Hosam Elshazly you're right, I'm the same way
I'm mastering the R pronunciation !!! I'm feeling good about it. It is something for me to be proud of!!!
04:14
the key moment to learn the position of the tongue.
This is what I never found in other tutorials.
Thanks
As someone born in Canada and very familiar with North American English as my first language, I must say that you are an expert on pronunciation. As I watch your vidoes, it makes me realize all these little things I do subconsciously to create the words and intonation and pacing. I try out your suggestions, but find that I am already doing those things because I naturally learned them as a child I guess.
It's fascinating though, and you have clearly got a knack for explaining the intricacies of the English language to those who are trying to learn the language.
I come from Spanish speaking country and I tend to emphasize the letter "R" instinctively, it is truly amazing how my R pronunciation got much better . Thank you Hadar 🌹
Albert Garcia to be honest, from your picture I thought that you are Korean (Asian)
Hadar, you're such a wonderful teacher! I just wanted to let you know how special and appreciated you are by many of us.🙌
Thank you from Algeria 🇩🇿🙏💖
Oh my goodness 😂!!! My amazing teacher thanks a lot about teaching us the English language 😅
The best teacher I've ever met! Love from Brazil too!
Oh my goodness!!! I'm not native English speaker but I'm learning more from you my amazing teacher
Thank you so much for this, Hadar. I'm a native of Brazilian Portuguese speaker and since we DO use the R like Americans do in the state where I grew up, I had never thought about how difficult this could be for people that come from other parts of Brazil. Apart from that, people from my state/culture/linguistic variation are often referred to as "rednecks", which means a kind of prejudice that I think is also in the way for my students to reproducing this specific sound correctly.
Yes it's the same in Romanian, the Latin R is a vibration sound. It's hard to teach my children my children sometimes how to revert back to saying the Latin R. Trestie. Brajiu. I noticed you guys have a lot of the J sound pe limba Portugeza, but heard it's very different than the Lizbona, Portugeza.
So much fun! You are hilarious and exuberant. I get motivated more and more to pronounce better so that I can communicate with native speakers freely and confidently. Thanks a lot.
The amount of love I feel towards you after watching this video is unmeasurable 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Gracias por tanto 😭🤍🤍🤍
Aww thank you and sending love back!

Your method of pronounce r from l and g, is brilliant!
This is the first helpful video about "R" sound I met.
🙌
A great teacher, lots of love from Canada
Yes, it does exist in another 'language': Brazilian Portuguese. People from some regions of the States of São Paulo, Goiás and Minas Gerais tend to use this R sound. It's the main characteristic of those accents. Anyways, great video! Thanks a lot!
wow! this is so helpful! thank you!
Awesome!!
Thank so much for helping. Congrats.

I love your videos, they've helped me a lot. I feel more confident now when I'm speaking. Greetings from Venezuela!
So happy to hear. Thank you!
Hadar you're probably one of the best in the world with what you're doing. That means in history as well, as such kind of approaches that you use today simply didn't exist 20-30 years ago. Ok, they did exist but they weren't popularized at all and were applied to advanced speakers in order to reset their pronunciation from the scratch (which is quite painful). Thank you very much, Hadar!
You put a huge smile on my face! Thank you so much ♥️
Thanks this helps a lot!

You're kind. Thank you ❤️
In Portuguese the dogs bark: AU AU 😊 And our R in the beginning of the words is open like the "h" sound.
Great video! I've learned a lot from your channel! That's my big big problem to make "R" sound
Thank you
that's the most helpful video on R
Lovely lovely lovely!
Great video 👍
The best explanation could give someone knows more than one language and today you can use typing by voice to check your pronunciation. If your "R" isn't recognized , you said something wrong. If Google translate does not recognize what you said, you can check it by typing the word in one window and selecting input by voice in another window. If it does not recognize what was played, that means something wrong with a program.
You know how to engage people Hadar!,,,❤️
Hi from Russian and thank you for a lesson! You have so nice voice! it was very useful for me.
good video and clear explanation. thaks
wow. i think I nailed it :) thank you :)

