It might just be me, but personally I think Rebecca Benson is just the cutest person ever, in this episode of the aftershow. What a wonderful young lady. Doctor Who certainly is blessed to have so many amazing people behind it.
I really REALLY hope the Fan show Interview John Simm next week! Seems unlikely since he shy's away from such things. It be so nice to see him talk about his return to the show and his experience working on the show before.
An enjoyable episode with some scare moments for Bill in the woods. The Doctor and Missy scenes are showing a different side to the Doctor / Master relationship. I'm loving this is the last proper adventure for this TARDIS's Team before the big finale and I honestly thought that maybe the Doctor might start regenerating here when heading off to face the wee beasties. Interestingly I was thinking the last time Peter was involved with Romans was when he played one in the Fires of Pompeii opposite 10th Doctor David Tennant. Now why that face? 😯
Well, this certainly was a unique episode. I certainly enjoy Romans and Scottish warriors myself. ☺ Also, I could've sworn that the actor playing the Roman Commander looks an awful lot like the Guavian Enforcer leader from Star Wars The Force Awakens ( I could be wrong, though)! 😃 And yes, very well acted from Rebecca Benton also. 😊 (Oh, also, REALLY looking forward to the Mondasian Cybermen and John Simm, at last! 😁 X3)
This is the first episode of the fan show that i've watched and I really love it ngl. Really gives you a good closing conversation for when you want some more Who!
Such a great episode! The acting from all of the cast was amazing this week! (It always is! :)) I loved nardoles orange dressing gown and bobble hat , glad to see he's unashamed to go out and about in his pj's!!!! And now I know what to write about for my history essay - the 9th legion's making a comeback!!!! I can't wait to watch the after show , it looks great crystal!!! Xxx
AWWW I've just finished the after show and I'm sad it's over , lovely work Christel (I loved your outfit!) , Rebecca (such a sweet guest star!) and Matt (we missed you! XD) ~ I can't wait for next weeks!!!!
Another great episode of what's already becoming my favourite 12th Doctor series! The monster may not have been that threatening, but I guess the whole point of the episode was to paint the Romans in a different light to how they're shown in History Books and such. And gosh, that Next Time Trailer...That Trailer! I can't wait to see the return of the Classic Cybermen!
What a really great episode! Rona Munro did a fabulous job, just like when she did Survival! I loved all of it, especially the ending!! But I am not ready for the finale! John Simm! Mondasian Cybermen! Possible death?? This is probably gonna be a REALLY EPIC, and a HEART BREAKER of a finale! 😢😢
Loved this episode! Although it is good Missy is sorta turning good, I feel like she has something up her sleeve.. Wonder what shes gonna do with John Simm next week... :)
This episode was really cool, I love it when they mix historical events and sci-fi together! Hoping to see many more returning classic who writers in the future!
I really liked it. Very classic Dr. Who. It was just nice to sit back and have fun with the main characters before things get really tense next week!!!
I found quite a lot to like about this episode. It was slow in a lot of places but I liked the theme of growing up and how the mood contributed to the sense of tragedy; a bunch of kids were set up to *murder* each other, and the only way they can grow up and move past the childish mindset that perpetuated the conflict is basically to imprison themselves for all eternity. I also really like the epilogue with Missy and how that theme applies to her as well. Rather than being a mystery box or any kind o plot related thing, the question of this series seems to be "is Missy capable of change?" I find it *especially* fascinating that that idea is being handled by THIS writer. In "Survival" the Master literally becomes an animal with the idea being he's ultimately incapable of change and has no better nature. Here we are years later, and it's a genuine possibility the Master is going from more creature to more complete person. Not a brilliant episode, but a good think.
