you didn't mention that rear seats can be slided back for more leg room.

m getting vw vento 2013 petrol highline model in 6.5 lakhs...demo car...with odo reading of jus 5 k...car is in best shape, no dents and scratches...i had also taken the test drive and engine n gear box is super smooth...
shld i go wth ths or deny...i was earlier looking for used car and my budget was about 4.5 to 5 lakhs..
pls suggest...m bit confused
low ground clearance of 149mm is a big drawback!

VW is trying to get in the league of bmw, audi, merc, volvo but is failing miserably. By quoting a price tag of those like other German rival and not offering the luxury will not help. VW is a premium economy brand and they better stick to that! On the other hand they should work on their premium luxury brand Audi which is falling back compare to the competitors like bmw merc and volvo.
vw India are nuts to downgrade the car in terms in power and other stuffs needed in the segment and pricing it highly ... with that price an avg indian consumer would go for brand image like CLA,X1 or Q3 or sometimes fortuner or endeavour .... Didn't they learned that with Passat spoiling its very reputation

Tiguan will be assembled at Aurangabad plant (like the Jetta used to) and not at the Chakan plant. :)
People would rather get the Q3 instead of Tiguan. VW and other brands should realise the fact that they are not luxury car makers
india is highly conservative market. vw made a smart move to bring indianized version for ameo but designed it ugly. polo vento Jetta is value for money but Tiguan or toureg will not be the first choice for many. so this is it not a common man's car. people willing to buy entry level premium suv can think of this as the maintainence would be less comparitively. Fortuner and endeavor is not a competition as long as I heard.

What a shame Volkswagen, 38 lacs for a car that is not 7 seater and only 140 ps? It's time for Volkswagen to follow GM. With the sales struggling just above 1% Market share. Such products are only going to ensure you die on market share. Except for a big sun roof there isn't anything special about this Tiguan. Hyundai Tucson is 180 ps and doesn't have a big sunroof and it's still struggling. I would rather buy a Ford Endeavour or a Fortuner.

Tiguan, endevour or fortuner..none of them are worth 37lacs OTR...way too Overpriced. definitely not worth more then 20-22 lacs OTR. despite being assembled on our soil, all these cars are so expensive. i see no point in giving them subsidies for setting up factories if the end result is so expensive nd dis goes for almost all the car. manufacturers.

Rohan Sawant its not abt buying cheapet cars.. as a matter of fact maruti is pioneer in selling poor quality product for higher price example recently launched dzire at Rs11 lacs otr..jst want to point out dat almost all d car makers r robbing indians in the name of locally assembled nd made in india.

This car is stupid and worth no more than 25 lakhs. What were Volkswagen smoking while pricing this. Anyone buying this would be making a horrible financial decision .
