Ted - I am so happy to have found your video series. Yours is a calm, wise voice. I wish I could learn (more) from you in person but your videos are the next best thing. Thank you so much! PS I love the story of Levi and the donkey.

Really loved this video! Just found your channel today. My favourite parts were where you were talking about the horse you had that was special and you made sure everything was done right from the time he was a baby. I got a weanling 1.5 years ago and did just that as I wanted to start fresh with a horse that had no bad habits. It was the best decision I ever made and he is doing amazing. I think a solid foundation can make such a great horse and it makes me happy that my guy has had this start in life.
Otherwise, you had some other wonderful points in the video but this one I mentioned really stuck with me.

I bought my horse from Ted and he is everything Ted said he would be. If I'd ever need to get another horse, Windy Hill is where I will go. I also refer people looking for horses to Windy Hill. Ted and his staff are terrific!!

+MaryAnn Slonaker Thank you so much. I am actually speaking with him and getting the right horse for my grand daughter who has high functioning autism. He is soft spoken and gentle as can be. MaryAnn did you go see your horse before you bought him?

Many horses that are for sale are older, late teens early 20s. Habits are established very much by then. Some for good and some not. And wish we had more videos on the older horses.

Good, healthy, trained horses cost more to purchase than the car I drive. I feel my goal of owning one after saving Magic, Tonka, Dixie, Cashmere, Mercy, Willow and Chewy will never become a reality, but these lovelies sure have taught me a lot.

Amen. It's the same with the arabians now. They are very different from the old school arabians. And you know for a fact no Bedouin were breeding high strung, spooky horses that were gonna get them killed, not be able to ride into battle. Arabians should be brave, not spooky. Calm, not high strung. They have supercharger anatomy, but they should be calm. My aunt had an old school arabian stallion and that was the only horse we were allowed to fool around with unsupervised.

Horses don’t increase in price by size btw. Unless your a meat buyer. Don’t mis-educate folks about such things please. Geez! 14, 15, 16, 17 hands, all vary depending on Everything else but size. 🙄

Show Ring Rejects? A lot of horses that have been Kicked Around? Horses that didn’t get along with somebody else? Backyard horses? How do you suggest we work with ALL of THOSE horses??!! I mean, you love horses, don’t you?? So, let’s figure out what WE’RE DOING WRONG to All those ‘types’ of horses you mentioned! Let’s start there. Sir, with all due respect, you are not helping anyone with any horse. You’re trying to sell horses older women, that’s it. You don’t make any sense.I’m not being mean here, but something needs to be said on behalf of horses Everywhere. I cannot make sense of what you’re saying and how all over the place you are in what you’re saying. So, how would a Horse understand you? And NO HORSE IS A REJECT. And a TRUE HORSEMAN WOULD NOT TALK LIKE YOU, NOR SPEAK SO HATEFULLY AND DISMISSIVELY OF HORSES. I will check out your wife’s 90 videos on working with one horse. He was never allowed to do anything wrong? Wow!!! I’d hate to have you as a parent!!! You make a mistake and you’re gonna get stomped and beaten so you remember not to make a mistake... Sir, Christian’s ‘mistakes’? They were YOUR mistakes. Lesson #1. Your welcome;)

Big ole word salad with no calories and a cotton mouth dressing - disliked. It's like a huntin dog that barks all over the place but don't hun't
