If Red Bull have any chance of winning another championship they will certainly have earnt it with McLaren and Ferrari looking far more competitive again. I’m hoping to see the main points closely split four or even five ways this year with Carlos, George and Lando all hungry for wins….
Yes it would be good to see Lando up there. Mercedes might have to sabotage George Russel again so as not to upset princess Lewis. Will be an interesting first race that’s for sure (except Mercedes will be fastest again - snore)
Which championship has Red Bull won? Are you talking about he one that was robbed from Lewis Hamilton by Michael Masi and gifted to Max Verstappen?
@@pierrojules exactly…
@@Wavelover33 Mercedes is not RB. RB is scared to bring a challenge to Max. We all saw last season how he completely broke down when he actually had pressure and a challenge. RB would never dear bring another strong driver along Max. If Perez starts performing well, they will definitely slow him down. Perez outqualified Max the second race in 2021, then somehow became slow, then quick again later on in the season. They've been giving him second hand parts. lol
im sorry but they will not let george compete for title this year, that will upset lady hamilton and she will threat to take her toys and leave again
Contract with Parent entity ("Lawrence") for Stroll got me laughing
At this rate I really do think Max will be willing to weather 1 or 2 middling seasons with RB, his loyalty is insane.
Jim Clark esque loyalty
They pay him huge money, kiss his ass and build the whole team around him; that isn't loyalty.
He's loyal because he has no pressure from his 2nd team mate. Imagine having team mates like Gasly, Albon and Perez who can't touch him in qualy or race pace. This guy will never jump to another team and take on a competitive team mate lool Its honestly a joke. 2016 to 2028 in the same team....... lool and F1 fans call him a legend. You're having a laugh. Even Vettel,Hamilton and Alonso had the balls to go to other teams.
@@sarky8072 That is the benefit of being the fastest driver on the grid. No one can keep up with you
Hamilton will have been at Mercedes for 11 years when he retires, your point? Vettel only left RB because he already has 4 titles. Why do you care about what teams a driver wants to be on
Looking forward to how this deal turns out. Keep up the good work.
"Monster" new Red Bull Racing contract - cheeky!
Any driver can be bought out of any contract. That's always been the case.
The hypocrisy of Redbull never ceases to astound me! They accused Hamilton as holding F1 to ransom with his wage....What's the difference now!?
hypocrisy they learned from hamilton. I wonder how angry ham is now cos a white man earns more from him.
@@0megalul309 He doesn’t though. Maybe in terms of salary. But, not when you count sponsors and endorsements.
Whatsup is easy. Either they pay the same or Toto comes knocking when Hamilton retires.
@@0megalul309 Not really Hamilton gets basically the same salary from the Mercedes F1 team. Then add to that the fact Hamilton has infinitely more endorsement deals with big companies. You know Hamiton is actually marketable unlike Verstappen who has the personality of a dish cloth. For examples the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Puma, Monster Energy, IWC, Sony, Petronas. Realistically Hamilton probably earns $100m a year from his Mercedes salary and endorsements from those listed companies. So if we are being factual Hamilton probably earns $30-$50m more per year than Verstappen so why would he be bitter. You need to get your facts straight.
@@0megalul309 Funny you should mention a pink man. Given that the cap was introduced because of Hamilton, it's funny you should ask such a question.
But the real deal were already made with Micheal Massi, and FIA.

How much do you have to be paid to drink a Red Bull? 55 Million I guess. Man that is bad stuff....
After re-watching Max's 2016 Brazil drive (which was the REAL masterclass Brazil drive), a kind of drive I'd not seen in my 2 decades of watching F1, I'd say he deserves this deal and more.

@@metrofilmer8894 Sentance fragment much? The Race always plays down Max despite Max never finishing below 2nd in a normal race.

Barely any noise after the controversial races in UK and Bahrain, and without those Lewis victories Max would have been dozens of points ahead.

4 different second drivers in 4 years, and 2 in a single season.
Wasn't Max the one complaining about Hamiltons high salary
Nope it was Dr Marko Franz Tost and others
Seeing the skill he has, it's a smart move, he is still getting better.
RBR and Max are like a brotherhood . They bond perfectly with one another . Max imo will be the standout driver on the grid particularly once Lewis and Fernando do actually retire.
I think Lewis has a lot of years left. He is still driving really well and Kimi is an example of a driver that didn't retire till much later. I think Lewis will most likley choose to retire as a result of other intrests than be forced out from not driving well enough. Fernando is also an extremly good driver BTW.

Red bull from 2005-2013- had like 8 different drivers, and three different engines (Costworth, Ferrari and Renault)
Red bull 2016- replace Kyvat with Max
Red bull 2018- get Toro Rosso to switch to Honda engines, looking to do the same in 2019
Red bull 2019- bring Gasly in and then swap him with Albon
Also switch to Honda engines
Red bull 2020- decide to get rid on Albon at the end of 2020
Horner in the interview with The Race- " We like continuity" 🤔
Yeah they “like” continuity, not they HAD continuity, if you’re vying to be at the top of the pecking order, sacrifices have to be made.
Pierre was fumbling at RB, he got replaced, Albon struggled in 2020, he got replaced.
Perez gave RB a real shot at the constructors before he got yeeted in Hungary and Saudi Arabia

Redbull is securing Max not necessarily for his performance but also for his marketability. He's a dominant brand himself now.
He's the first driver in what, 5 years to break a dominant streak of a reigning world champion. He's a real progidy based on his previous gigs. His no bullshit personality is refreshing cos it stands out from drivers who are over trained for media interviews (looking at you George). Max's aggressive personality has worked in his favour because a lot of people love drama on the grid.
That top-tier humor at the intro...
"..has a MONSTER new REDBULL contract" Hats off mate😂😂😂
Love some of the comments here…..people praising how good Max is and he fully deserves pay (55mil) same people criticised Lewis last season for 40mil….only difference is one is a 7 time champ (could have been 8 time champ) and another one is Safety car champ….and the same people suggest there is no discrimination in the world
Mwaaa little hamilton cryboy
It's not a surprise. The biggest question is- in this team who will be his team mate & for how long?
All good things come to an end at some point, indeed. Then the same good things come back. All the best to Max for the future.
Amazingly enough, before Max signed this deal, the most earning Dutch sporters were baseball players. (First soccer player I believe at place 6)
Baseball salaries are ridiculous. Its not even the top sport in America and it doesn’t have the reach of say football (aka soccer).
Well, everybody has seen the Merc success, and what longterm deals can do. They hope to do the same with Verstappen. But they have a big problem. Now everyone know who is the number one driver in RB, now and to 2028.. that might scare drivers to join RB.🙃
But some older experienced drivers who never had a chance in good team, like Checo, will join. He knew that he will be a wingman but he knew that he will be able to win a GP.

These mega deals are odd. I get having a seat guaranteed is good and that contracts can be bought out if needed, but this seems like it’s much better for Red Bull than Verstappen.
