I don’t do that well with scary stuff. I don’t watch horror movies, I don’t go to haunted houses, and I don’t play horror games. Well...for the most part. There is one horror game series that I’ve always liked: Five Nights At Freddy’s. It’s unique, colorful, and way deeper than you initially expect. And over the years, I’ve had a pretty interesting history with this series. So from my days working on Game Theory to...whatever I’m doing now, these are some Confessions Of A Five Nights At Freddy’s Fan!

I'm hoping in like ten years when the content is officially done - assuming it ever ends at all - that someone does an entire sixteen-hour video or something akin explaining absolutely everything.
Fun Fact: That shot where Bonnie is staring directly at the camera is actually some sort of throwback to one of Scott's nightmare when making the game. He said that he had a nightmare where he was defending himself against Bonnie. Just a little fact.

While its true that he did have nightmares of Bonnie. I do believe that the camera frame, and secret boot up screen are references to the first placeholders jumps care for Bonnie. Which was just a static close up.
I may be wrong, and you may be right, but I do believe I heard what I previously mentioned quite a few times.

Admittedly, I'm in the exact same boat, I've seen tons of lets plays, done my deep diving into the lore, but when I tried playing FNAF 1 on mobile, I chickened out. I still get caught off guard on occasion if i'm absent minded-ly listening to a play-through in the background, the noises, they get to me sometimes.

I'm the same way. The only one I've played is UCN. At least I've gotten to 1000 points and got the first cutscene.
(I only got that through animatronics that won't kill me :/)
welp, because i've played and completed beaten some, I can say it is imposible to watch let's plays anymore, they are boring, after you play the games.

I've done something really similar. I basically haven't played ANY of the games except for a little bit of 2.
My cousin and I would trade off the ipad when ever one of us died. We also made a rule that if you caught the puppet in the act of leaving the box you got an 'extra life'; not really sure where that came from.
For anyone wondering, yes we did eventually catch the puppet in the act of leaving the music box.

Only the first 3 are pretty similar but even they are unique. After that each game is it’s own thing
The gameplay is very similar but the vibe is always very different which makes them feel unique.
It's confirmed that all the games might as well be form different entire universes

My first experience with five nights at Freddy’s was when I was maybe ten and my older brother showed me this captain sparkles video. He promised it wasn’t a scary game and urged me to watch it with him. I was extremely uneasy and kept asking him if he was sure it wasn’t scary but he swore. This was until Bonnie jump scared me and I jumped off the floor (moms a teacher and we were watching it on a school laptop in her classroom after school) and screamed for a solid 10 seconds at least. Of course now as a young adult who hit 18 last year I can say that I can watch those kinds of videos without fear but back then I avoided fnaf like the plague because of what that did to me😂. That was until junior high when I watched jacksepticeye play sister location. I was just beginning my battle with depression and those videos gave me something incredible… a good laugh in a time where laughter was rare. Hell it was a rare thing for me to even smile. What sprung from that was a love of this franchise and horror games as a whole that lives on to this day.

I've liked FNAF since I was 10 it's crazy to think it's Been so long.
Since I've seen my son lost to this monster man behind the slaughter.
I had a lot of similar feelings with fnaf but I've still followed every release excitedly (besides world and the mobile game), I still watch all the game theory videos and I'll check in on markiplier whenever a new game comes out, it's just so addictive. Having played a fair number of these with the nintendo switch versions... 1 is great played it only on mobile though, 2 is stressful but good on switch, 3 is just the worst but I adore the lore additions and springtrap, 4 is the anxiety inducer the game that breaks me everytime I attempt it, 5 is good... UNTIL NIGHT 4 WHICH I CANNOT GET PAST, 6 is good love the minigames but haven't attempted with animatronics yet and help wanted is my second favourite even though I played on switch :P

Fun fact: When FNAF Help Wanted VR came out, I bought it to try with my new Oculus Rift S, Night 3 of the first game Foxy ran in the room, and I freaked out and ran into my wall. I busted my head open, and needed 4 staples in my head. I never booted it up since. Not because I am afraid of the game, but because I am afraid of going back to the ER

@@dollydash7361 True, Fnaf 4 is really creepy. Although some of the animatronics like Plushtrap and Nightmare aren't that scary because Nightmare doesn't really have a jumpscare, and Plushtrap looks kinda dumb, the rest are really creepy looking and have scary jumpscares.

Laughter can be a reaction people have to being scared, after they're safe from the stress of being in a scary situation (even in games) they might have a laugh a little bit to relieve their stress.
Probably because he's been exposed to the fnaf 4, vr, and sister location jump scares which are actually legitimately scary so going back to googly eyes wobbling and stiff animations actually makes them look hilarious by comparison now

Even tho I don’t use this myself I actually appreciate someone compiling every jumpscare for ppl who need it. It’s very nice
Please note these are the only ones with the screaming sound effect from the original game in the video.
There are many other times where the animatronic just shows up on screen when Fofee (sp?) is talking over them so I suggest just treading lightly if that is enough to freak you out.

@@yunghung1856 I can handle scary stuff to an extent. My biggest hurdle is the Resident Evil series, strictly because I'm traumatized by Zombies... I literally cannot look at them for even a second or I pass out.

I don’t know what anyone is talking about when they say the FNaF 3 Springtrap jumpscare is underwhelming. Honestly, try staring Springtrap in the face for five seconds and tell me you’re not scared for your life. Then again maybe that’s just his design and the fact there’s a murderer possessing him instead of an innocent child.
I mean I see why people think his jumpscare is kinda weak but his design helps A LOT in making it scarier. no idea why people would think that is a valid reason to not like the game tho. If there is something about fnaf 3 that I don't like, is the fact that the only animatronics that are added through the nights are just phantoms, the game gets repetitive. well, I'm glad Scott tried to switch his game at least, too bad it didn't work.
Ah yeah, Springtrap is the one animatronic that's scares me to the core for some reason.
Fnaf 3 is only good because of its difficulty imo
One time when I was watching Game Theory's FNaF3 video and there was the jumpscare with Springtrap I just FROZE for 5 seconds because it was scary!
@@epicrandomperson5555 Yeah the whole vents thing was really cool, if I ever made a fangame with fnaf mechanics I'd use em. And I agree with you saying that there are so many things to keep an eye on, I still remember Markiplier still checking outside the doors because he was too scared of Springtrap just.. you know... being there. While the game still has its flaws I think it got too much hate for stupid reasons but hey, that's just my opinion. Gotta love Springtrap's backstory tho.
