@@jt8142 JT, you must work for Dr. Dray. You weigh in at the perfect time, offering tips on where to find specific videos & smoothing things over when she gets that irritable edge of hers. I hope she pays you well! Thank you.❤️❤️❤️
Hey Dr. Dray, just wanted to say I hope your mom is doing ok and please let her know we miss her, wish her the best and eagerly await her return to the channel.
I'm so early.... Stretch marks should be normalized, everyone seems to have them even if I can't see mine. They look cool like tribal marks on skin 😺✌🏻😋
Mine are my tiger stripes. I'm fierce with them. On my chest and thighs showing how my body has grown and developed as a woman and carried my baby. I love my silver threads running over my body. 💕
I have stretch marks across much of my body since I was 14. In in the last year in my 30s I experimented with different methods. I was very surprised to find that microneedling did help with older stretch marks. I use both an alpha hydroxy cream and a retinol cream which seemed to help as well. Although some of the challenges have been creams applied to the body are much more cost prohibitive. I also wonder about the safety of vitamin a when being used over large parts of the body vs. just the face and try to minimize this by alternating sections. I was going to incorporate centella about 3 days after microneedling to help with the wound healing. I found chemical peels on their own not to produce the results I was hoping for. Hopefully someone finds some of this helpful :)
Olly Measurements thanks for this. I had read that microneedling helped. I bought a kit and plan to try it, but I've been hesitant. Your message really encouraged me. Got mine at a very young age due to copious amounts of steroid cream my mom applied to my skin without understanding the consequences. I swear mine have never "faded to white".
Applying sunless tanner actually accentuates my stretch marks. My skin tone deepens but the stretch marks are effectively old scars so the colour doesn’t take and the contrast is then greater as the white/silvery tone stands out more. I don’t care though, literally every woman has stretch marks and if they don’t, I guarantee they will get them at some point in their life!
Honestly, I don’t even care about my stretch marks. I have so many other body image issues that I’m fighting, I am surprised that my stretch marks don’t bother me lol I have lost about 40 lbs and have another 20 to go. I have loose skin & stretch marks. Oh welllllllll...... (ONLY SPEAKING FOR MYSELF NOT ANYBODY ELSE)
I got them in my teenage years, overnight! Some on the knees when I used an epilator for the first time plus some on my thighs after one day of skiing, weird bodies.. Might try professional microneedling one day if I have nothing better to do. Thank you for the tips!
I use shea butter and cocoa butter the whole time I was pregnant it didn't do anything but after I got the stretch marks that were red I use Mederma and it helped tremendously like I don't even see anything
The Palmers tummy butter and massage lotion is really helping me during my pregnancy. It seams to help me for these new stretch marks and my old ones but its only a slight difference. I remember using bio oil in high school that really made them almost completely disappear. I just wanted to try something different. I'm going to use bio oil after my pregnancy.
I have a few stretch marks from my pregnancy’s. With my 1st and 3rd I didn’t get any new stretch marks. With my 2nd I just got 1 on each of my sides and with my 4th I got 3 or 4 very small once on my stomach that are hardly noticeable. I made sure to lotion with cerve lotion that has hyaluronic acid in it and I’m happy with the end result of having a very minimum amount of stretch marks after 4 pregnancy’s. I continue to use the same lotion, I also sometimes use some of my ordinary products on them and my Inkey list retinal cream sometimes. I’m so happy that you made this video so that I could see if there’s any products that I could also be using to help with them.
I got stretch marks when I was pregnant. I moisturized religiously but genetics won. I lost have loose skin which I plan to get cosmetically fix after I plan my last baby. My midwife recommended tanning, but I am photosensitive and that’s just a huge no go for me.
This is great! I'm pregnant right now, first time. Stretch marks are ok, but I like to prevent them as much as I can. There is no magic solution, but I'm really happy you mentioned centella, because I'm already using that after I did some research on my own. Confirmation that I'm doing at least something right haha!
@@renelleblythe3827 To be honest, I'm using the PURITO - Centella Unscented Serum right now. It maybe sounds weird, because it's meant for the face, but it's really hard to find ANY (good) bodylotions with centella (I live in the Netherlands). It contains high amounts of centella and it also contains hyaluronic acid. On top of this, I just use a basic, fragrance free bodylotion.
I got pregnant at 24, and had my little one the day before my 25th birthday. Now I’m covered, absolutely covered in stretch marks(stomach, all around my thighs, all over my breasts(I was a 36 AA and only went up to 36 B), butt, a couple under my arms(!!)) Trust me, you want to prep your skin now!! I do believe that genetics play a key role, but my skin barrier was very fragile from ineffective moisturizers and body washes. Wish I had known about the hyaluronic acid in lotion beforehand!

Helpful tip here for anyone pregnant to prevent stretch marks. I used raw (no additives) cocoa and shea butter daily (massaged this in well same as Dr. Dray mentioned) throughout all of my pregnancies. I have no stretch marks. I know it’s not a guarantee but if your diligent using these daily or often as possible it just may prevent them. Worked well for me.
