This is so lovely. I love seeing the joy in Mrs Wye as she guides you through, you can tell she loves Louises work and is so happy to be there! Thank you for this video :) from a swede who couldn't afford to be there myself!
Wow, I love that she is so genuinely enthusiastic and cares very much about Louise Bourgeois and her art and her presence and emotions. What an absolutely excellent exhibition. I love the inclusion of the recording of Louise singing the song when you enter, and the point the assistant made about how she probably made all of those old clothes into sculptures so they would never be thrown away. I never knew about the connection between her and Le Corbusier! Wonderful!!
Thank you for this great video: I knew almost nothing about LB and Deborah Wye explained some prints and other work really well. We can't all travel round the world to see art work and to be able to learn from home is very valuable to me and so many others, thank you MOMA.
This is fascinating - we were just there waiting for my husband to finish the NYC marathon so we were far more rushed than I would have liked; this really helps me understand what I just saw, so thank you!
Thank you for these videos! When you live in rural areas, as I do, and am an artist in the desert Southwest, your videos are giving so many a real eye into the artists, their visions and history.
This is an excellent presentation, and I also feel I've learned a lot about the artist. One quibble - the person who did the writing that appears on the screen used the word addition instead of edition in one spot. It's correct in all the others.
I met her! She was the Coolest Octegenarian back then..! She didn't care what ANYONE thought! That's what made her so sucessful! In 1978 she was the last of The Bauhaus!
Sounds more like the politics of the Museum Of Modern Art and the prestigious works of the upper class which are heavy with dialogues and narratives for each piece... Amazing!
Unpretentious, genuine engagement, and with a most-personable former curator--so rare to witness. Why did you let her retire?
The curators at the MOMA are wonderful people. These ‘How to see’ videos are really enlightening. Thank you:)

What a lovely introduction! You brought Louise Bourgeois to life, Ms. Wye.

KITSCH of the highest order. How can a serious curator take this work seriously!!!
Does anyone know where I might be able to access the full recording of Louise that plays in the entrance of the exhibition?
