If any suspicion was raised, the culprit could easily cover up their evidence by dislodging rocks and burying all of it. The shoes, or belongings of children the potential serial killer collected actually seems much more likely than anything else.it’s specifically shoes, and nothing else. Likely, if it was a killer, he took their victims to a secluded area in or around the cave, did what he wanted with them, killed them, and left the evidence in the cavern to be forgotten with time.

3:46 in my country people throw shoes over power lines to let "knowledgeable" people that there are drug dealers in that neighborhood, the more shoes the more dealers, around 6 years ago there was like 4 or 5 shoes in my area and then i witnessed them all getting arrested, no shoes to this day anywhere
