They're getting some good reviews in the hifi mags.
Man I hope it's just because of your gear but those sound so scooped, boomy and tinny. I wouldn't be able to listen to them for more than 10 seconds. Just full of modern awfulness.
They sound nothing like this in person. It's the capture system
That's true,maybe is using tone control for bass & treble.
