  • On July first, the trip went to Billings MT to return on July 6-2021.
I thought I film a bit on preflight on the duties we have. I did not want to bore you with a full walk around so we filmed a few of the extras before we headed up in the thin sky @ FL450.
I began flying my first Learjet (25D) in 1993, and progressed through the line 31A in the mid 90's and our first 45 in 2001.
The we launched the 70 line for Learjet in 2013 , and now have a 2005 model 45XR. They are high performance sport cars and whilst they don't have the vertical room that the other light jets have it more than makes up for that in performance and efficiency. This is a 2005 model with original pain and interior, and even as it is a legacy jet, it is predictable, works well and climb to FL450 in 20 minutes. I love my job.
    Please enjoy.

@@ebrabaek I’m hyper focused on it. Absorbing as much information as I possibly can. Before I even get my intro flight in. I want to be prepared. Me and a friend are both going to go to the same ground school here in Ontario Canada. Simcoe Regional Airport. Amazing video. It inspires me

@mikesmicroworlds4566 there are several on my channel that you may like. We are currently in Billings with the plane but will return Friday. Saturday morning we will be heading to Ketchikan AK for a week. I plan on filming that as well.

DO NOT tow the 45 with the cabin door open!!!

With your recommendation would you kindly point to where in the AFM the note, caution or warning would indicate that being the case?

It’s there. You need to look up the ground handling instructions.
CAUTION: ENSURE THAT EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR AND LOWER PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IS CLOSED AND LATCHED WHEN TAXIING OR TOWING THE AIRCRAFT. THIS IS TO AVOID POSSIBLE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL OR EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR DAMAGE.

    • @ebrabaek
      @ebrabaek  6 місяців тому +1

@hirobowen with respect..... it is not in neither the AFM, PM or PTM for that matter.
You are quoting the FAA approved Maint manual for the Learjet 45. In fact Chapter 9-10-00 page 204 also, in addition to what you stated that one must put a person in the cockpit during nose gear towing.
Nothing however mentioned in the FAA approved AFM which is our governing body available to operators of this fine flying machine.
Back in 1996, I think it was, Learjet published a SIL that guided the general operation of towing the Learjet family of aircrafts. It stated that one should always close all doors as a precaution before towing. That has been adapted in large as a good guidance. We're we to pull the aircraft further than 50 feet straing out of our hanger then we will off course close the door, but my point is that unless it is in the AFM, even PTM, QRH, then it must not be that important as I assure you the amount of lawyers involved in writing procedures to protect people, aircraft or environment is perhaps a bit heavy and I'm sure it would be in there.
There is however nothing wrong with closing the door lower and upper should you choose to do so and I tip my hat to you sir for duediligently doing so.

change your frame rate and the flickering will go away stay awa from the front POV Cam and put it behind you so we can see ypur flight from a passenger POV please I might subscribe if you do that

    • @ebrabaek

It is not that simple. Frame rate is easy but @4K/30 it finds the tracking fairly fast. The front camera is not capable at 4K/60. After doing quite a lot of studies of where to mount the cameras the two locations were the only ones that would work . We did do a test run with it behind us, even though it would interfere in Cockpit egress, and the camera could not quite figure out the white balance and it would chase outside vs inside light. So it was decided to use two cameras. Unfortunately the inside is a very old Hero 1 that records on 1080P only.
