I watched basketball my entire life. I played a little in the 60’s. What I enjoyed about the Fever this year was the movement of the ball and the players. Clark as the point guard orchestrated that style of play. What has turned me off to the WNBA is the directed thuggery directed at Clark. Don’t tell me it’s physical play I’ve watched the games. It was physical intimidation and the referees ignored it. Adam Silver needs to terminate the entire commissioners office. Referees need to be evaluated and terminated. Purposeful fouls intended to hurt need to result in 5 game suspensions, no pay and a fine. Second infraction termination from the league. I would have watched the playoffs but this league is a joke. And long nails should not be allowed they are weapons and not allowed in PA HS games.

It seems like the WNBA, would rather protect the gay women and lesbian couples. Instead of protecting the player, who has brought in new fans & viewership, increased TV ratings, jersey sells, revenue and sold out arena’s. None, not one of the veteran players, or gay couples, had the “star power” to create a positive change for the WNBA. The one thing WNBA Commissioner Cathy needs to do is establish that all players in the WNBA must have short fingernails before each game. If a referee discovers otherwise, that player should be ejected from the game. Many jobs must adhere to the requirements of that job, and WNBA players are no exception. After the game, the players can glue on some replacement fingernails. If these types of fake fingernails aren't available, I'm sure some Chinese manufacturer would be happy to invent them.

And in game 2 with all the B.S. from the Refs, uncalled fouls and freethrows denied and flagrant calls not made that could have produced over 12 points for the Fever, how can you call that a 'Fair' Loss..?? Under those circumstances, how can anyone win a game with decency and skill..?? It's like the fight between Evander Hollyfield vs Tyson and the Referee & Judges giving you the win for biting Evander's Ear Twice and Calling it a "Professional Bout"... Are you kidding me..?!??? Clark should've never continued playing after the eye poke... She should've walked out of the court, gone to the hospital and then to the police to file criminal charges and the WNBA cancelled the game by Forfeit for excessive unnecessary contact and malicious intent and Re-schedule the game without Carrington dijon mustard in suspension and fined with a hefty penalty $$$ and the Refs being replaced with a clean Set of Real Officials... That would've been fair and the decent and correct thing to do. So don't be calling it a "disappointment"... It was Robbery..!!
As an average woman that's never cared about WNBA before.. I'm praying CC goes to European league.. gets a big Nike contract. She will be hurt in WNBA.. she doesn't need this crap.
CC22 is the best thing that ever happened to WNBA and they did everything to hurt her physically and shut her down!!! A playoff with 8,500 attendance truly sucks😂😂😂😂
WNBA viewership being (WAY) down I don't think is strictly because of Clark & her team being out of the playoffs. I think the MANNER they are out of the playoffs is the primary reason the fans have had enough of the bullshit. Clark was deliberately ASSAULTED in her first playoff game - a poke directly at the eye is NOT even a FOUL, it was a pure assault intended to take her out of the game. While (thankfully) she wasn't literally blinded, she was affected by the physical attack to the point her coordination was obviously affected the rest of the game. Get jabbed right below the eye in a game that relies on eye/hand coordination and you're going to be at a disadvantage. That's why it was done: they wanted Clark OUT of the game. Carrington should have been ejected right then and there, but the fact the WNBA did NOTHING showed how biased they were. Game two showed yet again the refs sleeping on the job as they directly WITNESSED blatant fouls and simply let them go. Not 'could be' fouls, but blatant and obvious fouls that would get most players tossed or fined for how bad they were. With the players and refs both acting so unprofessionally.. is it any wonder the fans have had enough? If the WNBA want a circlejerk of their own personal favorites and NOT calling a fair game, then let them go back into irrelevance and play their own little games. But don't expect the fans to be there!