Such a brilliant episode! I knew it would be superb as soon as I heard that Rona Munro was writing it, as she wrote the amazing Survival 3-parter. I think I might have squealed a bit too hard at the end of the next time trailer. XD #BlowMeAKiss Right, off to watch the end of Series 3 and the End Of Time parts 1&2 as part of my "Simm-athon".
The episode was brilliant and Kar was a great and strong character. Really, really looking forward to the next episode. Mondasian Cybermen AND John Simm Master? I am SO in.
I thought this was an amazing episode but I cringe every week knowing that this is Peter Capaldi's last season and now he only got two more episodes and a Christmas special!!!!!! can't wait for episode 11 and 12
Doctor Who Doubt you lot have any sort of power like this but when Chris Chibnall is interviewed he needs to be told to bring Rona back more often. Breath of fresh air and waited too long
i wish the monsters would have been kept more vague for once. i was really intrigued by these blue glowing tentacles... that they stem from a big fat beast is kinda unneccessary... i loved the mystery of the first romans death. once the beast was recealed it was a lot less mysterious. anyways, great episode!!! i really enjoyed it
This season I had a tradition where every Saturday at 9:00 (in US thats what time it comes on) I sit down and watch it on the big TV in my house and now its coming to an end and I'm sad. Also, I think episode 11 is the last one for Bill.
Heck this episode was awesome! It was brilliant story of trust, and an absolutely terrifying episode with a terrifying enemy! You don't even see it that much! Which kinda lets your mind run wild.
when are we going to get a link for the TARDIS Lava Lamp? lol EVERY week so far... 'Lava Lamp - link coming soon!' and we're not far from the end of season! ;-)
i'm not the only one who thought this episode would be in relation to Face The Raven am i? i mean what with the intelligent ravens and face paints that oddly resemble Ashildr's chronolock
Do you know what? Kar in russian is caw! Take that! In russian we (I'm from Russia) don't say caw, caw imitating the sound of crows. We say kar, kar. I'm talking about the crow in the end of the episode now.
There are two things about the TARDIS, that every new companion has to know: It's bigger on the inside and it translates different languages in your head. And what does the Doctor say about them? Nothing, until it's too late. Well, in Bill's case: not even then!
A very good episode. I enjoyed it immensely. Particularly the ambiance in the build up portion of the episode (what would be episode 1 and 2 in the classic four part formula) was excellent. Wonderfully acted and scripted as well. The CGI was perfectly fine (not fantastic - just "good" - nothing that bothered me anyway... even though my mind wandered to that one BBC "between show artsy clip" things with the hippopotamuses swimming in a circle formation when I saw the creatures through the portal :D) Only really one point of criticism on my part: When the Doctor wants to enter the portal - instead of the somewhat long and a bit (only by a little bit though) soppy "NO! we will do it!" they should have just shared a look with each other and then knocked him out and just went through with minimal dialogue. Its bordering a bit on cheesy the way it was done here. But every now and again I dont mind some cheese ;) Overall excellent work. Very nice touches all over the place. The high points for me are very high... the low points are nothing to get worked up about. Cheers!
There are no subtitles for deaf people on this, so I can't watch it *disappointed*. All the previous shows had subtitles - what's gone wrong with this one?
Hey Clare, thanks for the spot. Apologies, we're not sure why UA-cam didn't publish these ones but we've fixed that now. We'll put it down to some wibbly-wobbly spatial interference!
What did you think of The Eaters of Light? Let us know in the comments below! 💙💙
Doctor Who It was quite good, but some of it was a bit meh.
Bloody wonderful!
Brilliant all round episode
A really really strong season! And I think this was one of the best episodes too. Great pacing and characters and story.
really enjoyed missy and the doctor are amazing together loved it can't wait for next week
It might just be me, but personally I think Rebecca Benson is just the cutest person ever, in this episode of the aftershow. What a wonderful young lady. Doctor Who certainly is blessed to have so many amazing people behind it.