My Tretinoin prescription has azelaic acid in it. Its compounded specifically for me, but its a low % of azelaic acid. It's worked really well for me. 🤷🏼♀️
Mom had four kids, and without a single stretch mark on her body. Dunno if it’s good genes, or the baby oil she used during pregnancies. I had them in my teen years, and I’m still getting them. The good genes skipped a generation I guess 💔
The depression is what bothers me. If they were just lines, I would be ok with them, but the fact that the skin feels severely damaged is what I hate. I wonder if there's some way to fill them in
Dr Dray, what do you think of using AHA lotions before and during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks? Since AHAs build collagen, wouldn't they help in preventing stretch marks? Would love to know whT you think..
Hello! I had my first baby 3 months ago so I have plenty of stretch marks that are raised and pinkish-purple. I’ve tried everything to reduce their appearance! from coconut oil to a “specialized” cream called StretcHeal which gave me NO visible results! So I bought Differin, the HydroBoost cream, and a good sunblock to test whether these would work.I’m on day two so I’m not sure if I’m experiencing a placebo effect, but I see a noticeable difference in the appearance of my lighter stretch marks. I am eagerly waiting to see my results in the next month. P.s. don’t worry I’m not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Hey! I am impressed with the results that I got from using Differin! I did however change to a La-Rosh Posay Lotion. I live in a very dry climate, so the HydroBoost wasn't as moisturizing as I wanted it to be & it made me break out- I have sensitive skin. My stretch marks faded from raised, bright pink- purple to being hardly noticeable. I applied the Differin after every shower, then followed up with moisturizer for a solid month. I didn't use the sunblock too often because I didn't really expose my skin to the sun that summer. I definitely recommend trying out Differin. hope this helps
I don't think it's "bad luck" to get stretch marks. It seems to be a process happens to a lot of people. I really do think skin-care and self-love has the power to provide tender love and care to parts of us (and our bodies) that deserve it the most. Thank you for these tips Dr. Dray!
What do you think of dietary hyaluronic acid? Ive been taking it for joint health as an older woman, thankfully i dont have joint issues but id like to keep it that way ,but do you think its also beneficial for skin like some say?
Would love a response back! I just had white stretch marks show up out of nowhere on my abdomen. Never went through the pink or purple phase. I dont want to do laser therapy. I've tried many creams, bought a derma roller I'm planning to use, and a home miroderm abrasion kit. Anything else you recommend me doing before visiting a derm? Thanks! Love your content!
Dr. Dray, I’ve noticed in your scar video you list silicone as a treatment/ prevention but not in the stretch mark video. Is silicone not as helpful in stretch mark prevention?
If I have not used retinoids before and I apply it to my thighs for stretch marks, is the skin there likely to purge? Do we need to go through the same routine as you would when introducing retinoid to the face? Thanks for the video!
Ive been using retin-a on my ass and hips and so far i havent purged i guess the only reason people purge is cause of an acne problem so if Theres no acne in that área theres no reason to purge
I never got stretch marks but my son got them on his back when he had a major growth spurt. I didn't know that could happen. It almost looked like he had lash marks. His cousin had them on the backs of her legs after a growth spurt about the same time. Was just odd to see kids with stretch marks
it is not odd, people like you are odd that find normal stuff odd just because they didn’t have it...be informed rather than feeling odd about perfectly normal stuff that happens to kids too...shame on you for calling it odd because you are uneducated
Would these help for sagging skin? I was lucky not to get stretch marks after 2 pregnancies, but I do have sagging skin. I started using tretinoin .015% 1 month ago and it has been amazing for my face! I also started using RetrinAL for my hooded eyes (I know it’s for around the eyes, but I took my chances) and the results have been amazing with that too! I would be ecstatic to find something work as well for my stomach
Micro needling can help. There is video on UA-cam where a women uses it with a vitamin c serum and got amazing results for her saggy belly skin. Maybe you find it
D1b h I appreciate the advice. However, I have also heard that microneedling can cause damage/scarring . I think Dr. Dray has also advised that it should really only be done by a professional (although I did go rogue with the RetrinAL, lol)
How do you use the retrinal around eyes? Do you use it up to under eye area and lid? Trying to figure out how to improve my new loose eye skin. Boy am I aging fast.
Today i went to the pharmacy to buy some of Dr Dray suggested/reviewed product. The saleswomen there were pissssssed that i was refusing some of their suggestions cause i knew what ingredients to look for and what to avoid ! So big thanks to you Dr Dray 😘. I do however have a question - Cerave or Cetaphil facial moisturizers are difficult to find and tonight i want to try Differin gel of my face and i was wondering if Vaselin beforè the differin is ok !?
Yes!!! Thanks for this. I’m a very petite woman who tends to have 8 lb to 9 lbs babies 😬. The stretch mark struggle is for real. Would Cerave hydrating body wash be good since it has hyaluronic acid?
