Well for what it’s worth I use them in live and studio performance. A montage 7 vs my own junior version. There’s not a discernible enough difference to matter at all. For the PP and role I use it for (non-primary) the money saved is best invested elsewhere. Weight is a key consideration on a satellite.
For me as a gigging musician the weight factor is much more important than elusive sound difference which anyway will be lost in most of live sound setups.
I agree, with a band the audience will never hear the difference between these two. If you play just for personal enjoyment and/or recording, you want the best sound possible, regardless of price.
At the time of my post, I'm about 5:30 into the video. I cannot tell that much difference between the two to spend the huge gap in cost for the Montage. I had a Motif ES7 prior to my house fire earlier this year and my entire studio was destroyed. So I've been replacing gear over the last few months and one thing in particular I was looking at was getting a Montage since the Motif was no longer available. But honestly after viewing this video, I think I'm going with a MODX-7. Now I would prefer balanced outs but it's not the crucial for me. As usual, thanks for a REAL LIFE look at these keyboards. You were THOROUGH enough for me!!!
Good job on the comparison bro...I feel they are close enough to each other. I’m definitely getting a MODX6...and I’ll run it through some analog outboard to get some extra drive / depth that the PAC might be adding to the Montage. Overall I think the MODX sounds great and almost the same as the Montage. Sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart. Keep up the good work!
I totally agree, with the difference in price you can even get a dedicated outboard unit, as long as someone is ok with the keyed I think they will be fine. I prefer the feel of the keyboard on the Montage personally but it is hard to front on what you get in the MODX package.
i have same idea, to get a MODX and just use a great saturation plugin that can even saturate the sounds richer than in Montage, i think it's the idea :)
Yeah it will definitely work. Anything with a quality drive / amp stage will add something positive to the final output of the MODX! Outboard gear with transformers and tubes will sound great no doubt.
I decided on my MODX8 over the Montage, because they sound the same, cost much less and weighs much less. I am mostly going to use it for piano sounds and along with it, my Roland VR-09 Combo organ.
Well, as with most lower-end synth models they offer the most of the character of the flagship and at stage volume 'who cares'. As long as it resembles its bigger brother it won't drive you crazy and there's so many instruments happening in a full band situation most people just won't care about the difference.
I frequency analyzed your performance with high end Sony headphones and a meter and the difference is so miniscule there really is no difference that the ear can decipher. Maybe the slight difference is that the Montage has after-touch were as the MODX has standard touch when physically hammering the keys. The performance sound play is internal and identical. Fuji apple or mcintosh apple? Thanks great demo!
Thanks for this. Check out the CK series. I have a CK-61 and a Modx6 plus here, the CK samples sound much cleaner, and clearer. The ModX sounds muddy, and bassy by comparison. The ModX has more effects on the stock piano sounds.
I waited and searched for a used Montage 6. I just missed the sale of one 😩 then I lucked out and won the sale of a used Montage 7! Such a great deal vs a new Modx8
The difference I hear is in the "ambiance" or sound fx (like reverb). The Montage sounds a bit cleaner and more realistic. I almost want to say that (strictly in comparison) the MODX has some digital artifacting present. This seems to be most noticeable as the sound decays / at the tail length of the sound. As others have mentioned this may be due to the quality of DA converters, or some other DSP signal processing component(s).
I think in the studio, recording audio clips, the difference is negligible, but if you are playing on stage or you play very complex recordings live you may want the Montage. Other than that, polyphony would only become an issue if a person tried to midi up 8 channels and play them all back at the same time. I'd just record audio clips into a DAW. And I don't really play the keys, I would just be sending midi into the board like a sound module. (side note: check the master EQ on both boards)
Yeah I hear ya, I've used both in the studio simply recording audio and both get the job done. I do like actually playing on the Montage more, and in isolation you can hear a slight difference on some sounds, but in the mix with other sounds and audio it's not a huge deal at all. I haven't even come close to hitting the polyphony limit, I don't play that many notes at once, I guess if I was sequencing it or had a super stacked sound it could be possible but for the most users the engines are the same.
Thank you . There are not many videos about how to get Cubase to play the montage from the piano roll .I listened through presonus studio monitors .Could hear some subtle difference .
Montage sounds are more real than MODX. The aftertouch is too good on the Montage as well of the guitar sounds. Now if you travel a lot, its better the MODX because of the weight. I have the Montage 7 for home and I'm planning on getting a MODX6 for church.
