Any Nascar fan will never say I love auto racing. This guy clearly read a book and he got fed all the facts on cue cards
I say I love auto racing because there's more than just NASCAR.
Dude that was my first thought. Even the people that love dirt track with nascar, will just say “I love racing”. I never heard a fan say “auto racing”
@@Tylnorton Like Monster Jam
He sold it at an auction later for $112k, advertised that it had been on PawnStars!
where? when? links?
asyouratty13 not sure where it is online, I was at the auction.
asyouratty13 it sold for $111k
@@pennyp9497 yeah thats less
skoitch I can confirm that I also read that in comment section somewhere. It must be real
I usually try to defend these guys, but I don't think the signatures guy was the right person to bring in to value a nascar jumpsuit...😂
This guy was also proven to be a fraud Authenticator too
Yup, there's no way to 100% prove a signature is authentic
@@mortalkombatisbeast it wasn't this guy dumbass that was Drew. From authentic autographs unlimited.
@@Musicrecords10 video footage
Check eBay, less than $10k for a Dale firesuit.
He's a hand writing expert not a NASCAR expert smh. Also, he died in the Daytona 500 and not the Indy 500. Indy 500 isn't even NASCAR
@Santiago Oehler Toca Yeah, dale's Earnhardt is pretty much the biggest name in racing. Theres only 4-5 other names you can even make an argument for
@Santiago Oehler Toca I haven't even heard of half of those names 🤷♂️ must not be that great
@Santiago Oehler Toca Yeaaahh, I've heard of Schumacher and Prost, never even heard the other names and if I did I don't remember. That said, you know exactly who Dale Earnhardt is, dont you?
Everyone does.
@Santiago Oehler Toca "I know he is one of the best"
Thanks for agreeing even tho you tried to insult me while doing it. 👍
@@gearbanginentertainment7476 I beg to disagree the greatest ever name in racing is probably Ayrton Senna the has everything going for him arguably the best driver ever in f1 great man who was Brazil's national hero and he gave most of his money to charity he was also very down to earth and most importantly has the greatest lap ever in motorsport which was his qualifying lap at the Monaco grand prix and he won 3 world championship in the most iconic car of all time
Correction: He died in the final lap of the Daytona 500. Not the Indy 500. Plus, it’s not even called the Indy 500 for NASCAR, it’s Brickyard 400
MarkRoss 9696 Lmaoo facts
No one cares dude took loads of effort just to tell u that pmsl
well done
Well someone’s a know it all
He died in the hospital. Not at Daytona 500.
When he asked for 100k I thought Corey's gonna offer like 30-40k but as soon as I seen fraud expert I knew it has to be 10 grand
Yeah the "expert" that just Googles signatures and acts like he has some private database of all of it. I'm just as much of an expert as he is.
They work together and someone gets a cut. Wink wink.
I think the other signature guy was the fraudster
This seller was smart. He took the shops "I've gotta get it framed" excuse right out of the equation!
But that’s not the frame they were gonna use so in the end they would have to reframe it
They'd still have to reframe it dummy. You know how many framed items they've gotten over the years?
Auto Young what did you call me buddy

Auto Young oh ok thought I was gonna have to bust some heads
As a Dale Earnhardt fan, I would have never ever sold that.
Yea
You won't believe how much Dale Eamhardt Stuff we got we have two remote control go carts still in the box We also got the truck, the holler in the car inbox and tons of diet cast even a match box set from 93 That comes with a car, a truck, and a Van. But those are in my hot wheel/matchbox collection.

“Hey, yeah I got ha guy down here with a Dale sr. Racing jacket and he wants $100,000. It’s autographed but can you come in and tell him that it’s only worth $20,000 retail and I’ll give you a bonus”
I swear that’s exactly how these phone calls go.
Corey: what you wanna do with it. You wanna sell it or pawn it?
Customer: I want a free valuation so I can sell it higher elsewhere.
Corey: Give me 5 minutes
Sachin Dhanbir old man 👻u wanna donate it😅😭
It sold for over $100k at action not long after this episode.
I swear this “expert” doesn’t know anything
Josh Hervatin I think he went to jail for fraud. That’s what I seen on other pawn stars clip comments
He’s an autograph authenticator, what does he know aboht values of items. This guy was right on asking 100k for that snd I hope he got it for that much elsewhere

Proof pawn stars have no idea what they're doing in some scinarios

Right wtf 2 totally different things
Yeah, I noticed that to. I cringed.
are you kidding me?? lol
I am an Aussie, and not a regular watcher of NASCAR and I even I know it was on the final lap at Daytona.

