High level mvc1 is probably the most entertaining of the mvc games to me.
The Art Direction on these games is UNREAL

Same. Its so 90’s. I hate the overly muscular designs of new games and the overly conservative designs of today.
Marvel VS Capcom 1 is seriously slept on more than it ever deserves to be.
it is a heavy neutral game and most characters are cheap, but all ends when infinite loops enter the chat. wolverine being one of the most common top tier cheap stuff, gambit has its own shit too. However i always love to see War machine do crazy shit regardless of being infinites. It is a good game overall.
Its one of the best, I think MVC2's longevity allowed for earlier entries to be overshadowed. This game is definitely great

@@ausgamecollector indeed if something barely is worth to learn from the smash scene is their dedication to not let any iteration behind. And they can get it done cause of their majors dedicated to celebrate smash as a whole. If you think about fgc regular majors you have plenty of tittles but it is so shared that you have to aim for the main actual line of games, at best they have a side event like animevo or ceo anime games. I think that not all has to go to the main stream and should at least be archived.

Good lord, Majeztik must have took it personally when you called his team basic, lol. I was on the edge of my seat this whole set! High level MvC1 action is entertaining as hell.
can you make tutorial series on how to play wolverine+strider? strategy guide, combos and suff? I think more players would be interested with the MVC arcade 1up and all. Also interested in MSH. Character tier list, combos, tutorials, guides etc
MvC1 has advanced tremendously in fightcade, the amount of tech that has been discovered is plain insane.

One of the things I really like about MVC1 opposed to MVC2 is MVC1's sprite uniformity of quality and aesthetic. Some of the stuff in MVC2 looks out of place, with older sprites mixed with newer, over 3D backdrops. Love both games, though.

mvc 1 had coolest everything. end of an era. only thing it needed was more characters. mvc2 delivered that but the 3d weird stages cant compare to classic marvel vs capcom stages. also mvc2 should have been 6 player as well.
Except the backgrounds. Mvc1 has the shittest backgrounds by far out of the games from Xmen Children of the Atom - up to Mvc2
Nice to see MvC1 getting some love! We at the discord have been trying to revive it, updating the SRK page and hosting tournaments on occasion. Can you believe that Ryu's technically a stance character here?
With how boring Ryu is in other games, I think he should always be a stance character

These are one of those matches where you don't really care you lost because it was so much fun. Man, I love fighting games!
MvC1 is my favorite MvC game of them all by far! Also, to get a few more extra hits at the end of the strider air combo, use qcf +jab (it hits like an extra 5 or so hits). For example, my Strider combo would be: low short, low fierce, u+f, jab, short, strong, forward, qcf+jab for the diagonal rush ending! 🙏🏾

Ya'll really need to get on MvC1, gameplay is phenomenal despite roster size and team size vs later games. Still by far my most played FG, variable cross is hands down my most favorate FG mechanic ever to be in a game, both characters on screen while the background turns into an acid trip and the background music gets fast paced and trippy like with the back ground and then your opponent does the same same and shits flyin everywhere so much so that the frames drop and aaaahhhhhhh..... I gotta pick this back up.
its the hypest fg ever especially 4 player mode. mvc2 only more loved cause of roster size mvc1 is better.

@Filthy DizBiz been playing fighting games for almost 20 years and have never once heard or read someone refer to it as st until now. In my experience its always been either sft or sf2. Honestly sf5 has been pretty good every since they lowered the frame buffer imo but it still pales in comparison to any of the other games so i understand why people say its still trash. Whats the point of playing it when you can play any other sf and get more enjoyment out of it

This doesn't make sense to me cuz the secret characters aren't even broken. Most of them aren't even top tier.
War Machine and Stryder are just as good if not better than Red Venom and Gold Warmachine. As Red Venom has absurdly low health and Gold Warmachine can't block making him complete fodder to Stryder with meter.
@@nybethobdilord6912 two war machines in a dual hyper combo is chip city. Red venom can tod in a time where tod was sposed to be hard. Shadow lady can combo better than chunners I think from what I seen.
@@e69alpha that is essentially the main reason to play gold war machine. Regular warmachine is essentially better in every other regard besides having a worse projectile. Gold warmachine gets shredded by Stryder.
Red Venom can easily set up infinites but at the cost of being able to easily be killed in one to two combos due to having the lowest health in the game. Shadow Lady is considered to be worse than Chun-li.
@@nybethobdilord6912 every shadow lady I see performs infinite on every character even wolverine by jump dash cancelling and I never see chun li do it