Montage is clearly a higher fidelity output (as expected at twice as much!). Putting aside the lesser quality keybed of the MODX6/7/8, it'll be simply the DAC's soldered in as mentioned by Yamaha - like with all the pro features of the Montage ... you get what you pay for, right? I've got the MODX6 but use my GEM S3 Turbo 76-key as master (has Poly AT which the MODX range responds too, though not S3's release velocity :/ ). So effectively, I've bought an expensive 'desktop' synth/controller!! :)

Great comparison! Just a few thoughts regarding the missing velocity layer. Is it possible that you are just (involuntarily) putting more weight into your strokes on the Montage, because for the MODX you have to reach up? Are the velocity curves set to the same value (normal, soft, ...) on both units? Over the years, I often had problems reaching velocity values over 100 with Yamaha keyboards, when triggering external gear.
Thanks for watching. The keybeds are different and respond differently, I'm not playing any differently on them. The response can be adjusted or it can be played from a different keyboard but that does add to the difference in response overall.
I'm switching from Modx6 to Montage 7 because its very hard to play things, especially pianos and Electric Pianos, with any kind of dynamic control on the MODX 6/7 keybeds. Even after changing the velocity settings. If you're more of a synth player it probably won't bother you so much but if the pianos and EPs are important it's more of a serious consideration and I'd say go with a MODX8 or Montage.
@@collinpople1076 Bought a MODX8. Playing piano on it is decent. Had also a Motif XF6 and a MOXF6. The Motif keybed was very good, even piano parts were doable.
They do sound different now that you point it out. It's like the sample layers are less on the modx . Maybe it was done purposely to set them apart. Maybe it's inferior ssd / ram in the modx . Some people complain the modx cuts out during demo playback.
Yeah there's a slight difference. I think it's a combination of the PAC and keybed. However, I haven't had any issue with drop outs when using the demo/audition feature.
Thank you for this. I have the dilemma that they do have different costs but ultimately, they don't break too quickly so it makes sense for me to save up for the cost difference and get the Montage as it will he further enhanced by my hardware and after touch is a great added tool for creative and natural play. It is all inspirational so I will enjoy playing and creating. The Montage 6 vs modx8 for me so.. montage it is....
Definitely close enough for most. I can hear slight differences in person, only with certain sounds, nothing huge if you're just looking for that sound engine. I prefer the actual build of the Montage personally, but I wouldn't be mad if I had the MODX, it's great!
Awesome comparison. After watching this I’m definitely keeping my equipment (listed below) and not buying either of these Kawai MP10 Yamaha DX7S Yamaha MX61 Roland MKS-20 Korg 01RW Korg N1
Yep, but the hardware is different. Different keyboards, output circuitry. There's also differences with fx, polyphony, etc. People are very interested to see if those differences are easily noticeable between the two in terms of sound, in relation to the price difference between them. MODX is a winner for a lot of people.
think it is not a matter of "which sounds better" but which one do you like more, there is not better, but something you like more... both sound perfect :)
Yeah, I'm wondering how much the keyboard dynamics play a part. I noticed a slight difference when I first played it, and once I put them side by side you can hear it for sure. I don't know if it is all down to the keybed though some articulations seem to be missing when playing the MODX keybed vs the Montage.
Sorry but I see that you stopped the Audition not the same time, so when you test the sound, the position of the Super Knob are not the same, so that the sound of course different. But the video is very good, thanks anyway!
The montage gives more clarity and cleanest. Which is 3000$ but not a huge difference in sound, I hear it though. I would by the cheaper cause it's less than half the price and close to the montage sound.
Same engine, different output stages (converters and circuit topology, components, power supply for output stage) - just like 2 different soundcards or mic preamps (the cheaper is less 3D and less deep, less warm). I suspect the Montage upsamples (SRC) the audio data before output (and therefore accepts rates up to 192kHz while the MODX does not). Could be the FM engine works internally at a higher sampling rate then the outputs of the MODX supports and is not correctly filtered before the output stage (as you can hear aliasing in some other comparison video Montage vs MODX at min 1.30 - FM high register).
Definitely a difference. I have the modx6 and hated it after feeling the keys. Did not sound like the modx8 which I played at the store. Has to be something with the keybed because after playing the modx6 through my kawai mp7 via midi it sounded like I wanted to hear it. The heavy keys help and I imagine the keybed on the montage is much better.

