Had this chair 2 weeks. Took some adjusting to get used to a mesh chair after a padded leather one. I am no longer having back pain though and the movable arm rests almost makes it worth it alone, as a professional guitarist. The lumbar can be a bit harsh in some positions but it forces you to sit properly. Worth buying at the discounted £499. Your review was good!

I would think, that after some time, the mesh would begin to stretch and you could end up sitting with your bum on the support bracket underneath the mesh.... or the mesh would just starting breaking after awhile. 🤔

@@twofacepalmer1212 I have had a mesh office chair before, that cost £100. I used it every day for 2 years, and the mesh didn't become warped or damaged, despite me weighing over 100kg. I only got rid of that chair because I was moving, and didn't have space to bring it with me. I was gutted, as it was supercomfortable.

@@Locutus A mesh office chair I have has stretched to where I can slightly feel the support structure under my bum 😁(I weigh 220lbs). When new, the distance between the mesh seat and the support structure under the mesh was about 3". After about 6 months the mesh stretched and now sags. I guess I must have bought a cheap chair 😄

Thanks. Sitting here on an old chair of unknown provenance that I got for free when my wife's company moved offices years ago and had a if-you-can-carry-it-out-it's-yours clearout. Just decided, what with working at home so much now I might just treat myself to something new. Of course, this hinomi is way above what I was thinking of paying but hey, one gets wot one pays fer. Thanks for the thorough review. What with discount offered on the current price I think I can bear it. I work for myself so my company will stump up and I'll get the VAT back too. How exciting!

I bought this chair just before Christmas but decided to return it before the 30 days trial expired. I found the lumbar support was far too severe and there was no way I could adjust it to make myself comfortable. Word of warning to others, take pictures of how the chair is packed before removing it from the box as re-packing for return was very challenging to say the least! Separating the parts of the chair also did require some real brute force and there were times when I almost gave up!
On a positive note the company were easy to contact and deal with and always responded quickly. The chair was collected by courier at no charge which I thought was very fair.
Another thing worth mentioning is that this chair is very heavy. The box was way too heavy for me to get up a flight of stairs, so in the end I took individual parts out and upstairs one by one.

Same deal here with the lumbar support - unbelievable how over pronounced it is; who designed this???? You can see it in the videos so use your eyes and common sense before buying it!
Mesh is also like sitting in a trampoline, which hurts your butt after a while…there is no moulding to your body about it
      Way too heavy also

im really interested in this chair. finally armrests mounted to the back instead of the seat which means you wont completely lose elbow support when fully reclined. i dont think this exists in any other chair below the humanscale/herman miller cost segment...
warranty wise..they know they can do 15 years, they are just trying to reduce marketing costs by getting you to advertise for them which is fine--i'm probably paying a few bucks less for the chair because of it. anyway, the issue with mesh chairs is stretch and sag in the seat over time which sounds like it isnt even covered in the first place--again i believe only humanscale/herman miller do this and hence they are in a totally different price tier.

Thanks for the video! I’m curious if anyone has experienced the seat mesh becoming loose after a year or more of use. Over the past decade, I’ve bought several mesh chairs, but all of them lost their seat mesh tightness after about a year, ending up saggy. To be fair, none of those chairs were priced like the HINOMI-the most expensive was around $250. I'm considering this chair, but I want to know if it will eventually have the same issue. I should also mention that I have two herniated discs at L3 and L4, so seat support is really important for me.

It looks great. I have a Herman Miller Aeron, but if this was available when I was shopping around for a chair, I'd probably have gone for it. It has more features than the Aeron while being less than half the price (currently). I guess the only question mark is if the company will still be here in X number of years if I need to make use of the warranty, but if the chairs are as good as people are saying, I don't see why they wouldn't be.

I have this chair too (but the classic plus edition) as a secondary office chair to my ErgoTune Supreme V3. They are both excellent value and comfortable chairs in Singapore and I agree with many of your points!! One thing to note however is that the adjustments (especially the H1 Pro's headrest) can be quite loud and noisy with sharp sounds, compared to a slightly quieter adjustment on the ErgoTune Supreme. But the H1 Pro does have a built in footrest and foldable design which the ErgoTune doesn't have,, so its really up to the user's preference in terms of which functions are the best for them :)

well i already got my secretlab 22 with that twist knob lumbar but if i saw this chair before would have gotten this one. after upgrading from a cheapo mesh office chair similar shape (not the rest of the features) to this hinomi especially that headrest i kind of miss the mesh for that breathability and suspended feel especially living down here in australia when it gets hot. even when its cold i just grab a small plush blanket to cover the chair from breathing too much. though idk ive been using the full recline pretty frequently and lay mostly on my side in this secretlab and ive knocked out having some good naps on this chair because it reclines so deeeeep might be hard to make the switch. ill keep this hinomi chair on my wishlist at least. 7/10 not enough guitar shredding and hair flicking

