Taurasi needs to invest in a hammock. Her time is done. Taurasi was a talented player. There have been several talented women's basketball players. But they didn't change the way the game was played and they sure as hell didn't put butts in the seats at WNBA games. Clark is like Babe Ruth was for MLB in the 1920s. He changed the way baseball was played forever. Clark will do the same thing in women's basketball if she sticks around. The way Clark is being assaulted by the thugs in the league, I wouldn't blame her in the least if she gives the WNBA a double middle digit salute and moves on to something that is less hazardous for her health and a better situation for her.

The adjustment looked to me a brief one for CC. As for the WNBA, I would hope somewhere in future a real Commish would restructure the league to be one of basketball instead of football, if you know what I mean. And not only talking about the hits the CC takes, but others as well.
If you know about basketball as a player and coach, you can talk about Clark or any other player. She has 2 triple-doubles as a rookie. Only one other player has the other 5 in the WNBA story. She makes the highest number of points, rebounds, and assists, the fastest in WNBA history in a season as a rookie and regular player.
If people are hating on you that hard, you're doing something right.

Diana Taurasi was the overall #1 draft pick in 2004 and ROTY in 2004 and made MVP in 2009. Her peak years were 2006 thru 2014. A'ja Wilson was the overall #1 draft pick in 2018 and ROTY in 2018. Her first MVP title was in 2020 and her peak years are 2020 to now. She is arguably the best player in the league today. But, can you imagine how good Caitlin Clark will be in 2026 if she doesn't retire on disability before then?

Clark brings more fans bc were not from one geographic area. We're everywhere. I watched the W bc of Lisa Leslie & Sheryl Miller wayyyyy back in the day. I stopped watching NBA due to the horrible officiating. But the W took that expectation & lowered the bar as to trip over it. It's ridiculous. I take everything Taurasi with a grain of salt. Some of what she says is true. Every time i see DT she looks beat up. She is not exaggerating the league we physically try to hurt you DT is speaking the truth of that. For the WNBA players who's calling CC weak must been deaf and blind. Everyone are seeing CC getting criticize, getting bullied and getting harassed everytime she plays. Possibly make a requirement listing as to the 13 things that qualifies a player to be voted MVP. The player who has the most boxes checked should either get the MVP and if there are circumstances of a Tie then Each team Coach gets to Vote and selected Neutral Sport Writers get to Vote. The player with the most regular season points may check 1 box but that alone should not define them as MVP like A'ja Wilson. There has to be more.
Lets give credit where credit is due; No22 is drawing the fans, growing the fan base, no doubt. But No 7 Boston, and No 0 Mitchell, is keeping their competitors honest. Together these 3 are hard to beat, question is; who are you going to give double coverage without leaving someone wide open? This combination makes for a very entertaining game to watch, and the fans can't seem to get enough of it. Games being sold out at record rates.

Swoops has to realize when she played the game which was back in the dino age. The competition was as high as they are now. Take a look a Tiger woods. He came on stage and hit like no others, that is because he was the first to cross train, now all golfer cross train and can hit the distance that tiger first did when he came on stage. Or elvis stolko with his triple spin on ice. No one seen that , but now everyone has to do a triple as part of their skating program. The game is tougher and the next generation is coming onboard and they all play with a fast pace style. Its only a matter of time that CC will look ancient and her records will be broken in a decade or two