Dude it's Dale Earnhardt SR , that suite is worth a million dollars!!!!
Nope, I looked them up, between 9 and 15K signed and around 5K unsigned.
Actually about $115k which it sold for after the episode aired.
No Earnhardt fan would sell this.
Yeah, because all Earnhardt fans are rich multi-millionaires that could never possibly need $100k.
None of the Earnhart fans I know even have $100k in assets.

Great
He wasn’t killed in the 2001 Indy 500, he was killed in the 2001 Daytona 500
UMMMMM PAWN STARTS YOU NEED TO DO A MAAAAAAASIVE fact check on that Dale Earnhardt died at the Daytona 500
@Harold Assfartzh he raced in the 2001 daytona 500 and got into an accident on the last lap that put him in the hospital. He died at the hospital
All Cory knows about Dale is, "you don't get a nickname like the intimidator for no reason"
I love how Grad loves to 'overdefine' things. "You know, this is a jumpsuit, so you have two holes right here for the legs, a hole for each of the arms, and a space on top where your head comes out. Then you have pockets - these are little flaps sewn into the jumpsuit where you can store things..."
These guys drive in circles called laps. They go very fast and its dangerous. Cars have 4 wheels. They must have air in the tires to go around the course.
The thing about any collectible is that it's worth whatever someone's willing to pay.
Cleetus shed a tear and shot gunned a Bartel Skeet while watching this video 😂 if you know you know
I’m Pawn Shop and this is my Rick Harrison. I work here with my old hoss and my man,big son. Everything in the story has a price and a here. One thing I’ve 21 years learned-you never door what is gonna come through that know.
Vibes wow that was a trip!
I haven’t watched racing once since he died, I cried like a baby because Earnhardt was the freaking MAN
100k???
Not sure his D500 winning suit with signatures would get 100k. Would have been good to see Rick offer a price and then say "I've got to reframe it"
He must that that's the only suit in existence. He even said Dale retired his suit after every race.
You gotta understand I gotta resell it and re frame it im taking all the risk
@@fucker4166 you forgot auction fees ;) The man has a pawn shop, but seems to only sell in auction houses.
Kermit the Frog after every race he won...
The customer was trying to rip Rick off. If $100K is legit, you better have info (like how many of these suits are out there) to back-up your argument.
This man really looked him in his face and said 15k after he said his best was 85k total disrespect
And sold for over $100k not long after the episode aired...
Corey is going to run that business into the ground when rick dies.
He died in the daytona 500 not indy ffs 🤦♂️
3:19 The guys that appraise the memorabilia on the show always look like they're running for their life after giving their appraisals.
They always have a guilty expression on their face as well. Especially with this "expert".
Signature expert, pricing sports memorabilia hahaha
right weres the expert for sports stuff along line of nascae
Why not, Al Shea??? He authenticates a lot of things. Should he just be restricted to one thing?
Just like Boogeyman I am coming to get you

