Is there anything to even talk about? Apart from having a good clickbait? If this happened to Pierre Gasly it would not have been a 10 minute video :) Yes i´ts Lewis Hamiltion, but he is just a human :)
I guess everyone is bored and they needed something to talk about and someone said "Hey. A racing driver has crashed during a testing. Let's talk about this." There is no other sensible explanation i can find to it.
Yes, we would like them to talk about something, but after the 8th time talking about every little thing Lewis and Ferrari have done, I'd rather they just not at all. But more than anything give us something from the other teams.
Don't complain. It's an F1 channel, they have to talk about F1 news. And it's the middle of the offseason so there's literally nothing else to talk about in F1 right now.
The larger news should be how Ferrari mishandled this by making a thing out of it when it definitely wasn't. Yeah as Ed said - driver crashes new car in testing, aka the sky is blue. I'd he more concerned if he didn't crash frankly.
So this is going to be play-by-play reporting of everything that is going on with Lewis and Ferrari? BREAKING NEWS!!: Ferrari session has been stopped because Lewis had to go to the loo. BREAKING NEWS!!: Lewis has changed his mind. In fact, he's not going to the loo! He's just stretching his legs. Ohhhh, the twists and turns of Lewis-Ferrari relationship. This will hamper their season in a big big way. How long will Fred Vasseur tolerate this petulant behavior? We are already hearing from our Ferrari insiders that two camps are forming inside the team.
Jesus, a racing driver crashed in testing....BIG DEAL?!?!? I think it's good. Shows he is still the same Hamilton, not afraid to push a car to its limits (and sometimes past the limit)
"Lewis Hamilton's first Ferrari F1 crash and next steps explained" What a title, as if they're going to sanction him for having a completely normal pre-season testing crash. Will we get such a video every time someone else crashes?
Oh silly little boy. He didnt win the championship in 2007 after his pre season crash. You sound so confident but know so little that you must be one of the little boys who discovered F1 through Netflix
@eoincassin4265 You're SUCH an ignorant who lacks reading comprehension because he EXPLICITLY SAID "next year", that means both 2008 and 2014 when he crashed in pre-season testing in 2007 and 2013.
The next year, not the same year. Crashed in 2007 testing, won in 2008. Crashed in 2013 testing, won in 2014. These are just superstitious mumbo jumbo, anyway. However know your stuff before trying to look smart
I was having some race tuition once with a proper racing driver once and managed to spin the car 3 times on one lap. I turned to my instructor and apologised. He simply laughed and shrugged his shoulders before saying “ to be able to drive fast you have to find the limit and you never find the limit without binning the car a few times” - sage words indeed.
Hamilton had a crash, quite a big one, on his first official test as a McLaren driver in 2007. It probably wasn't good for the team, having to rebuild the car, but it helped him to understand the limits of the car sooner. It paved the way for a ridiculously consistent season in his rookie year, 9 podiums in his first 9 races, ultimately missing the World Championship at the first attempt by 1 point. Does this mean he'll repeat the feat with Ferrari this year? Not necessarily, he will have a better feel for the limit in the Ferrari than he did before
Bro, give it a rest! We don't need to know every single thing Lewis does at Ferrari. At this rate you're going to do a 10 minute video on the first toilet Lewis clogged at Ferrari before the first race.

Nice to see that '23 Ferrari base livery again. I feel like it was massively slept-on. Kind of got overshadowed by their one-off liveries for Monza and Vegas. If I have any critique it's that the personalized number fonts for each driver's home race should've been on the cars for the entire season. They both looked so much better than the default number font they used for 2022-23.

I hope Lewis does horrible at Ferrari. Hear me out. I don't think the car or the driver is enough to dominate I think it takes a wonderful team to back up a great driver with an awesome car to win championships. Lewis didn't win at Mercedes because they had the most dominant car. Mercedes did not win multiple championships in a row because they had Lewis. It was a case of best car with the best driver. That's why they were dominant. But everybody is quick to say that the car/driver is the only reason for the championship. There's no doubting Lewis is world class and if he does not go good at Ferrari then that shows some drivers are meant for some cars.
I’d his reaction to the crash was just annoyance that this would become a big news story. Like when Antonelli crashed, it’s fine really it’s just annoying how much buzz it causes
I'd rather he finds the car's limit now, even if it means crashing it and then dialing it back a little afterwards to find the absolute limit. He needs to come in guns blazing this season to shut up his critics and have a real go at winning WDC 8. He crashed in testing at McLaren and Mercedes, so it's no big deal.
He's not even finding the car limit, he's just getting used to Ferrari procedures and overall feel. He can't find much limits driving a car that is two years old. The 2024 car alone was already different in performance. Leclerc himself said in 2023 that the car was "peaky", it had a tendency to lose the backend out of nothing.
Given his 2007 and 2013 crashes at new teams, it's quite something for a symmetry. If Lewis is the 2026 champion like he did in 2008 and 2014 in his second season with a new team, that would be a pretty remarkable coincidence indeed

Lewis has struggled to adapt to the new regulations, and will struggle with the Ferrari. While Max is constantly learning/training/practicing new cars in the sim, Lewis is old school and doesn't practice in the sim, and it shows. He will be Ferarri's #2, but we will all be rooting for him in the process. It could get ugly this season with the Tifosi, but will hopefully be remembered as a capstone for a legendary career.
