Backrooms was supossed to be an infinite liminal space with something lurking around. Nowadays you see "Level !-!-!-!-!x4352345+1.532469420 (most dangerous backrooms level!), once entering it 10 scarlet smilers (ancient smilers) will spawn around you!" which ruins the whole point of the backrooms.
