I agree. I am a relative rookie, about a year of playing and instruction, and these things are beyond my level but I figure that if I can improve my knowledge by understanding 5 or 10 percent after watching its a big plus. Then when I rewatch I can learn a bit more each time. Not everybody views this type of content this way though.
@@skintslots ^This is the way to do it. Practice your intervals, your chords, and your fretboard memorization. Whenever you're tired with guitar, switch to ear training, and your playing will get better significantly faster. I suggest an app called Perfect Ear for your ear training. It's free, and has numerous intervals for you to start memorizing. One day and a time, and you'll be good bud 👍🏾

I was literally stuck in my guitar journey. I know chords and scales and how they intertwine, but when I improv, I am either playing scale or chord exclusively. I wanted a way to have seamless transitions between the two modes of playing... and thank heavens, this video popped up on my youtube :) Thank you!
Lucky are the one who see this tutorial videos very intelligent perfect n understandable. Last 30 yrs ago when I first play guitar it does not exist this kind of help.
This one video took my playing to a level I've been aspiring to get to. As another member said, you have the best channel hands down!!! Thank you for this.
I really like your classroom style of teaching. Everything you say is relevant. You have the best channel for learning guitar theory, in my opinion. Thank you.
this lesson is one of the most useful 12 minutes of my guitar life. Have always wanted to know how to do that and this definitely provides the base for that knowledge. well done
congratulations your learning method is incredible it is helping me a lot .. in a short time I have noticed great progress. very good job thank you very much greetings from barcelona (Spain)
Your videos are the most helpful with anything guitar related. The quality and production of them is incomparable, and always provide hours and hours of things I can practice (and just having a lot of fun) for me. Recently I've been trying to understand chord melody and wasn't going anywhere but after this video I finally feel like I have something that I can start on!!!! I just want to finish this by saying I'm extremely grateful for the lessons you put out. They've been the backbone of learning things since I started playing, and I wouldn't know as much as I do now without them. Thank you for helping ignite a burning passion for playing the guitar, and for helping me really learn how to express my self and my feelings. I appreciate every single thing that you do for your videos. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These lessons are so insightful, clear, well structured. This one especially has made sense of what I’ve being trying to grasp and put into practice regarding triads. And he thanks us for our time and patience ...
Honestly blows my mind. I understand everything he says so clearly! What a skilled instructor and with perfect functional diagrams. I’m so thankful for this channel!
Absolutely brilliant instruction for a very complex and up to now almost impossible for me to grasp, makes it very clear and happy to have patience in waiting for your next lessons, keep it up you're great, I've gone and joined you Patreon also to learn more!
Holy Hell..I just came back to guitar and have been writing a bit...this is unbelievably helpful for progressions and even modulating. beautiful video!! 3rd watch now
Mike this lesson shows you are genius...Thank you very much for creating this as you made it very clear to understand many complicated things...Noone has ever explained this topic like this ❤️❤️ Lots of love
All of your lessons are outstanding. I've wanted to learn how you use triads for harmonies and melodies. You've shown how to do it in a way that is easy to understand. I've also enjoyed your minor, harmonic and melodic scales lessons immensely.
Very well presented. I feel like this content scratches the precise itch I've been having about how to more easily think about voicings that sound smooth (as opposed to disjointed) and match the melody positions more easily.
So happy, u uploaded. Fret jam it's where I learned guitar, thanks a lot. Can you please make a lesson on how diminished and minor scales are derived from the major scale and how to extract chords from these scales.
Given that the previous part was published six years ago, i bet i will not make it to the 3 Chapter 😃 You're a freaking genius in delivering music content, thanks!
My plan is to do a poll shortly, and if there is an appetite for continuing the series vs a break with something different I'll get to it! Thanks for your time friend.

Totally agree
Watched alot of FretJam and have learned different insights into the fretboard others don't provide.
I honestly believe you are the very best virtual guitar instructor there is. Hands down the most digestible videos out there.
This is the most Criminally Underrated guitar channel available. Very tasty licks by the way.
I feel like his content is aimed towards more advanced playing techniques, and most people that play guitar don’t make it this far unfortunately.
