Would it had mattered in this pandemic outbreak? He had to be immediately quarantined after his partner's death, so there is no consoling, or grieving. Hospitals aren't allowing patients to have visitors, and there are no traditional funerals. I'm surprised this news outlet didn't mention this very important peace that is happening not just all across America right now but the world.
This is why all of us need to reach out to our love ones and let them know we love them, because if you stricken with this virus and have to go to the emergency room, you are going to be solo.

Well first of all, you and I have one thing in common for sure: We both say what we mean and mean what we say. Secondly, since you are on the "front line" 12 to 14 hours daily, despite whatever differences our comments (yours vss. mine) may have presented, you still deserve to be highly commended for the energy you expend and the efforts you make in behalf of the people you serve and whose lives you obviously try very hard to preserve. This is especially so given the fact that you are unquestionably putting your life on the line, for sure! You wished me well (and yes I am staying home), and that is much appreciated. I am likewise wishing the same for you although I know you can't stay home. I am strongly hoping that somehow you receive the protective gear and supplies you all so desperately need to continue rendering your vital service, and yet come through this global pandemic safely and unscathed.

There are so many sick but more dying as rates so fast, it's nearly hard to even comprehend. Just the helplessness can get to you but have to keep going. We cannot stop until this is over. We can feel it all later. Protective equipment seems like a luxury. We are having to reuse masks that would normally be thrown away. Maybe if people have the time they can make and donate masks. We make do with what we have. Hopping on here and venting helps. Please just keep praying
Prayers are the only way we can make it through this. God bless your family and indeed the peoples of the world. This is going to get much worse before it gets better. G2G. Stay safe and well at home. My strength comes from God. Praise the Lord!

Ms. Andersen, you said "This is going to get much worse before it gets better". And as hard as it is to face, what you said unfortunately is true. However, since you are, not just a "religious" person, but a religious person who clearly demonstrates an "active" compassion for people, here are a few positive things to think about: God is very much aware of the suffering and death that has resulted and will yet result from this pandemic. And there are reasons why he has allowed unfortunate events such as this for a time. However, he has also made it clear that in due time he will bring sickness, suffering, death, along with all the man-made elements that cause it all, to an end. There are many, many Bible scriptures and accounts that support what I stated. But I ain't tryin' to give you a sermon. Here are three scriptures you can dwell on to build you up and help you cope with the present situation:
      Psalms 37:10, 11
Isaiah 33:24, and last, but not least......
      Revelation 21:3 - 5
Believe it or not, these 3 scriptures are closely interlinked.
In the meantime, as you continue to do your utmost in behalf of the numerous patients that you will undoubtedly encounter in the upcoming days, weeks and possibly months, please do what you've gotta do to protect and take care of YOURSELF!!!!!

When I said this don’t sound right, I mean it. Unfortunately, this is the perfect time for spouses or relatives to do something malicious to their loved ones to get rid of them and/or cash in an insurance policy or two. I have two relatives and three friends currently working in a hospital and they all say that many deaths are being easily assigned to Covid 19 just because this crisis is overwhelming the world at this time, hence it’s a super duper easy ready made default answer or supposed cause of someone’s death. If someone dies at home and the person that reports the death says the descendant had Covid-19 symptoms, and the descendant isn’t shot, injured or their body doesn’t look blunt force traumatized, they more than likely will be classified as a Covid victim without much checking because no one has time for that right now. All I’m saying is If I were her family, I would be suspect because of the way this story Is told by the Lady’s spouse or boyfriend or whatever he was to her. The story just doesn’t sit well. I would also look into finding out if there are insurance policies involved. I’m just saying...

As aforementioned, I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree (BSN). I have been a RN for 34 yrs. I am on the front line still. I know first hand how overwhelmed WE are. BUT...if they have set aside a special tele health team to specifically (virtually) treat pts (patients) that call in to a centralized place, then that's what it should do. Rather than to set it up and not avail nor to commit in doing just that for pts that are concerned about covid-19. Obviously, they should have known that ppl were going to be calling in with such concerns, where are the Dr's to JUST man those calls and to render a professional opinion? If they were not going to be available, then this tele-health business should have never been created. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!

This virus at times is VERY FAST we all need to take caution. Two times last month I was at the ER could not keep a nothing down. The DR had me to have 2 IVS to get fluid in me. I was tested for something the DR did not tell me what I had. I am a senior citizen and I stay at home 99.9 % of the time. It's very sad young and old gets this bad virus we do our best to stay healthy. I have a homemade sign on the window that no visitor's allowed. I did found out I had the flu for the 2nd time in 4 years. It's very sad that people are dying and leaving love ones . I hope soon that this could be over it will take alot more time.

Hope that the stores get bleach in soon to clean our homes this is the only thing that kills the virus. Wear mask and disposable gloves.

“....inspire more people to stay at home?!!?” Isn’t staying at home, as opposed to going to see an actual doctor and getting help, what caused her death???

Where in the story does it say they refuse to leave home? Hospitals are turning people away due to high volumes. These app are used for preliminary diagnosis, which she never received to begin with.

@@twonkieh7445 In the area where I live, a lady went to the ER to get checked after feeling symptoms of the sickness. They did the swab, but then were told that they wouldn't do the test, to go home and self quarantine. The lady died.

The thing about this virus, it doesn't seem to hit everyone the same, now that it's becoming springtime and a lot of people get hayfever around this time with pollen, pine trees and dogwood trees, grass, etc for some it brings on the same syptoms (coughing, sneezing, runny nose). They're telling people not to go to the hospital unless you're having problems breathing or feeling like your lungs has fluid like pneumonia.

Deeply sorry, for this man's loss. No one knows, how she caught it ? We tend to be creatures of habit when it comes to daily routines. So in interacting and coming into contact with people, places and things she contracted COVID-19 . True it may never be known from who or what she got COVID-19, but I have a feeling if her activities of the last two or 3 weeks were investigated, there may have been an uprise of people who also came down with COVID-19, same time as this woman, or after . Don't wait for a MD to call back, go to the ER, plan now if this should happen to you. Buy a haz mat suit, mask and gloves. Put on that regalia and go to the ER. The sooner medical treatment is started the better your chance of survival.