They sound different. If the samples are exactly the same, then the difference must be due to higher quality analog stage in the Montage. In my experience, higher quality DACs usually bring out more of the ambience and this is what I am hearing in your video. Cheers!
Hi guyz, I do play Indian classicals with more usage of modulation joystick. I am aware that I can use external joystick as midi... Can I use external joystick for inbuilt sounds ???
Have you played them both? I'm not the only one that can hear the difference. LOL. Rather it's significant enough to warrant the price difference, that's another story.
I MEAN, IF THE MONTAGE IN SET OF 96, 192 KHZ AND YOU PLAY COMPLEX TONES WITH VARIOUS FILTERS YOU WILL HEAR A DIFFERENT SOUND QUALITY WITH THE MODX. I KNOW THE MODX JUST HAVE 44 KHZ
MODX6 , Kurzweil PCK6, MOXF6, or NORD Electro D6 ??? Need to pull the trigger today , and have no chance to get my hands on none of them , please help me decide , anybody ???
I'd say all are very different, I've used both the Moxf and Modx personally, both have great sounds, modx has the newer sound engine, Moxf is a full workstation with a full sequencer. Kurzweil is always nice and it's actually a full workstation as well. Nord is super dope but limited to specific types of sounds, however, those sounds are great. That's really a touch decision mostly based on what exactly you're looking for.
Leaning heavy on buying a used modx.. Tired of the latency problems in my Ableton rig when using synth plugins.. Modx seems the the most realistic sounds ive heard in the newest workstation..(again I would just be using it as a sound module). What's ur thoughts on the acoustic audio packs? I'm hopingbwithese packs I can add more realistic Rhodes/ep sounds etc.. Curious in ur take
@@SoundsAndGear Classical instruments of course will be there forever,,I am talking digital ones. Plugins are really getting insane in their capabilities.

(Not surprised) You should have done a comparison of the Modx8 vs Roland Fantom. But doing two keyboards that are exactly the same was a waste of time my brother. The ONLY difference between the Modx8 and the Montage is the size. THAT'S IT!!😊
People were interested in exactly this comparison, because of the price difference, keybed difference, outputs, etc. Size is not the only difference between them lol. The MODX8 isn't even in this video...but thanks for watching. You're free to make whatever comparison videos you wish, as am I. Peace
They are not exactly the same. Same engine and samples yes but the ad/da conversion on the montage is wayyy better than the modx and also using balanced outputs on the montage where the modx does not. Sample rates are also different with the montage having a much higher sample rate. This may or may not matter to you and although the differences may seem neglegible to most, to some people it does matter because even though the differences are small those differences add up in the context of building a whole track. This is also why most people also won't hear a big difference between a $250 dollar audio interface and a $900 dollar interface like an apollo but there is a difference and those differences start to stack up in the context of building a whole track. Once you have that extra ooomff it's very difficult to go back to lesser quality gear.
guys, for all who look for the difference between this synth's..got it from Yamaha's "MONTAGE features professional balanced outputs with "Pure Analog Circuit" (PAC). PAC improves the quality of signal after being converted to analog from digital for clear harmonic reproduction and even frequency response. The result is an output capable of reproducing MONTAGE's internal content expressively with power and clarity." so it means pretty much i think to louder the price...reason = max quality of the sound. So if you important in it, then Montage your way, if no or havnt a possibility to get Montage, go for MODX and use some saturation fx's from a top software to get a same or maybe more rich harmonics.
also some more from their forum: "Yamaha's PAC is more accurate: It doesn't turn down the treble or use a graphic equalizer. The slight jaggedness of the initial conversion (from digital stream to analog waveform) is massaged by their output stage to interpolate any unwanted/unintentional micro splinters of the wave to a smooth wave surface, without simply filtering out signals higher than, say, 5 kHz. So you still retain high frequencies, but without unintended harshness."
Yeah, however, the sound isn't the only difference. Build quality, controls, polyphony, audio options, etc. But they always do this, a more portable "budge" version of the flagship. It's cool there are options, this didn't use to be the case. It used to be you either got a Motif, or not. Then the started the scaled back versions for different budgets and gigging. I think it's a good option for the right person.
Thanks for the vid brother! The montage has more presence. Sounds more pronounced and upfront. As a standalone instrument with vocals the montage will hit the spot. Though in a mix with other instruments you wouldn't notice the difference between the two. The montage would probably cut through the mix a bit better but other than that... both sound fantastic!