Lol u sound like me....my son was stuck in my hips during delivery n I needed an emergency c-sect....going to try and start applying retinol (6 years later 😆)

Dr.Dray, Please do a review of the is clinical skincare line. I love their products but want to know if it’s worth the money. Otherwise what is a similar routine that is less costly. Thank you!
I have done Microneedling with plasma on mine and they did diminish a bit. I used Tretenoin afterwards as well. Mine are on my hips and happened during puberty I blame my legs growing a foot in less than a year lol
My last hope was kinda expensive Trilastin, it faded a lot but after stopping using it's back so I gave up on this fight, but still using Retin oil by Deciem and that's kinda helping and not ruining my wallet...
Dr Dray glowing as usual ✨ Could you please talk about squalane for oily/acne prone skin, I’ve always read that it’s good for those skin types however every time I use a product containing it I break out in comedones 😢

They say bio.oild is good it's like a pink bottle

if you’re obese sorry
Hi Dr Dray I know this is off Topic about your video, but does tinted windows at home prevent UVA from coming in?
What about microneedling?
The depression is what bothers me. If they were just lines, I would be ok with them, but the fact that the skin feels severely damaged is what I hate. I wonder if there's some way to fill them in
Dr Dray, what do you think of using AHA lotions before and during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks? Since AHAs build collagen, wouldn't they help in preventing stretch marks? Would love to know whT you think..
Happy Friday I can’t thank you enough!!!!!!!!!i love you so much!!! Dr dray any tips to grow my lashes and eyebrows?
I have heard some people say pure shea
butter is good to use as a moisturizer while pregnant on the belly, would You agree?
I can attest to that! It works!! Pure Shea butter though
Shea butter and cocoa butter worked for me also retinol
Hi, how did it go?
@@cavilll2554 Thanks a lot for the tip!
I don't think it's "bad luck" to get stretch marks. It seems to be a process happens to a lot of people. I really do think skin-care and self-love has the power to provide tender love and care to parts of us (and our bodies) that deserve it the most. Thank you for these tips Dr. Dray!
I swear I was just thinking about this when u posted
Dr Dray - any similar solutions for older stretch marks that have faded to white many years ago?
What type of chemical peels would you recommend for diminishing stretchmarks?
Can you use retinol after using a soap with lactic acid or salicylic acid? I usually bathe using a milk based soap or the Cerave SA body wash.
Hyularonic acid, chemical peel, moisturiser, centella
Hi Dr.Dray,
Does the hyaluronic acid in the neutrogena cream penetrate the skin ?Thanks.
In the course of choosing to use hyaluronic acid, can a product by The Ordinary help?
How often should you chemically exfoliate stretch marks?
Also how about physical exfoliating or body brushing? Can this help or hurt stretch marks
So my son has had some growth spurts and has them in places. I will be getting the lotion and the retinol for him.
Hello, thanks for the information. What do you think of the new treatment of camouflage of stretch marks, do you think it is a good option?
What about microneedling combined with tretinoin & hyaluronic acid added after 24hours after treatment
?
There are some people using that at the time of micronnedling
I want to know also?
Ive been using retin-a on my ass and hips and so far i havent purged i guess the only reason people purge is cause of an acne problem so if Theres no acne in that área theres no reason to purge
Can you recommend any niacinamide products?
I was thinking about this recently! Thank you!
Hope you like it!
Thank you again and agaim for posting. Have a great weekend.
The cerave retanol really helped!
The Truth might be too occlusive for the differing to penetrate through
Hi Dr Dray, what do u think about Medik8 rentinol products? And Medik8 products in general? Could you do a review of that brand? Thanks!
I've heard that Shea butter is good for preventing and fading stretch marks. Is this true?
Is there an order to applying these?
Ya i need a bucket of retinol for my stretch marks. Whats the biggest form of retinol for a decent price
This video is preventative and early treatment, I would love to get a treatment when the strtech mark has already turned white.
k dl: Go to 4:57 and 7:25 in the video for info on Topical Vitamin A and Procedures as they can be part of your treatments to minimize stretch marks, even older ones.
What body cream do you recommend with Centella Asiatica?
What do you think of Alaffia- Pure Shea Butter? Thanks 🙏
Dr.Dray,
Please do a review of the is clinical skincare line. I love their products but want to know if it’s worth the money. Otherwise what is a similar routine that is less costly. Thank you!
What would you say about the CeraVe moisturizer, the blue one in the tub?
She likes it. She recommended it before
I have done Microneedling with plasma on mine and they did diminish a bit.
That happened to me when I used bio oil years ago when I quit a lot of the color came back but not all of it.
Should retinol be avoided on the stomach if we are planning for a future pregnancy?
Dr Dray glowing as usual ✨
Could you please talk about squalane for oily/acne prone skin, I’ve always read that it’s good for those skin types however every time I use a product containing it I break out in comedones 😢
Tamara Pacheco: Type “dr dray squalane” in the UA-cam search bar to find a video on this oil.
