Wowsir!! I have always been a Gibson sunburst guy...until I bought a black LP Standard....and after seeing these beauties, I am slowly being a convert. At the least, I will say black is my favorite color after sunburst 😊😊

The only reason I love black guitars is because in most situations with guitars of this vintage black was almost always a custom color and meant it was more rare

1970s is the best I can find. 69s are tough. I also like that in cherry says the guy with one lonely (black) top loader 1983 telecaster. There is this Les Paul nut on UA-cam called Trogly who may have a lead. Even Normans doesn't have one. You could always paint one up as it seems you have no problem with that. There are gold ones around.
Bonamassa actually has the first black stratocaster made.

The only thing I have had refinished are lower end models which have been repaired or modified like the es-225s. Everything else black I own is either factory black or was factory black (the 335) and then refinished black again. I would never take a vintage deluxe and “paint” it black for heaven’s sake.

Holy crap, that is quite an assemblage. I don't think I've ever seen a very early 60's 335 in black. Certainly not inconceivable, but have you ever seen another?