They sound too identical that you can barely tell a difference if there is any. Montage on a couple presents sound like it has a bit more reverb or is ssssslightly richer in sound. But if you have those sounds going in a mix your not going to tell the difference. With the Price, you can't go wrong with the MODX.
I feel and kinda hear a very slight difference in Audio between the both. I believe the Montage sounds slightly better because it has more polyphony compare to the MODX!
There's definitely a slight difference, it is more noticeable in some patches than others. I don't know that it specifically has to do with polyphony though as you can see I am not someone that plays a bunch of notes at once hahahaha. It's just a matter of is the slight difference enough for someone to pick the Montage over the MODX?
@@SoundsAndGear The MODX doesn't have aftertouch. Also Montage uses 24 bit samples. MODX uses 16 bit 44khz samples. Possibly those things could affect the sound slightly.
I have used cheap apple headphones to listen to this video. But even so I can tell the difference. I like very much my MODX6 and it sounds great for me. I only have been noticed that is almost imposible to reach velocity from 125 to 127. I figured it out by programming a piano library for MONTAGE / MODX. This little velocity issue it makes MODX sound weaker than the MONTAGE in this video, IMHO. Because it seems that at high velocity is where pianos and some synths open up a lot, and have greater depth and strength.
My vocal dropped out in a few places in this video so I re-uploaded the video. Watch it here with no dropouts: ua-cam.com/video/zmVLnnPaPko/v-deo.html

@@SoundsAndGear Thank you, that is very helpful.
I’m drooling over le Montage. I’m into digital synths
Cool, thanks for watching!
I hear ya! Wonderful instrument indeed!
Montage in this mix is louder. Because of this it's little bit not correct compatible. But anyway sound of montage is richer.
I already addressed this, it's not just volume, but thanks for watching!
They obviously sound different but I dont know if its because of settings...
thanks for watching
If there was a montage label was over the top keyboard they would sound identical. Take the sticker off they would sound different
Definitely close enough for most. I can hear slight differences in person, only with certain sounds, nothing huge if you're just looking for that sound engine. I prefer the actual build of the Montage personally, but I wouldn't be mad if I had the MODX, it's great!
Awesome comparison. After watching this I’m definitely keeping my equipment (listed below) and not buying either of these
Kawai MP10
Yamaha DX7S
Yamaha MX61
Roland MKS-20
Korg 01RW
Korg N1
Cool! Thanks for watching.
I can hear the flagship Montage is best. But it’s minimal how much better it is towards the MODX.
I agree, for most it will not be an issue at all.
he Montage and the MODX have same exact sound engine in them.
Yep, but the hardware is different. Different keyboards, output circuitry. There's also differences with fx, polyphony, etc. People are very interested to see if those differences are easily noticeable between the two in terms of sound, in relation to the price difference between them. MODX is a winner for a lot of people.
У Montage просто есть "Чувствительность к Дожатию", вот и динамика клавиш чувствуется больше. Вот теперь интересно сравнить клавиши у P515 и Montage
Thanks for watching
think it is not a matter of "which sounds better" but which one do you like more, there is not better, but something you like more... both sound perfect :)
yep
I think becouse the modx does not have after touch and that might b making the little difference , id probably get the modx for the price difference
Thanks for watching.
Yo SoundsAndGear I've been watching your Vida for a while they do help me choose my equipment also the comments help me too. Thank you
Thanks for your support fam, I appreciate you!
The montage gives more clarity and cleanest. Which is 3000$ but not a huge difference in sound, I hear it though. I would by the cheaper cause it's less than half the price and close to the montage sound.
I hear ya! That's why I did these videos, for many the MODX is just fine!
Thanks for watching!
To my ears, I like the MODX.
It sounds warmer.
Cool
Definitely a difference. I have the modx6 and hated it after feeling the keys. Did not sound like the modx8 which I played at the store. Has to be something with the keybed because after playing the modx6 through my kawai mp7 via midi it sounded like I wanted to hear it. The heavy keys help and I imagine the keybed on the montage is much better.
Yeah, I wonder how it sounds via MIDI and if some of those dynamics show up better. Thanks for watching!