Hi,
Since I started to watch your lessons at UA-cam channel I improved my english pronunciations, all of things that I need, english language learner that I am. Thanks a lot
I am so thrilled to know and hear that!
Okay that's good!@@hadar.shemesh
Omg how wonderful you areeee
I’m about to master the American R sound I just gotta watch this video like 8 more times I know I’ll get it eventually tho :)) thanks Hadar
Hadar, I have watched that video hundred times and I finally got it:) i dont even know why it was so hard for me to pronounce r (iam from eastern europe) especially that my accent is pretty good.Your explanation helped a lot. Thank you
So happy to hear, Joanna. It's hard because we are so used to saying it a certain way and habits are hard to change. Also, the exact position of the American R is rather tricky, so you're not alone! Now practice it slowly in words, and then move on to short sentences. You can record yourself and listen to it to make sure you're using the new R. Good luck!!
Hadar, you are an excellent teacher. I have been watching your videos for a couple of weeks; thank you very much for what you do. Will you please help me on how to pronounce the words "differences" and "posture"
Hello Hadar, I laughed a lot at how to pronounce the R sound imitating the dog's bark........Thanks, my teacher.
الشكر لك
شُِڰـُـْـْـ🌺ـْـْـْرَاً
I like the way you find some interesting relation between vowels/consonants as you showed here. please give some more words/word pairs for practice
Thanks a lot..its so helpful...please more videos in this chanell
Sure!
been watching a few videos now on this topic and you're the first to actually help me with my issue! THANK YOU! my problem was that I didn't tense it up like you described with the fist at 02:14 . others failed to mention this completely or said "use some force with it or power" like huh, I don't even... now I at least understand what I'm supposed to do
That’s great to hear!!
it really works! Thank You sooo much! :D I finally understood what should happen in m mouth :D Wow its so amazing :D
Wow this makes me happy!
Hurry I got it 😜🙈🙈❤️❤️
Helpful for my learning English
Great!
You're best.
You are the best !!!
i've been thinking about the sound "r" (mainly because i got a kind comment from you on fb) and discovered that i actually come to vibrant "r" even if tip my tonhue dosn't touch anything =) the sound is more challenging that it seemed to be to me =)
When will you make next video about "R" sound? I look forward to it!
Hi, teacher! Excellent video! Thanks a lot. Bye for now.
The 'rrr' sound actually does exist in portuguese, more specifically in south of Brazil, where I live, which makes it much easier to pronounce. The R makes this sound when it's followed by consonant or in the end of a word. I love your videos, they've helped me a lot!
Oh really? I didn't know that.. I know that Portuguese has 2 r's- a trilled r and r that is produced in the throat.. At the same time I wasn't aware of the southern dialect.. Thanks for letting me know!
That´s right Marcus. The Brazilian Portuguese has the `American-like rrr` and also the trilled ´r´. And also other kinds of ´r´s´ like mine from BH , MG. It all depends on where you are from in Brazil.
емае реально😳 меня будто наконец осветил божественный свет
Thank you for such important videos. I learnd a lot wit it. Success!
Thanks!
Hi, Hadar, me again, from China.
You know what, I've learned and used English for almost 30 years, and I never sound /r/ right
For Chinese language, there is no sound that we need to pull tongue back towards throat. So I think maybe 99% English learners in China pronounce /r/ like this, roll the tip of tongue but not touch the upper palate, and pull the lips towards ears a little bit. After watching your video, I know that I should stain my tongue back to throat, and the outsides of the tongue touch insides of upper teeth, and lips make a circle. This is hard, my tongue felt exhausted.
More practice are definitely needed. I'll follow your videos. Thanks a lot!
thanx, it's been fun. :)
I like your videos very much.they are very helpful, thank you for making these videos.I also fond r sound very difficult, though I can pronounce the word red run,it seems that I can’t find the right way to pronounce the word rose .it’s always been difficult for me to say the word rose properly. I can do the r
sound and the o sound, but I just can’t combine them together.