LIT.
Best I can research, this suit was sold May 16, 2014 through Heritage Auctions. Can't get a final sale price, but the Starting Bid was $20K and there were 18 bids following the opening offer. Probably sold in the neighborhood of $40-50K.
That signature look exactly like the one on the tire.
facts haha
Indy 500??? Imagine Dale Earnhardt racing Mario Andretti!! EPIC!!! 🤯🤯😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Earnhart wouldn't stand a chance against Andretti
Whoever told them he was killed at the Indy 500, needs to get their facts straight.
Well we couldn’t make a deal but I want to take a second to thank Goodwrench, coca-cola, skoal, Marlboro, GM motor, McDonald’s, 76 gasoline, RC Racing, and Chevy for making that car fast and unbreakable!
Y’all Have a good day now
*_Dale_* is a *_LEGEND!_*
sмυrƒ , I heard Webster’s dictionary has Dale’s picture under the word “Legend”
As soon as baldy walked in a knew he'd give it a horribly low evaluation.
“Yes, I love auto racing”... are you sure? Cuz it sure doesn’t sound like it
Indeed, I'm a fan of automotive contests!
New show called (LET ME CALL A BUDDY) so we can have a guy come in that we know to lower the price of your item.
Cant put a price on something like that. Items like this need to be in a museum of some sort.
Very cool. Thank you very much
Dale Sr passed away in the Daytona 500 and not the Indy 500. I would have thought the editors could have checked that.
Gotta share the episode to a good friend of mine, really interesting 🎉
100k is a lot of money for any racing suit, even for a top driver like Earnhardt - part of the problem is that there are a LOT of racing suits - he won 76 races (and retired a suit after he won) - plus numerous other suits.
@joey b 77 of an item when your dealing with collectibles is a large number as far as value. If there were only 1 or 2 or 3 suits you might get near that amount. There just aren't enough collectors willing to spend 100k on a racing suit, even one from Sr. There are actually more than 77 suits, that's just the ones that were retired after a win. I'm guessing you might have double that or more if you included every suit he owned. Now, if it was his very first suit signed by him, or one he used when he won Daytona, the value would go up considerably. (The same thing applies in Europe for the top Formula One & Grand Prix drivers - Michael Schumacher is idolized as much or more there - none of their suits brings 100k at auction).
I will admit, as an aside, that I never grew up idolizing Dale Sr. I was a huge The King fan; I grew to admire Sr. after he passed away. Same thing with Jimmie Johnson, because I was a big Jeff Gordon fan - and now I'm sad I didnt appreciate Jimmie when he was the best
Thank goodness he didn't sell and stood firm I was about to throw my bowl of cereal if he sold that for 15k
Dat cheek twitch at 3:17 when he heard the appraisal
Slimy Steve & his iPad back with his usual low ball appraisal
Never trust a guy who wears rings on his index finger.

Weird how they are "all" race car fans (or auto car, ehhhh?) and none of them noticed.
Syd Clark I know it seems like they didn’t do there research

SELLER: I have this cool racing suit.
RICK: I know someone who raced this guy...
Earnhardt Sr. died on the last lap of the Daytona 500, not the Indy 500.
He died in the hospital. Not at Daytona 500.
@hurricaneheli79 he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. But it was determined he had already passed away on the infield after the wreck occurred. Everyone knew it was bad but they were waiting for a confirmation before saying anything to the public.
They can't say I gotta frame it lol
Day 2 of watching Pawn Stars stoned to the bone
Good job holding out on that!! I’m sure it’s worth way more than that!
There was no pass in the grass. Dale was blocking Elliott. I met Dale twice he is a legend.
He never passed anyone in the grass but he got loose in the grass and like usual he saved it THE BEST EVER TOO DO IT.

Uhh, yea I'd make sure your home has a working security system lol
I wonder how much they pay these "experts" to come in and lowball everything they appraise. It's never EVER anywhere the seller's asking price. It's always around 20-40%.
i guess you arent aware of sellers asking for too much with their things.
I thought he died at Daytona? I live in Rockingham, NC and we had the next race after that. Needless to say, it was very solemn that weekend at The Rock.
It was the Daytona 500!!!!
If it only worth 20k, 15k was a fair offer considering it came from Ricks place.
20k According to this guy (Steve) an autograph "expert" who also happens to works for the pawnshop and Corey called in to give a low ball estimate, in sted of calling in a sports memorabilia expert who would consider the suits historic value as well.
@@juliusgold1 You're dumber than a bucket of rocks LOL.
@@jasonmichael3676 Pawn Stars commenters are envious and are liars. They make-up elaborate lies to try to convince people that Rick lowballs.
@@juliusgold1 ah well ill make sure to never go to a single pawn shop in existence since they all call in experts to appraise stuff... in fact lets just let all these pawn shops close down because all of them are purposefully low balling us with their "experts" that they have down their pockets. see where your slippery slope is going? have you actually been to their shop? they actually run a buisness this isn't just a show, not only that what proof do you have that 20k is a lowball? are you a expert in this type of field? if so show the proof that you are if not can you even talk?. this autograph appraiser probably knows more about this subject then you. so what is it? do we get rid of every pawn shop in existence since they call "experts" in to appraise?
