@BeccaL2016 You need to look with no ambient light (over lake) Looked like hazy vertical streaks or bands in the sky, they change shape & intensity over time but don't dance. As the other reply said folks were using their phone cameras to bring out the color in these bands. Looked better through a phone, which I don't have. Seen some nice pictures, said were most vibrant around 9:30-10:30.
@@CSmith-gb1sl When I used the iphone camera and adjusted it to the night mode,(if not, then it was black) took a picture, I can see some sort of green vertical streaks, I could have tried it when it was the peak time..
@@BeccaL2016 I was trying to see to if anyone seen colorful ones without the aid of a camera or phones. I had nice film cameras but never went into the digital age or got a phone. Nice view over the dark lake but not colorful without enhancement, I thought Id occasionally seen a greenish tint, but nothing to write home about, though some of the pictures folks were taking at my location I was viewing looked great.
Judgemental much? Really people! She is doing a great job explaining our magnetic field and the solar storm coming and how it creates the northern lights....how's about focusing on the content of what she is saying instead of being so shallow to critique her outfit!
Great job explaining how this works. ❤ thank you
1:17 am Dayton Ohio. I see nothing but the usual cloud cover here. Oh well I saw Northern Lights in Southern KY about a decade ago. It was wonderful.
The NOAA maps looked better for Saturday night into Sunday. This can't surpass last months Eclipse though!
I agree, but will probably be the only time I ever get to see something like this In my life.
@@MarkARoutt OK Seen them over the lake, cross that off the bucket list.
Thanks Hollie
Don't bother explaining the science, two thirds of the audience won't understand it or will say it's fake
I didn’t know about this til I seen everyone in Ohio posting it will I be able to see the 11? :(
Does anyone know where could be some good spots to view the Aurora tonight?
Wondering to!
Miamisburg ohio near mound
Looking north over the lake?
Hollie knows about seeing pretty lights after dark. 👍
I didn't see anything, the sky is black as it can get
If you go to your camera mode on your phone and you can turn it on to night-and take pics. It is not visible to the eye right now😊
@@LeslieJones-g2u Tried that, didn't see it

Should be far more beautiful than the eclipse....
That eclipse was the most stunning thing I seen in the sky n my time, & I have seen Satellite launches from the cape.
Jeans?
Well Kramer wore jeans.
Jeans are fine...just lose the belt or untuck. Looks like a costume
