      The criteria is that either you're ahead of or right behind Max, if you're not you're gone, though Checo defies this by being a great team member with proven speed. Albon is lucky he wasn't parked immediately after practically crying on radio, he doesn't belong in F1. Gasly now has a RED BULL team built around him, DK dug his own grave though is certainly better than Yuki.

      To be fair, that seat will be toxic for anyone wanting a championship challenge. Perez looks like the team player Webber they never had. He is probably as quick, but without the hassle. • @chrisccc22
      @chrisccc22 2 роки тому +8

      This new deal makes sure he never wins a championship. He'll have to be the best wingman in the business. That being said....It's his holding off Hamilton that won Max the championship. He did his part and that is why he has the seat for next year.

      @@chrisccc22 I would say Hamilton’s uncharacteristic mistakes in Baku and Monaco with Latiffi’s crash in Abu Dhabi and the whacky decisions afterwards that won Max the championship. And the fact that every race he didn’t have an issue he didn’t finish below 2nd.
      Perez did great defending in Abu Dhabi that gave Max a chance, but he couldn’t take advantage of it. I would argue his defence in Turkey was more impressive. Overall I don’t see why he should have ended up behind Bottas. Even if the car over the season was slightly slower than the Merc, I would have rated Checo as someone who could overcome that deficit.

    With driver salaries being an exception to the cost cap, I can see driver salaries only going up now

    Whaou... considering he got a controversial Title.
    So Team Horner, Marco, Crashstappen and his father will remain together to continue theirs sneaky behaviours.
    Poor Sergio !
    Let's hope the new rules won't allow him to push other drivers out.

      As soon as you said “Crashstappen” your opinion isnt valid anymore as you have resorted to petty name calling

    What does this tell us, what we already know Marco is a big hypocrite, it's bad that Lewis is on the sort of money that they Reb Bull are now agreeing to pay Max, these people have no shame and mainly when it comes to the only black man in F1, quite laughable 🤔

    These mega deals are odd. I get having a seat guaranteed is good and that contracts can be bought out if needed, but this seems like it’s much better for Red Bull than Verstappen. Red Bull didn’t have the best car by the end of the year and very nearly didn’t deliver either title, seems very early to tie to the team before even a lap of racing in the new regs. Loyalty isn’t as good as having the best car available.