My master is returning and so are my favourite Cyberman I haven't felt this excited for a season finale since 2008
Well, this certainly was a unique episode. It's the same actor!
OMG! I am So excited for Next Week! The Master and the Mondasian cybermen!! Two epic Villains in One!
This is the first episode of the fan show that i've watched and I really love it ngl. Really gives you a good closing conversation for when you want some more Who!

Loved Rebecca as Kar, in this episode! And YES! BabelColour! His work is majestic! ❤️
Loved this episode so much, good job Doctor Who!
this was such a great episode I can't wait to see what's install for bill nardole and the doctor!
So what you're saying is that we have "World enough and Time" to watch next week's episode of the fan show?
Loved this episode! Although it is good Missy is sorta turning good, I feel like she has something up her sleeve.. Wonder what shes gonna do with John Simm next week... :)
This episode was really cool, I love it when they mix historical events and sci-fi together! Hoping to see many more returning classic who writers in the future!

I thought this was an amazing episode but I cringe every week knowing that this is Peter Capaldi's last season and now he only got two more episodes and a Christmas special!!!!!!

Best episode I've ever seen of the modern series. Absolutely sensational
Glad you enjoyed The Eaters of Light so much! 💙💙
Doctor Who Doubt you lot have any sort of power like this but when Chris Chibnall is interviewed he needs to be told to bring Rona back more often. Breath of fresh air and waited too long

Eaters of Light was damn good
love rebecca, loved the episode & loved the car joke x'DD all in all: great episode
Heck this episode was awesome! It was brilliant story of trust, and an absolutely terrifying episode with a terrifying enemy! You don't even see it that much! Which kinda lets your mind run wild.
I adored this episode, it's my second favorite episode of series 10.
when are we going to get a link for the TARDIS Lava Lamp? lol EVERY week so far... 'Lava Lamp - link coming soon!' and we're not far from the end of season! ;-)
i'm not the only one who thought this episode would be in relation to Face The Raven am i? i mean what with the intelligent ravens and face paints that oddly resemble Ashildr's chronolock
I love her in a costume. More costumes please.
The guy playing one of the Romans (sorry can't be more specific) looks like a young Kevin McNally (Hugo from The Twin Dilemma).
Absolutely loved it❤
CUSHION OF PELADON!!! I'M DYING!!!!
Great to have you back Luke! xD
Do you know what?
Kar in russian is caw!
Take that!
In russian we (I'm from Russia) don't say caw, caw imitating the sound of crows. We say kar, kar.
I'm talking about the crow in the end of the episode now.
that episode was "absolutely fantastic" "allons-y" to the nest episode "Geronimo"!!!!
Forget Jelly Babies, popcorn is the new thing to offer people🍿
Still waiting for Nardole to kick some butt. Maybe in a Don't underestimate me type of situation.
The Empress of Mars and this Episode has some of the best characters because rather than them being flat characters, we actually get to meet them.
alguem pode me dizer onde posso achar os novos episodios?
I miss that moments when the Doctor have clever ideas and then the music starts to grow, like in the Matt Smith Era.
There are two things about the TARDIS, that every new companion has to know: It's bigger on the inside and it translates different languages in your head. And what does the Doctor say about them? Nothing, until it's too late. Well, in Bill's case: not even then!
Now this was a good GoT actor! I would choose her over Williams any day on Doctor Who!
Rebecca is so cute aw fantastic episode!
Gosh darn it guys, how long are you going to mock me with that lava lamp.
A very good episode. I enjoyed it immensely. Particularly the ambiance in the build up portion of the episode (what would be episode 1 and 2 in the classic four part formula) was excellent. Wonderfully acted and scripted as well. Overall excellent work. Very nice touches all over the place. The high points for me are very high... the low points are nothing to get worked up about.
Cheers!
Loved this episode I hope Rona Munro writes more for the show.
I look forward for Luke at the end of each show to see all the fan art

Could you please ask the eaters of light to give us the captions back?

Hello.
👋 Hello Dalek 66!
Is it me or does anyone else actually watch the aftershocks if the writers or a main cast member appear
It was fantastic
Colinfurze has a UA-cam channel and I think he should be the next doctor

*_HOW DID I GET TO PILOTREDSUN FROM HERE?_*
She did it to the Doctor, but if Missy kisses John Simm's Master...

I feel sick with exitiment!!!!
Episode was average. That said, CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!
who or what's in the big box the doctor keeps locked downstairs?
Early squad where are you!!!!!!!
Allons-y!!!
The Doctor as a Vestal Virgin .... foreshadowing we will finally have a female doctor? especially if we might be losing Missy?
Yay! The Internet
Hello Internet
So sad for her character in white princess!
Took only 20 minutes for Bill to remind us she is a lesbian!!!
There are no subtitles for deaf people on this, so I can't watch it *disappointed*. All the previous shows had subtitles - what's gone wrong with this one?
