    I always thought we couldn’t make sprinkles, like, those are things that just mysteriously happen in far away factories, so this is incredible to me. Cannot wait to make them with my granddaughters! Thank you sooo much!

      I am the same. I always thought that special machines were needed. The only good thing about this pandemic is having the time to learn how to make normally expensive items myself. My best result so far has been Peppermint Patties (The Salted Pepper). John has made Peppermint Bark, but I don't think patties yet. I can't wait to try these Sprinkles.

    • @PreppyKitchen
      @PreppyKitchen  3 роки тому +55

      the meringue-based frostings are way less sweet and more buttery. You can add a bit extra sugar. I think there's a note for that on the blog post :)

    • @Emma_Bunnell
      @Emma_Bunnell 3 роки тому +6

      @@gwenmead6184 Granulated sugar will make it grainy, so i think it is best to stick to powdered sugar. If you don't have un-salted butter, just skip the extra salt, but be careful, different companies use different amounts of salt, so it might be too salty. Adding more powdered sugar to taste might be a good way to fix that

Think of it as an IQ test - and everyone can see if you passed it or failed it. You also REALLY need to learn the difference between a comma and a semicolon and when to use a period.

    How cool is that!🤩I gotta try this! Who knew you could make your own sprinkles to decorate your own baked goods. I'll never buy sprinkles again, especially during the holidays. Thank you!🥰

      Looooove your videos! This is a great video because we don't always get the types of sprinkles here in South Africa that I would like.

    They remind me of comfits, a sweet used during 16th century England to "sweeten the breath." They often used rose water or orange flower water in the making of them. The mixture can also be used to coat small edible seeds, like caraway seeds, those make them sprinkle size already. : )
