  • Many artists use or combine everyday objects to challenge assumptions about what constitutes “art” and how it should be made. Learn how Marcel Duchamp, Meret Oppenheim, and Robert Rauschenberg did the same with a bicycle wheel and a stool, a teacup, and a bed.

I love these videos. I had heard of Marcel Duchamp but never realized what he had accomplished, so I appreciate learning more about him and his impact on the arts. I have often been fascinated by the intrinsic art of everyday objects as well as the beauty of basic engineering marvels. It's good to understand this art form better. Thanks for producing these videos.

I love art, but I'm more of a sketch/drawer than I am painter or mosaic and other arts,I love the series though!

Hi MoMA, thank you, this is very sweet of you to let me know. I like the series a lot, I only wish it had Russian subtitles so that more people in my country learn what modern art is actually about. Keep up the good work!