Well you know that kurzweil keyboards🎹 has one of the best velocity / sensitive touchpad to ever hit the market and with the (Roland RD ) and (Motif ES )Series w/Velocity/AfterTouch / and USB ....made it more of a competition ....!!!!! I have to say this is a Great gigging keyboard for the price 💰 for any traveling “Act” or “Musician “would appreciate the sounds of the retrograde “DX7 “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😌😌😌😌FM engines of the MODX ...............With all of our 3-rd Party VST native instruments logic pro tools able 10 live studio one and ominsphere New 2.5 ( upgrade ) 😩😩😩😩😋😋😋😋
Motif Es, Motif Xs, Motif Xf, Modx ou Montage ?🤔
Thanks for watching
They sound different. If the samples are exactly the same, then the difference must be due to higher quality analog stage in the Montage. In my experience, higher quality DACs usually bring out more of the ambience and this is what I am hearing in your video. Cheers!
Thanks for watching!
My ears no hear different and due the price the best option is modx.
Thanks for watching
I wish it was a blind test
cool
No piano engine on both (no string resonance)
ok
Sound identical listening on my iPad.
Cool, thanks for watching.
Hi guyz, I do play Indian classicals with more usage of modulation joystick. I am aware that I can use external joystick as midi... Can I use external joystick for inbuilt sounds ???
Check with Roland
Both have exactly the same Sound Engine...where do you hear a difference😂😂😂
Have you played them both? I'm not the only one that can hear the difference. LOL. Rather it's significant enough to warrant the price difference, that's another story.
Both great but there is a reason why Montage is double of the price.
Thanks for watching. What do you think the reason for double the price is?
Do u need a lap top for these keys or just monitor speakers
You just need speakers to hook them up to
they are the same but i don't if keypad is also
Keybed definitely different
try to set audio output in 48k, 96k, 192kHz and try to play complicated performance, see the difference ?
MODX can only to 44.1 via USB, that's another difference, the audio options available.
I MEAN, IF THE MONTAGE IN SET OF 96, 192 KHZ AND YOU PLAY COMPLEX TONES WITH VARIOUS FILTERS YOU WILL HEAR A DIFFERENT SOUND QUALITY WITH THE MODX. I KNOW THE MODX JUST HAVE 44 KHZ
I was agreeing with you in terms of audio quality options.
How's the MODX 88 for a primary AP board?
I haven't used the 88 key version so I'm not sure.
Curious in ur take
Yeah I feel you! I'm a huge fan of the workstation, just straight forward and no fuss. I'm not sure what packs you're referring to?
Been looking at there stuff all morning , apparently they collared with austicaudio for the montage and modx
@@DDaniels3000 Do you mean Acousticsamples?
@@SoundsAndGear my bad , I’m horrible with the typos.. but yea that’s the company.. curious if they are good ext
@@DDaniels3000 Yeah, I've used them for years, they have some dope libraries.
Do you lug the Montage around?
No, I'm not a live player/musician so for me it is only home studio use
I am surprised that these companies still make these keyboards. The age of Plugins will knock them out completely in the near future :-)
I don't think so. Instruments will always have a place, people have been saying that for years.
@@SoundsAndGear Classical instruments of course will be there forever,,I am talking digital ones. Plugins are really getting insane in their capabilities.
@@qasion Plugins are awesome for sure, but keyboards, synths, etc will not be replaced. Not everyone wants to use a computer/software, some like to use both as well. There's room for it all in my opinion!
@@SoundsAndGear Roger that my friend.
Have you seen any Pro Studio only use Plugins to make big hits?
They have the same sound engines.
thanks for letting me know...
Definitely a difference in the keybed and how it interacts with the sound engine
For me it sounds basically the same….
Cool, thanks for watching!
The Montage is slightly better in my opinion.
Thanks for watching
They are really the same keyboard the only difference is the feel and polyphony and buttons
Thanks for watching. Pretty close, not the same, but close enough for most people.
Wouldn't the the "Pure Analog Circuit (PAC)" that the Montage has sweeten the sound if using the regular outputs ? thanks for the demo S&G
Thanks for watching! Yeah, that's part of the reason for the comparison, to see if there's a noticeable difference.
@@SoundsAndGear Thanks !!! I wasn't sure if you were using USB audio which is probably identical on both , I prefer the analogue outs for a bit of warmth and you can clearly hear some extra body with the Montage when using these !
Yeah, I'm not hooking this up to my computer for recording so no need for the USB for me really. I've only used it with the iPad.
MONTAGE
Thanks for watching!
nah they don't sound identical. However, for the price it's a great buy
Agreed, thanks for watching!
sound exactly the same to me \ m /
Cool, thanks for watching!
It's have the same sounds inside.
