They are very much on the loud side but, what a sound, music to my ears and the biggest grin factor out. Certainly causes crowds to gather. At the Norton Festival in June 2014 I put a megaphone to the silencer, well that brought the crowds!!!!
Yes, I have one and love the sound. However a very basic baffle in her also makes the bike still sound fantastic but does not mess with your ears. Stuart Garner and Simon Skinner certainly got the grin factor right for best sounding bike!
Hey mate. Been riding around cardiff about 6 years, and never ever seen a Norton. Domiracer / Dominator Street my dream bikes and this looks pretty damn close, I will have to BEG you can I come listen to it sometime pleeeeeeeeeease?
Yes mate, I’ll be happy to. Got stuff on the next couple of weeks but maybe we can meet up for a ride beginning of July? Evening after work, or at the weekend is best for me, we can nip up to Baffle Haus if you like. What do you ride?
@@NortonUnofficial sounds awesome mate! Been watching a few of your videos. I ride a Street triple at the mo, will probably keep that and one day get a Norton if I can ever afford one. Do you use your cardo to record voice for your vids? Planning a solo trip down to France in the next few weeks and thinking of making a video. I watched your guide hahah
There is a Harley somewhere around here with straight through pipes. It's way way too noisy and gets annoyed glances. I have 2 bikes but both are baffled and no-one looks twice.
I do like the sound a lot with the baffles in. It was CA convinced me to take them out again. Peer pressure! I’ll do a side by side comparison in the next few weeks, but in the long run yes, baffles back in! 👍🏻
@@NortonUnofficial Yeah the rules are so blurry some bikes can ride some not if the bike runs stationary the limit is 95 DBa that's okay but 75 DBa riding and 98 DBa stationary not and some bikes are not allowed on some roads at all
Too much bad noise even not suitable for the race track, so for the road it must also be illegal. You must a special person enjoying this noise while there are many really annoyed by it!

I live in the USA!! We love loud pipes!! I’d keep the baffles OUT!!!
I now have the option to ride with or without baffles. Either way is loud 😎 Greetings from Wales 🏴

Absolutely. The bike always gets loads of attention when I fire her up at a meet.
@@NortonUnofficial Yes an unbelievably fantastic, out of this world sound, like a works race bike but even better!
I had a BSA A10 with 2 into 1 downtube, no silencer or baffles. It was like speedway bikes at Wimbledon in the early 1970s
Awesome! I’d love to have a classic bike like that

I agree. The baffles are going back in. It sounds great without them in, and is fine once in a while for a show or something, but not all the time.
Could you do one of your neighbour's reaction after getting up early over the course of a year?
Baffles back in …. For your ears & us 10 miles at 11pm … the bike is solid on style alone
Baffles are in mate 👍🏻 and it still sounds great
A loud pipe means cars can hear you are there and they are less likely to cut you up, knock you off the bike.
That is true. And cars can hear those pipes from miles away!
I've been out with you........
TOO LOUD!! 😬
Put the baffles in please?! 🙏

@@NortonUnofficial my ears will forever be grateful 🙏
Do not try in the Netherlands Ostrich or Germany they have loud noise measurement advice on the side of the roads
Thanks, good to know. There is discussion about the same coming in the UK.

It seems to be playing some bland muzak all the time, maybe go back to pipes that don't play libary muzak.
Far too loud, round town.
I agree. I do try to minimise riding it around town and always keep the revs down when I do have to ride through urban areas.
