Hawaii Technology Academy’s IMPower Empowerment Self-Defense Program

Hawai‘i Technology Academy is an innovative learning community that empowers students to become creative, critical thinkers, and enables them to determine their unique paths to success.
IMPower is an Empowerment Self-Defense Program for Schools, allowing students to gain skills in a game-based learning environment. These skills aid in violence prevention, we give students tools to navigate violence as its happening and share how to support themselves and others after an incident has occurred.
This program offers students scenario-based learning, allowing them to work through challenging situations before the occur, helping them to prevent adverse situations. This also is a peer support program, offering anti-bullying strategies, giving students ways to navigate yo-yo friends, and so much more!
We are thrilled to provide this program at Hawaii Technology Academy and look forward to supporting other schools as well!
