Some things to note about this level: 1.) The name of this level is actually spelled TH3 SH4DY GR3Y, but that's not a big deal to me personally, and I prefer just typing "the Shady Grey" anyway. 2.) The only known entrance to the Shady Grey is Level 71, also known as the Void Basement, which is an infinite basement with the same black and white effect. Level 71's only known entrance is through a basement on Level 4 (The Abandoned Office), but the only known exit of Level 71 is (you guessed it) the Shady Grey. It's unknown why the fallen angels in Level 2Two freak out when you mention this level to them, but it clearly has a connection. 3.) When SwiftBit says that the level is highly unexplored due to the Landlord entity, they're still talking about Level 1One (the glitchy mansion) and not Level 2Two. The mansion is barely explored because you have to GTFO before the Landlord kills you. 4.) The article does say the fallen angels in Level 2Two have blue robes, but it never explains how anyone knows this. And considering it emphasizes repeatedly that the Shady Grey is in black and white, I don't think this is a mistake. So either the angels' robes are a notable exception and actually appear blue, or the M.E.G has some unknown means to figure out they're blue. 5.) Level 3Three has islands which the locals live on, and speedboats which they use to travel around. The article doesn't mention how speedboats are here, but it's the Backrooms and this is a place that has random clocks floating around in an ocean of water, mercury, and motor oil, so not the weirdest thing. 6.) If the other things listed in the video about Level 4Four weren't bad enough, the water in the river on Level 4Four is unsafe to drink. It won't straight up kill you, but it will be very unpleasant for your digestive system. 7.) There are three other known sublevels of the Shady Grey: L0ST H0P3, 2 F4R, and TH3 3ND. L0ST H0P3 is a very unstable version of Level 2 (the level with the pipe tunnels) that feels wobbly, drains hope from you, and eventually causes you to disintegrate into atoms while somehow still being conscious afterwards. 2 F4R is where you end up after being atomized by L0ST H0P3 and almost nothing is known about it. TH3 3ND just looks like red-orange flames (another exception to the lack of colour in the Shady Grey) and has a really cryptic message about fading into the void and fading into the Shady Grey.

Great video man. You are probably the first who depicts The Shady Gray's environment and nature at its fullest, with not just a couple of images or small videos, but with an actually "playable"-like world. Good job!
The quality, editing and visuals of this video are awesome. This channel is incredibly underrated and I'm so glad that you're back, keep going with these amazingly done backrooms videos! :)
They didn't say "Level 2 is highly unexplored". They said "This section is highly unexplored due to the danger of the Landlord entity". The Landlord entity that is in Level 1. They're saying Level 1 is highly unexplored.
A friend recommended this video to me. Normally I would oppose videos like this as it really just opens gateways for what I call “horror for babies” content. Though I’m proud to say this video is very well done and enjoyed the visuals and editing that went into this. Very well done Side note; not a fan of the tts voice but I’ve heard it used in worse ways so not a big deal
What I like about the Shady Grey is that there's always a catch to everything, making it really feel like you've landed in some kind of hell. 0Zero is perfectly safe...until it becomes nighttime. 1One is a cozy mansion...that has glitchy furniture that can cause you to glitch out, as well as a murderous Landlord entity wandering around. 2Two is a peaceful snowy forest....that is so hot that it can kill you via heatstroke, and even the fallen angels (the only truly friendly entities you'll ever encounter in the Shady Grey) can turn violent if you just happen to mention Level 71. 3Three is an infinite ocean which has people living on it and has actual drinkable water, except the water also has mercury and motor oil mixed in, and people living on the sublevel has watch wars with each other. 4Four is a city similar to Level 11....except everything about it is terrible from top to bottom.
5:28 btw. About them hating level 71. Heres why. So level 71 is the void basement and thats where you enter th3 sh4dy gr3y. And theyre in th3 sh4dy gr3y
The legend returns! I only really know about this level from Uncanny Mr Incredible videos about The Backrooms but I really didn't actually know pretty much anything about the level itself, so this was a really informative video. I do think some of it's lore is a bit silly (the clock sea is cool from a visual standpoint but the idea but the idea there's a lot of people in there shooting at each other with wristwatches and throwing grandfather clocks at each other is just dumb, plus it's a bit lame that the sea isn't safe to enter, which makes you wonder how people get around the sublevel). Also curious as to how one is supposed to survive the first area if it gets dark. Luck?
How is one supposed to survive the first area when it gets dark? The answer is you don't. So far, no-one has survived the "night" on Level 0Zero. That's why it's important to draw the pentagram and get out of the sublevel before it switches to "night".
@@MagcargoMan The reason there is intel is that M.E.G (the explorer group in the Backrooms mentioned occasionally in this video) deliberately sends people into the Shady Grey to check it out, and they maintain contact with them until they die to something. This happened with one explorer who met the Landlord (that's how they know what he does to people) and it happened with another explorer who stuck around a bit too long in 0Zero. The M.E.G even has one outpost with 3 people on 2Two and another outpost on 3Three on one of the islands there (yes, that sublevel has islands, believe it or not). But the 3Three outpost wasn't anywhere near easy to set up, as the video points out, and even the people in that outpost are a threat to newcomers because they're paranoid of the watch-wielding maniacs.
Imagine having this as a modpack. But the thing that impresses me the most is the motivation he has to do all of the videos this good without even getting properly paid. How doesn't he gain more subscribers or shout-outs?
I did see a random greek/roman style pillar in Level 2two, this was only after I cut down a tree to make a hut, I got knocked out, and teleported to the base of the pillar. It seems to go down infinitely into the ground.
ehi man, sorry if i am disturbing right now but i may have a nice idea for a next video to come: level 777, it has really lots of mysteries and i would love to hear you talking about it! nice video (as always), take care!
I’m just asking a question that do the watches actually work in other levels and the front rooms? If yes then partygoers would had been extinct 10 years ago
Also, level 5five does exist, and as far as we can tell so far, it seems to be in Sepia instead of Monochrome, and is in the middle of a field with modern skyscrapers in the distance. Attempting to breathe in this level will cause you to teleport to level 5, or level 1one, therefore it is unexplored
