Chris I just love watching your videos. I’ve watched all of Andrew, Camarado,s videos and that’s how I got started watching excavation. Keep up with the really great camera angles under the vehicle on top of the vehicle, etc. you do it so well thank you.
How many times have you heard Uncle John tell the customer "If you just would have listened to Chris, it would have been much cheaper"? You have a sense from many years of doing this as how to overcome the obstacles nature presents to fulfill the intended project. Thanks for bringing us along to watch you make your vision fulfilled.
In all honesty, I'll bet very few times, if any, just because of professionalism. I'm sure there would have been an instance or two where they were familiar and on good terms with the customer that they could have got away with that, but it generally doesn't do well for your goodwill or reputation to dunk on customers.
I use to have the same issues with my 4x4 dually mason dump and converted it to super singles which you can get in load range J / 16 ply.. they're really good for the F-450/550"s ..we actually did the same thing with our fire department brush truck.... no more getting stuck in the greasy surface mud even pulling the trailer...you might want to look into this... Good luck with everything !
I used to think it would be fun to operate earthmoving equipment, but after watching all your videos I have come to the conclusion that it isn't all skittles and beer out there. Sure, after a day I might be able to move the machine around, and perhaps even get some actual work done - but if you handed me a plan / print and told me to 'make it like this', I would not have the first idea of how to proceed. Long story short, proper respect to you for not only knowing how to operate the machines with skill and finesse, but also for knowing when and where to apply those skills. You must enjoy your job, and from what I have seen you SHOULD enjoy it - because after all, you put in a lot of work and brainsweat to get where you are now; you EARNED the right to sit in air conditioning while shoveljockeys like me sweat it out.
Working on a busted pond dam myself. My first one and I have been learning a lot from you! Before video had been shot. Looking forward to posting the after!
Man I am so jealous I want to come drift the Volvo haul truck. Looks like fun. I've drifted an 18 wheeler a few times. Some on purpose others not so much. God bless
When you move your equipment front a job site, do you move it all yourself or do you hire someone with a low boy? Just thinking you would spend a lot of time moving things etc. Thanks for the videos! Jim.
Believe it was on a different channel where it was discussed for the need to build the cost of time and moving equipment into the bid. The bottom line, you would usually make more money doing it yourself rather than paying somebody. Covering costs is what keeps you in business.
Dammit Man !! Ya just make it look to easy Chris...lololol.... I knew when i seen the Gopro shot under the Dump that is was getting trashed on the backside , and then you pulled it out !!! lmao !! You guys are lucky that your even getting to work at all , with all the rain we have had this winter , hell i know all the creeks, streams , an rivers here in Western Ky. are all still Flooding !!! I think you guys have got even more than we have here...But , Spring is just around the corner mabe it's all just about over ?? Anyway another Great one Chris !! Have a Great Evening...
Amazing what a good operator w the right equipment can do n a day. That 250 is a beast. Imagine doin that w a tandem truck w no gate lol. Haul truck must be nice to have
When the under the haul truck started. I said poor GoPro. They might give you a few for testing purposes. If that one works again, I'd send the video. Becoming a beta tester. That 250 is a mauler. More power! Watch this! Lol
I know you won't ding up that counter balance, but you could at least get one of those decals that make it look like it didn't just come off of the showroom floor!
This property seems very similar to yours especially how you change the layout of the road to avoid the low spot on the corner and go further out an around.
@letsdig18 Hey Chris, would you please hit that dozer exhaust with a wire wheel and then some hi temp paint. What color, who cares? Years it has needed a coat of paint. :)
Can you drift a 6x6...watch this...lol. Good old NC weather and soil/dirt/clay...65 today...snow on friday. Wait and Chris broke something...that might be the first ive seen.
Man i comment an like EVERY video. Why do i NEVER get thr little heart let's dig 18 symbol????. I know ur busy man. But damn I'm a loya watcher, been w u since the beginning. EITHER way good vidja as usual!!!!!!!!!!!!°°°°°°°°°°
I got it all fingered out.... red clay makes red bricks and to make bricks you need heat, so you putty knife out the brick shapes out of that clay and put them on baking pans above stump fires and cook till done, may need extra baking powder but wait for the dusty days and sweep it up.... dust your biscuits liberally and then say to hail marys, drink lots of wine, all good chefs seem to, and get own tv cooking show on how to cook driveway. I ate beans tonight so don't take everything as gods truth.... or you could start a game show called "wheres the rock"
As a mechanic, every time I see an A25 or A30, I just wanna puke. Can't stand those things. Don't let a drop box go out. And when you need to replace the steering cylinder bushings under the cab, have fun. I won't do that stupid garbage anymore. I say ta hell with Volvo.
Not to be rude or nothing. But u really should clean tracks. I know u do it because I’ve seen u do it but still I damn near do it when I’m finished using it at the end of the day
azonicds because it’s just the cause of taking care of your machine. It’s always nice to have a clean machine in the morning right. That’s my idle down time for an excavator.

Great video Chris thanks for sharing have a great day stay safe out there
Do you usually scrape topsoil/organic material before you build a road? If so do you just grade it out somewhere else?
Working on a busted pond dam myself. My first one and I have been learning a lot from you! Before video had been shot. Looking forward to posting the after!
beautiful work, I always accompany you here from Brazil👏👏
The dozer work is always my favorite.
Awesome fun! Drifting in the dump truck!

Hope you bought a dragline and a concrete pump at the auction, looks like youll need them here. Ha
Chris have you ever considered a larger, possibly a wide track dozer with a bigger blade, would be an asset on these larger jobs ?
Another cool camera angle .looks like that beast is coming for ya
