Thank you for the page references! And I too have had to push wheelchairs in inclement weather! It is a challenge - and also some of my favorite work I've ever done!
Obviously helping out wheelchair-bound people as part of your job is rewarding, but getting up and down those hills in the snow to reach that one part of the building that is wheelchair accessible. . .
At our facility, thankfully, most of the important stuff was on relatively flat ground - but I felt horrible for dietary! They had to deal with "the hill" three times a day!
The Dusty Rose Prism is not from the Core Rulebook. It is from the Pathfinder society guide (pg. 120). One quirk of this, though, is that all pathfinders have access to the aeon stones from that book (including the dusty rose and the pearly white spindle, which heals you 1 hp/minute and makes getting to 100% hp a lot easier). And since all Organized play characters are pathfinders, these show up everywhere in PFS.
To clarify, there is normally no item level limit on starting treasure, nor is there a suggestion to enforce one. The lump sum option at higher levels, however, does have a manditory item level limit of character level -1.
Sometimes. Pathfinder society limits you to item level equal to character level. But I mostly stuck to low level items because anything higher costs more than a level 1 character could afford.
Traveler’s cloaks can be made to protect against either hot or cold weather (I.e. there are two versions). They are uncommon, so you need permission, but it makes sense if you are in or near an appropriate environment. So there you go, a hot-weather version of winter clothes.
worth mentioning that armored skirts can also be used on a character with heavy armor proficiency who, for flavor or mobility reasons, wants to lean into dex, to make a suit of half plate into a +4/2 suit of heavy armor that only requires a +2 str to wear. perfect for that warpriest of cayden cailean who wants to lean into finesse weapons. and while i'm here, could we get a talisman review? i would love to know which ones you think are worth the investment
Huh, you're right. Didn't really realize how armored skirts could be used in that context. Thanks. Talismans: In general, I find Talismans too expensive and too much trouble for 1-use items. Spellhearts on the other hand . . .
@@PsiPrimeProductions1 oh, i actually wanted to know more about spellhearts too, but they seemed even more confusing. i'm sure they're underutilized, and a video on them might help a lot of people
This wheelchair is tailored for frequent adventures and travels. The design is sleek and fashionable to provide excellent comfort and support. A traveler's chair has small mechanisms, either made from interlocking wood pieces, clockwork, or other devices, that allow the chair to traverse up or down stairs without any additional difficulty (moving up stairs is still difficult terrain, just like for other characters), and move through other common adventuring terrain without any additional difficulty, such as ladders and uneven ground. ( This is straight from Archives ) so unless they left some of the description out, not sure about the difficult terrain normally part.
These are awesome! We just started a treasure hunting campaign with vastly different environments for every artifact. These are gonna make a huuuuuuge difference.
Content like this is fantastic given how difficult it is to parse through the thousands of items in the game. I know that there are tons of items that would serve my characters very well but I don't have the patience to parse through everything on Archives of Nethys. Content like this is greatly appreciated and I'll definitely tune in if you do higher level versions!
Another underrated item: Scroll Robes. Inscribe one magic scroll to this robe and use it whenever you want. You need one free hand but don't have to draw it like a scroll. Since you can use scrolls with spells of a higher rank than you are normally able to cast, this combines to an powerful emergency area heal i. e.. Also, since it has a dex cap, you can attach runes to it, although it is no armor.
I bought a cantrip deck at the start but my GM said the cantip will be random everytime I use it So now it's been 10 levels and I have no idea what to do with them
If you could find a way to reliably get cantrip decks, I suppose it could! I actually have a completely different Luz build that requires a bit of reflavoring, but I think it works. I can't post it yet, but I do intend to in the next couple of months. Too bad my last Eda the Owl Lady build didn't do well.
The swim fins do nothing as written, because your swim speed is based on your land speed...so when you take a -10 penalty to your land speed, that means you take a -5 penalty to your swim speed.. which is then counteracted by the swim fins. So as written, they have no net effect on your swim speed. Obviously that's not the intended rule so it requires some common sense interpretation by the GM.
Even more technically technically, there is a chart that shows how fast you swim based on your land speed. Reducing your land speed by 10 feet for, say a standard human (base speed 25) nets you the ability to move 5 feet on a successful swim check (or 10 on a crit success). If you add 5 to the move for swimming (due to the swim fins) then you are back to where you started EXCEPT you now move 5 feet on a fail/crit fail, so they still work . . . kinda sorta . . . even if your GM is being a pain about the rules.
7:53 FANTASY!!!!! Also, just because "renaissance" gets thrown around as something this is LOOSELY equivalent too does NOT mean that there won't be things that "don't fit the era" since it's a FICITIONAL, FANTASY world that did NOT have THE "Renaissance"!!! I mean, Golarion has robots and aliens, and ALIEN Robots!!! Also, also, MAGIC!!! Whether an item is magical or not, Magic WILL have a PROFOUND impact on things that are invented!
5:18 Wait, what?! If I have high enough strength I can tumble around in Full plate just like someone who is wearing clothes? That is ridiculous but I guess it's easier mechanically than trying to remember which Str and Dex based skills DO have the armor penalty!
It's not as ridiculous as it sounds. Armor weighs a lot, but it turns out it was designed to be as mobile as possible to let their soldiers do their killing. check out this video for some feats a guy does in full plate! ua-cam.com/video/q-bnM5SuQkI/v-deo.html
I see you're a fellow equipment enthusiast as well? Although sadly, I am disappointed at the equipment selection in Pathfinder 2e. I just wish there were more odd, miscellaneous, and/or useful items available. We don't even get a Grooming/Hygiene Kit.
I know right? I think they're great, recently gave some to my party and they immediatly sold them, didn't even consider using them. To each their own, I guess.
If attack cantrips nah, but those utility would be nice. I notice people keep stuff more often when I switched it ABP. Before we had that everyone just sold 95 % of the items to get the +1 items slightly faster.@@PsiPrimeProductions1
Yup! You got me! I make spelling mistakes sometimes. Dangers of video editing late at night! I don't have an editor, it's just me doing all these videos. Sorry it made you so angry, I guess?

I'm so happy to see Armored Skirts make it onto this list! It's a fantastic item for adapting equipment to character proficiencies.
It's pretty good!

Love that you credit artists. It's so annoying how that is rare that is.
Stabalize Cantrip deck is one of my favorite things to hand out like candy at the start of a game lol
Armored skirt is so simple and awesome for starting heavy armor wearers who would rather skip Dex!
A player at my table used it just the other day for their first level fighter!

Great list! Thanks for doing the item searching so we don't have to. :) Wish I'd known about the armored skirt a couple levels ago lol

I love this video. Different unique items are the best and most fun.
Thanks for this list of items and gear, you're helping me learn more about pathfinder
Already a great video, but the anecdote about wheelchairs got an instant thumbs up from me. :)
This is awesome!! Do more of this please! Maybe even tie items to regions? Ive always what sort of items be in the land of undead, Geb
if you want that, look into the blood lords AP. I haven’t played it, but I know it takes place in Geb.

Didn't know about the last one. Thanks!
That aeon stone is perfect for my non-spell caster fighter that uses both hands and doesn't have a hand free for a shield, that's awesome!
Nice coverage thanks

My players are going to want those swim fins. We just had our third session, and they've been in the water each session so far.

Wouldn't the skirt be good for people going medium armor but not dex as well? ^^
I would think "fluent in" implies that it's a language you can speak without needing magic to do it...
Cantrip Deck is so busted but could be very good in the right campaign