    • @Viewer13128

u kinda nailed the reason i chose not to get the Hinomi H1 Pro. From my previous mesh ergo chair, I learned that 140 degrees recline is simply not enough, and the Hinomi H1 Pro has 136 degrees recline, even less. I also learned that it's better for the back to flatten the lumbar support when in max recline, and most ergo mesh chairs cannot flatten the lumbar support and hurts even at 140 degrees recline. I decided to order an oversized Titan Evo 2022 and just get a footrest. My intention is to sleep in any position on this oversized throne while listening to my hi-fi headphone system on desktop so I can catch some sleep while listening to music. I believe the Hinomi H1 Pro is good if you are sitting upright the whole time, but for my use case, I need to be able to sit up and lay down. My impression is that the Titan Evo 2022 is a better all-rounder in this regard.

As someone looking for a new office chair and passed on the Titan Evo 2022 before, I have now decided to get the Titan Evo 2022 (in oversize) instead of these mesh ergonomic chairs (for my use case, which prioritizes leisure/relaxation). At first, I was looking for ergonomic mesh chairs with footstools (like the Hinomi H1 Pro) for back support and breathability. Regarding footstool, I decided I could just DIY a footstool easily with any stool/cushion/portable airplane footrests.
I decided to go with a budget option and got the Hyken Mesh chair. While I bet the Hinomi H1 Pro has a better lumber support than the Hyken Mesh, for my use case, I have decided to buy the Titan Evo 2022 instead. I have learned that the 140 degrees recline is simply not enough for relaxation, and the Hinomi H1 Pro has only 136 degrees recline, removing the purpose of the footstool by 50% for me.
Next, Even at 140 degrees, the lumbar support is not good for the back when reclining that far back. The Titan Evo 2022 has the option to flatten the lumbar support, whereas these ergonomic chairs cannot flatten the lumbar support.
Finally, I decided to go for an oversized Titan Evo 2022 because it becomes big enough for you to even toss and turn on the chair (lol) and it's reported softer feeling. Again, I can just get a footrest to solve any problems.
Regarding heat, before mesh, I sat in fabric and they are fine for hot summers. I am confused why Stu said that the PU leather is better for hotter places, because everyone says the opposite. PU leather is known to be not breathable whereas the softweave is known to be more breathable (even more than the 2020 titan evo).
If I was going to use an office chair for tasks 90% of the time, I would choose the Hinomi H1 Pro, but I intend to use it like a normal office chair as well as laying down to listen to music on my headphones, so I have learned to stay away from these ergonomic mesh chairs with limited recline and unremovable lumbar support.

Hi Stu, I am thinking of getting this chair, but I need your advice, I have upper and lower hamstring tendonitis, so I'm looking for a mesh chair that won't be touching off my lower hamstring (just above the knees) if I have the seat height up high, I'm 6foot 2 and for me I have to have my knees below my hips, this keeps the pressure off my hamstring, however most of these mesh chairs I have looked at have some padding near the knees or in cases like the Herman miller Areon, the haed plastic is not low enough that I can set my seat height high ie knees below hips without the hamstring tendons getting pressure off the edge of the chair. I wonder if you could tell me if this would be the case for you as you're above 6 foot so it'll give me a good idea, from what I have seen the hard plastic is low enough that it shouldn't cause an issue for me in this scenario and there's no padding high up at the edge of the seat where my knees would be. Thanks so much and sorry for the long message

I mean £500 for a good ergonomic chair is pretty reasonable. U also gotta consider the warranty that comes with this chair as this will give u a rough idea of the build quality and how long it will last. A cheaper chair that is like half the price of this £500 chair will probably only have like a 3-year warranty whereas the H1 Pro has 15 years of warranty. Therefore, you'll end up paying more to buy the same cheap $250 chair again and again over the lifetime of this more expensive ergonomic chair with a longer warranty. Just calculate the per-year cost of the H1 Pro and it's only about £35 a year! Not so expensive anymore, is it? I bet u spend more money on your mobile plan than that! And this is an investment for your BACK and HEALTH.
Additionally, it's just more wasteful and not environmentally friendly to buy cheap ergonomic chairs that will last u only like 3 years before u have to buy a new one again and again over a single lifetime of the H1 Pro. Might as well spend more money on one good ergonomic chair that will last u a longer time. Also, going with a cheap chair will give u a lower quality sitting experience (worse for your back/health) with fewer features and adjustability over the lifetime of this more expensive one. In conclusion, I strongly suggest that u raise ur budget to get a more expensive and good quality ergonomic chair as it is generally more worth it than a cheap $250 one. As I always say, buying an ergonomic chair is an INVESTMENT, NOT an EXPENSE.
