Summary of the Report and Key Investment Questions on Moving Iran’s Capital to Makran The relocation of Iran’s capital from Tehran to the Makran region in Sistan and Baluchistan presents a historic opportunity for economic, social, and infrastructural development in the area. However, the success of this project requires meticulous planning and addressing key questions across various sectors. Below are the essential investment questions: Key Investment Questions: 1. Infrastructure Development • What are the government’s plans for developing essential infrastructure (e.g., roads, transportation, public utilities, telecommunications) in Makran? • What is the timeline and budget allocation for urban development projects in the region? • How will the government ensure access to sustainable resources such as clean water and energy? 2. Economic Opportunities • Which industries will be prioritized for investment and growth in Makran (e.g., trade, logistics, tourism, energy)? • Are there plans to create special economic zones (SEZs) or tax-free zones to attract domestic and foreign investment? • How will relocating the capital impact the local economy, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)? 3. Housing and Real Estate • What are the government’s plans for providing adequate housing for the incoming population? • Will there be incentives for investors in the housing and real estate sectors? 4. Regional Connectivity • How will Makran be connected to key ports like Chabahar, and how will this impact regional trade and logistics? • Are there plans to expand rail, road, and maritime transport infrastructure to improve connectivity? 5. Environmental Impact • What measures will be taken to mitigate the environmental impact of developing Makran as the new capital? • How will the government ensure environmental sustainability in urban planning? 6. Cultural and Social Integration • How will the government address the needs of the local Baluch population and ensure their inclusion in economic and social development? • Are there plans to develop cultural and educational centers to strengthen social integration? 7. Governance and Security • How will the government ensure political stability and address security challenges in the region, especially given historical concerns in Sistan and Baluchistan? • Will there be policies to encourage private sector investment and partnerships? Conclusion The Makran region holds immense potential to become a strategic hub for trade, innovation, and development. Answering the above key questions and developing strategies for infrastructure, local business support, environmental sustainability, and cultural integration are essential for the success of this project. With a comprehensive plan and collaboration between the government, private sector, and local communities, Makran can become a model for sustainable development. Moving a capital must not be a major problem, unless the both of the current & upcoming capitals are in control and meet criteria, it shouldnt be a problem. The narrator is right, Turkey, Brazil and Pakistan have moved their capitals. India must do it as well, Delhi is burdened now...
This is why I just cannot wrap my head around the recent 'concerns' over declining birth rates. We should ENCOURAGE depopulation if we want to ensure nature is able to continue supporting human kind and not get completely ravaged by our never ending greed and shortsightedness.

Iran could possibly do it if they didn’t waste so much money on proxy wars, Revolutionary guard, and liberalized its politics and economy. As far as experts, they probably don’t have any left. Since most are either imprisoned or fled. Thus calling on experts to help is like asking for help from one’s own ancestors.
Why? Tehran has been capital of Iran since 1786, historic city and very good development. Develop Tehran more instead of build new city like Egypt and Indonesia or choose another historic capital city like Isfahan and Shiraz
Iran, please don’t go in fall like Egypt and Indonesia. If you build new city most of the time it’s going to be really expensive for basically just a glorified billionaire’s water park and resort. No one will live there, and it won’t change what is happening with overpopulation in Tehran
A country's capital symbolises more the historical and cultural nature of a country, like Paris, London, Amsterdam Iran's natural capital could have been Isfahan probably.
Tehran is too big to manage. It's a good decision to shift the capital to a lesser populated area. But, moving the capital close to the borders may not be a good decision.

Summary of the Report and Key Investment Questions on Moving Iran’s Capital to Makran
The relocation of Iran’s capital from Tehran to the Makran region in Sistan and Baluchistan presents a historic opportunity for economic, social, and infrastructural development in the area. However, the success of this project requires meticulous planning and addressing key questions across various sectors. Below are the essential investment questions:
Key Investment Questions:
1. Infrastructure Development
• What are the government’s plans for developing essential infrastructure (e.g., roads, transportation, public utilities, telecommunications) in Makran?
• What is the timeline and budget allocation for urban development projects in the region?
• How will the government ensure access to sustainable resources such as clean water and energy?
2. Economic Opportunities
• Which industries will be prioritized for investment and growth in Makran (e.g., trade, logistics, tourism, energy)?
• Are there plans to create special economic zones (SEZs) or tax-free zones to attract domestic and foreign investment?
• How will relocating the capital impact the local economy, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)?
3. Housing and Real Estate
• What are the government’s plans for providing adequate housing for the incoming population?
• Will there be incentives for investors in the housing and real estate sectors?
4. Regional Connectivity
• How will Makran be connected to key ports like Chabahar, and how will this impact regional trade and logistics?
• Are there plans to expand rail, road, and maritime transport infrastructure to improve connectivity?
5. Environmental Impact
• What measures will be taken to mitigate the environmental impact of developing Makran as the new capital?
• How will the government ensure environmental sustainability in urban planning?
6. Cultural and Social Integration
• How will the government address the needs of the local Baluch population and ensure their inclusion in economic and social development?
• Are there plans to develop cultural and educational centers to strengthen social integration?
7. Governance and Security
• How will the government ensure political stability and address security challenges in the region, especially given historical concerns in Sistan and Baluchistan?
• Will there be policies to encourage private sector investment and partnerships?
Conclusion
The Makran region holds immense potential to become a strategic hub for trade, innovation, and development. Answering the above key questions and developing strategies for infrastructure, local business support, environmental sustainability, and cultural integration are essential for the success of this project. With a comprehensive plan and collaboration between the government, private sector, and local communities, Makran can become a model for sustainable development.
