this a fairly old post but would anyone have any information on the fold up bed in the back of the Pajero? This looks like exactly what I am after.
Because they are a better offroad rig? Much simpler, very strong, you can run 33s with zero modifications, suspension front seats. They are dirt cheap and reliable. There are quite a few bolt in engine and transmissions options to choose from if you are building one up as well. There are two families of petrol engines in 4 cylinder turbo and na, the mitsu v6 lineup, and the 2 4 cylinder diesel engine families.
airbats801 fair enough. ..not sure where you live but not a lot of gen 1's around. late 1980's would be gen 2.more comfortable than same year patrol or landcruiser but did have a problematic engine.ok for basic offloading

Great video and truck. Whats involved in the turbo upgrade, my generation 4s turbo is on its way out, and I am really keen on bigger turbo if its possible. Any help on this will be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
Hi Rudy I am quite intrigued in your carriers on your rear bar. What did you do in regards to mounting the bull bar onto the uni body frame in order to handle that additional weight without breaking out of the mount point?
when he said rubbish bags, i yelled wahoo! what a legend, i do the same, treat the place right and it will stay open
That was legendary indeed!!!

That rear bar is fantastic. He should be involved in product development.

S P notarobot maybe a new pajero vs 100 series.but to compare in general a pajero offroad to a landcruiser is just blasphemy
He is right about the traction control, best out there especially on the NT (2009) and up.

Allways injoy your video ,thanks
I really wish we had more diesel passenger vehicles in the us besides trucks diesel suvs would be really nice
Yet we in Australia are amazed at the price of Diesel fuel, considering it is by-product of making petrol (gasoline)
Hugh Jazz roughly double the petrol to diesel is produced in the refinement process so it should be more expensive if demand was equal
Coz F diesel was actually cheaper here in the US just not to long ago surprisingly
Coz F diesel was actually cheaper here in the US just not to long ago surprisingly
Or conversely, Petrol should be twice as cheap :)
posi terminal on 2nd battery looked perilously close to the bonnet lid! not much wiggle room/no insulation.
Top mount better throttle response more heat soak less power, fmic less throttle response more cold air more power ..
Great machine. Congratulations!
