Notice the constant heart monitor sound with the consistent ping sound throughout but then it ends. She’s dead to him or their relationship is dead. Totally metaphorical.
Love you two! You guys are spot on, it's a metaphor for that relationship. Most of his videos are metaphors, except for "How could you leave us", btw, bring the tissues for that one!
It's a metaphor! Relationship = car crash Her pulling on the steering wheel could mean that she started pulling away from their relationship but also giving him mixed signals = causing the crash!❤
NF had a girlfriend back home in Michigan and they tried the long-distance thing for a while while NF was trying to start his career. You will hear about 3 to 4 songs in the NF Journey that go back to this relationship.
We reacted to one from the last album that was about the long distance relationship issue (I think it's called Wait); I wasn't sure if this was also about that same relationship or not.
@@DadDaughtersandDrinks Yep. Same relationship. He even has a song on his newest album, Hope about this relationship called Gone. It is not part of the journey so you could listen to that one now.
Idk why or if you’re aware of it or not but in several of your videos including this one there are hiccups in your audio. It’s very distracting. I like your reactions just trying to be helpful cause I’m sure there are some people that are bothered enough by it to just stop watching and that would be a shame
Thank you for calling that out. We've definitely had some issues in the past that I've been trying to work through; I thought I had it worked out in this one and just went back and watched the whole thing and didn't notice any issues (other than a couple of spots where we legitimately might have just been talking too quietly). Maybe I missed something though - is there a timestamp you can call out where it's happening so I can watch and see how to fix it? Realistically, we should just move to using headphones; a lot of the sound issues have come from trying to prevent our speaker from getting picked up in the mic.
@ at a family event now but I’ll watch it back later and try to time stamp it. Also you may be right, in this one it was different than before and not as bad as some have been sounded about like when you’re talking on a phone and someone accidentally puts a finger over the mic for a moment
This video the audio isn’t bad I was primarily just pointing it out because I heard it randomly and recalled hearing it a lot on some of your earlier videos I just never wanted to say anything not knowing if it would come off as rude…
It’s a metaphor for their relationship going off the rails. But the conversation between you two was priceless.

I did notice that sound during the chorus, but I couldn't quite place what it was - thanks for clarifying!
Yeah, first serious relationship, high school kinda thing like you mentioned. Car crash = Metaphor for sure.
She was the one who messed with the steering wheel.
Been going through withdrawals! Welcome back! Appreciate you both!
Thank you so much!!

It did not happen, Jeremy is correct, a metaphor for the relationship crashing....

Got it. Thanks again! Maybe I should spend more time watching audio calibration videos :-)