Thanks for watching
ima former church musician who trynna debate witch one I played on the modx + and the montage before I can't debate I want something that I can carry around with out being heavy I was looking at the modx 71
If you want something that isn't heavy definitely modx over montage.
@@SoundsAndGear so would the 71 key be better
@@Tybrazzy_ Really depends on your preference.
Let’s say. MODX sounds cheaper.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Modx sounds amazing it sounds better in some parts
And I gave the modx8 and I love it the Keybed is way better than the moxf8
Thanks for watching!
Nope, they both sound the same. The MODX cost less than the Montage.
Cool cool peace brother
Thanks for watching!
Modx is much better than moxf
Thanks for watching!
The montage PreAmp is better, but the patches are almost the same.
Thanks for watching! You mean the output? Yeah patches are very similar, slight difference due to output, keybed, etc.
same only dog can make difference :-)
Lol thanks for watching
montAge is too big...too heAvy...too expensive!!! modx is simple & lighter............
Thanks for watching
Same sh....
😑
LOL
This is the same engine. They should sound similar, lol.
I know what engine they use LOL! Still people want to know if the sound identical, not similar. Thanks.
🤦🏾♂️ I'm sorry but this comparison should've never happened. Their BOTH made by Yamaha. So they will sound EXACTLY the same, which is what I heard.
🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
Very well comparation!!!!!!
Thanks for watching.
Key bed makes the difference especially pointing out samples
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this vid bro nice set up btw
@@str8upme2 Thanks!
Sound very similar except the Montage has got some more grunt and depth.
Thanks for watching, I agree, but for many this is a really good buy.
Only bcoz of the price
Thanks for the comparison. Helps so much bruh.
Thanks for watching!
guys, for all who look for the difference between this synth's..got it from Yamaha's
"MONTAGE features professional balanced outputs with "Pure Analog Circuit" (PAC). PAC improves the quality of signal after being converted to analog from digital for clear harmonic reproduction and even frequency response. The result is an output capable of reproducing MONTAGE's internal content expressively with power and clarity."
so it means pretty much i think to louder the price...reason = max quality of the sound. So if you important in it, then Montage your way, if no or havnt a possibility to get Montage, go for MODX and use some saturation fx's from a top software to get a same or maybe more rich harmonics.
also some more from their forum:
"Yamaha's PAC is more accurate: It doesn't turn down the treble or use a graphic equalizer. The slight jaggedness of the initial conversion (from digital stream to analog waveform) is massaged by their output stage to interpolate any unwanted/unintentional micro splinters of the wave to a smooth wave surface, without simply filtering out signals higher than, say, 5 kHz. So you still retain high frequencies, but without unintended harshness."
so need to add 2k finally) lol
Yeah, I mentioned it in the video, definitely one of the differences between them
Modx sounds good!
Yes, it does!
@@SoundsAndGear But Montage sounds better!!!
I agree!
@@SoundsAndGear I have MOTIF XF and MOXF and the distance between them is shorter....
Cool! Yeah I had the Moxf for a while too.
They sound identical to me. If there is a difference, it's very subtle.
Yeah it's a slight difference, more distinguishable in some sounds than it is in others, some sounds you can't even tell at all.
Yes, thanks a lot :)
thanks for watching
thats right, but bad that for this a little difference Yamaha want to get in 3 times more cash.
I appreciate your taking the time.
Thanks for watching!
the different between the plastic vs metal☺️
Hahahaha
Thanks for the vid brother! The montage has more presence. Sounds more pronounced and upfront. As a standalone instrument with vocals the montage will hit the spot. Though in a mix with other instruments you wouldn't notice the difference between the two. The montage would probably cut through the mix a bit better but other than that... both sound fantastic!
Thanks for watching, yes, both sound great!
for me, i have used those keyboards and they sound the same
cool!
They sound too identical that you can barely tell a difference if there is any. Montage on a couple presents sound like it has a bit more reverb or is ssssslightly richer in sound. But if you have those sounds going in a mix your not going to tell the difference. With the Price, you can't go wrong with the MODX.
Thanks for checking, it's close for sure, really depends on what you're looking for and how you plan to use it.
I feel and kinda hear a very slight difference in Audio between the both. I believe the Montage sounds slightly better because it has more polyphony compare to the MODX!
Same engine, same sound for me.
Polyphony has nothing to do with sound quality..
@@helsinkioslo836 correct
Thanks for watching
S90 VS ModX ? Cual es mejor?
