Ours is pushing around 410whp, and it’s great! Modern cars are awesome, we also have a daily driver SUV that puts down over 800whp. The fact that they’re both easy to just hop in and drive is amazing to me!
I bought my stinger gt used with 45k miles it came with injen intakes , and I recently done a muffler delete. I plan on going lap 3 soon tired of all these scat packs picking on me
I feel like with an actual custom full e85 tune these can be in the mid to high 500 whp range with actual full bolt ons maybe even touch the 600 whp range, with primary catless downpipes of course, in the first clip you had put, the owner posted his mods on his Instagram, that stinger is pushing 515 whp on just e30 and meth and full bolt ons, off of a piggy back tune (lap3 2.5), so I can only imagine, But I have yet to see someone crack the ecu and the fuel system to run full e85.

If you get a solid tune it won’t damage your engine at all, but depending on how aggressive you make it, you will be putting more strain on your engine in the long run, which is why I typically go for a moderate tune

I live in central cali but if I’m ever down there I’ll lyk. I’m only running a stage 1 tune on 91 octane so you might get me, but it will be close no doubt . If I went stage 2 it would probably be a different story 😈
When you installed the lap3 tune did you have to change the spark plugs? I’m only wanting to to a stage 1.5 running 93 so I want it to have some get up but still be subtle, wondering if I will need to upgrade the spark plugs
I would recommend it yea, the stock plugs aren’t great from the factory, so hks plugs are a great option. Just make sure to gap them from .022-.024 in. If you want a cheaper option I’ve heard you can regap the stock plugs to that gap as well.

Congrats brotha, for the hks plugs, the ideal gap is from .022-.024” from my experience. In regards to anything else to look out for, I’d say just be careful installing the wiring harness on the new ecu. It is fairly easy to plug it in but you want to make sure you don’t mismatch each set of wires.

My Stinger GT2 AWD has all the goodies and WMI. Using a JB4 to run the WMI and a stage 1 Tork tune that actually just shipped yesterday. I am going to do a 1/4 mile run with the dragy once installed. I already have the Tork TCU tune and OMG just with that launching is insane. I had no idea that people were getting close to 3 second 0-60 times and now I'm wondering what mine actually does. I don't launch it often and I actually don't even drive the car all that much because I live next to where I work. E-bike or Onewheel most of the time. I would think keeping it garaged and not driven much it would last a lot longer with heavier mods. I have fun with it when I do drive it though. I hope to see some mods to make the drivetrain more robust first, like you said that's the weak link right now. Fix that and then push the engine because it will be able to reliably handle it. Appreciate the feedback. I’ve heard great things about the tcu tune from Tork motor sports, I’m sure your stinger rips! When it comes to the drivetrain, I’m not sure if there are any mods out there to increase the strength/reliability of the system. I will definitely look into it and would like to hope that they address it with a future stinger if production continues.
If you have a solid tire setup, you should be able to get close those times when you are able to hook. Check out Palawest’s channel he has the rwd stinger with lap 3 stage 2.5 tune.
I typically drive in comfort mode, but when I want to rip it I switch it to sport mode. I always drive in manual mode to prevent lugging the engine though.
I have an 18 stinger GT. I Keep getting misfires and needing to get a coil pack replaced every few months. I only have an exhaust, no intakes. Everything else is stock. Spark plugs? No clue what would be causing it and dealers won't help out.
I would definitely try changing the spark plugs. I was dealing with the same issue, and when I took it to the dealer they said the car was fine and my spark plugs should be good. They didn’t even bother to check.Problem persisted so I decided to do it myself and the spark plugs looked completely fried. I replaced with hks plugs and gapped them to .023” and haven’t had a problem since.

That’s a tough one because I’m not sure if just the k&n filters would be enough to cause the car to run lean. Are the plugs at the correct gap? From what I’ve heard you want to run them at around .023 - .024 inches. I’ve had to change my hks plugs already because they weren’t gapped properly the first time. It’s been months since then and I haven’t experienced any more misfire issues. If that doesn’t work then I would suggest go for a proper tune and make sure to let the tuner know that you are experiencing misfires and are looking for a solution.
@@SammyBGarage ok thank you I believe the hks plugs come gapped already, or maybe my air filters need to be changed. Once I had the engine put in the car was misfiring 5 months later, stock plug 2 cracked, that's why I put hks in put still having problems.
I checked the gaps on the hks plugs straight out the box, they were set at like a .033 or something like that, I would recommend at least checking them

I'm leaving my GT2 Limited stock but the idea of tuning it up is interesting.
The biggest bottleneck is the exhaust manifold .... fix that and the sky will be the limit if not limit is around 700-800 hp

does tuning your car damage it? sorry new to this world but just got a GT2

Mine is intakes and catback.. just a basic dd so not to worried. It’s fast enough.
It’s pretty wild, but stock is plenty fast, no shame in that.
Transmission has limit of around 600tq but engine so far its crazy

What 0-60 times can you get out of a RWD version? We only get the RWD in Australia so keen to know what I could get out of it.
