If you ever read this, I just wanted to say thank you. I've been trying to learn how to play the guitar for like a decade at this point, and I struggle a lot with self-confidence and stuff like that. I watch your channel since before the couch, and I might not watch everything all the time, but every now and then I learn something from you. I can't really put it into practice because my motor skills aren't the best, but I just wanted to say thank you for making me believe in myself a bit more

Amazing guitar!!! Thanks for all the videos over the years. I've been playing for over a decade now, and I'm pretty sure you've been right there alongside me the whole way. I can't tell you how many times I've had to put your lessons down, and come back to them later, when I was more experienced. 😂
My favorite so far, out of all the things you've done, has been If I Only Had a Brain, it sounds so beautiful if you play it slowly, like you said!
Anyway, thanks a million! If I had the opportunity to request a song, it would probably be Surfer Girl, by the Beach Boys. I know it's not a super popular song now-a-days, but it is an awesome song, and I KNOW you'd make an amazing arrangement.

Hello, I was looking for your most recent video and could only find this 8 month old one, so like others here, I hope you are okay and doing well. I wanted to ask you if you could help me with learning and Old 1961 song by the Machucambos called "Pepito". On youtube it's under the title "Los Machucambos "Pepito" (1961) HQ Audio!" (posted 12 yrs ago) which is in color and a B/W one titled "Los Machucambos - Pepito (1961)" (posted 1 year ago) both show a little of what both the Guitarists are doing while she's singing. Video is slowed down slightly in the as the song is supposed to be slightly faster paced. First heard it when I was around 9 or 10 years old, and it's still one of the most Beautiful arrangements I've ever heard. It was a big international hit back in 1961, but since it's a foreign song, it's kind of been forgotten. Anyway, I've tried to figure out what they are doing but I can't get the Rythm/pattern down. I see where the fingers are, but except for some general chords from one of the guitarists, I can't exactly play what they are playing. I'm hoping that with your playing ability, you might be able to figure it out as I was very impressed with your old "Tequilla" lesson video. If you can figure that one out with finger style you played it in, then I thought to myself, if anyone can figure this "Pepito" song out, it's you.

Since it was a music festival that was attacked I checked the list of casualties from a government website. His name was not on the list for there or any other locations. I think something tragic must have happened here for him to just disappear. I also checked the hostage list. Nothing. It's odd that no one from his real life has come by to give us an update. Was he really this isolated? No family and friends were aware of his channel?
It’s very odd, i checked too. And at least his wife knew of his channel. Its possible he’s been recruited back to the military however I feel that if that was the case he would still post a video with sign of life or something
@@ludvanbeethoven1 Agreed. No way he would abandon the "Lick n Riffers" like this. At this point I am just hoping for closure. I was just a casual student. Popping in for a song here and there... but it still makes me feel a bit emotionally connected to the channel.
I am on his email list. He sent an email May 5th saying he’s burnt out and need a break from UA-cam. He’s doing 1on1 lessons and planning a live master class.
